That moment when you scroll down the comments and give a thumbs up to EACH AND EVERY one of them, and feel that the world is good and everyone is a friend... because of Batman!
***** Are you seriously, hand on heart saying that that film is anywhere near the level of TDK? The script is HORRENDOUS. But I'm not criticizing the entire thing and not Nolan per se. You just have to accept the good and bad points. Bane is tremendous as a character in that film, I will give him that and the direction is sweet But the characters arcs, the ending, the multiple plot holes just taint the whole thing. So throwing the word masterful around when talking about TDKR? Sorry, it can't be done. But, man, don't get all defensive. I'm a major Star Wars fan - there's shite in there and greatness too with them. No group of films gets it perfect all the time.
Has anyone else noticed the underlying tones of the three movies? Batman was broken in every single manner. Scarecrow and Rás Al Ghul broke his Mind and Senses in Batman Begins. The Joker and Two-Face broke his Spirit and his Hope for Gotham in The Dark Knight. And Bane and Talia Al Ghul broke his body and Heart in The Dark Knight Rises. And he kept coming back!! Batman is the best!
Obi-Wan Cannoli This is not a superhero trilogy, and batman is not a superhero. Stfu about Raimi trilogy. it is consistently ranked as some of the greatest superhero movies of all times by critics, and is acclaimed like helll for it's emotional depth. ffs
This trilogy saved my life. When I have been close to dying and wanting to give up on this world, I watch this trilogy back to back. Thank you, Bale and Nolan,
The Dark Knight rises was the one , that helped me, through depression and lift my spirit and brought tears to my eyes, incredible filmmaking and the story was told so well.
No matter how many movies the Marvel Cinematic Universe churns out, they will never be able to match Christopher Nolan's brilliant The Dark Knight Trilogy. It is because TDKT is a complete force, it has a beginning and an end. If a franchise goes on too long like the 007 franchise, it loses it's significance. Thanks to the financial success of The Avengers we will never have another complete Superhero trilogy again. Then again I get the feeling we won't be forgetting this trilogy anytime soon... or ever.
over a decade since its INCEPTION, still the PRESTIGE of the genre with its INTERSTELLAR director leaving an unforgettable MEMENTO that puts us in INSOMNIA
This trilogy is truly a work of art and a masterpiece made by talented professionals who worked so hard to make the best superhero movies they could. I applaud Nolan, Bale, and everyone involved in these movies. Long live Batman, the legendary Dark Knight!
I think Marvel is good, but it's getting rather monotonous and stale at the moment. They need something new. Hopefully Guardians Vol. 2 will deliver on that front.
+Bix It still is good, as I previously said. But man some of their fans are so deluded sometimes. I do agree that it tells such a fun and creative story but it doesn't even come close to the power that trilogies like the Dark Knight trilogy have. But they're movies are a fun watch, as are their games and shows. But it's been so heavily milked that it lacks quality in some areas, such as the prequel movies (although I liked episode 3) and the new Battlefront game and not to mention the copy and paste Episode 7. Not to mention there's been thousands of other Star Wars titles besides battlefront. But I have to say the Star Wars books sometimes have some amazing stories. Other than that, their content is just a fun watch.
Batman taught me that I will never wake up and find out I am a mutant, I will never realize I was born in another planet giving me amazing powers, I will never be chosen to become a Green Lantern, I will never get my letter from Hogwarts, I will never learn to use the Force, I will never be bitten by a radioactive spider, I will never be born a genius with immense riches, I will never be chosen to become a super soldier, I will never be part of a race of god, I will never be super. But Batman taught me I could be great, Batman taught me that I could pick my ass up and train harder than the other guy, study harder than the other guy, work harder than the other guy, Batman taught me that throwing a punch with power, it's about throwing that punch and believing that punch will go through. He's really the embodiment of every real world hero, a reminder that the one ability that every human being has that can trump every other ability, is the choice to never give up. #WeareBatman
Matt Sobczak Iron Man isn't as motivated or motivating as Batman. He relies on his armor. Batman is still Batman without his tools, without his money with nothing. He's Batman
With Hans Zimmer's legendary score, Christopher Nolan's directing, and the fantastic actors in this trilogy, this is one of the best superhero trilogies of all time
That's the greatest thing about Batman - THE VILLAINS. I'm a huge Batman fan, from the comics, to the games, to the movies. But the Batman VILLAINS are legendary, mean, nasty and vile. They are what completes the Batman circle and makes it whole - as the greatest superhero ever.
Probably never of this caliber, not only was the cast made up of excellent acting talent, the material, and direction made their involvement worthwhile. You can hire the best actors, and while they may elevate the film, if the material isn't anything special nothing about what they bring to the screen will be as effective.
I guess we’ll see what happens with The Batman 2022. I’m interested in what they’re gonna do with Penguin and Riddler in it because I’m sure they’re going to do something similar to what goes on in these film with those villains. And I am definitely interested since Warner Bros. wanted Riddler in The Dark Knight Rises played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
I'm just imagining a British Batman... Sitting in his bat-cave... Drinking tea... Lmfao! Christian Bale has such a brilliant American accent though, it sounds even better and more natural than AMERICANS themselves. I wish he spoke with that accent more often, sounds much better than his normal accent.
Erwann Lejeune Anne Hathaway - American Morgan Freeman - American Marion Cotillard - French Aaron Eckhart - American Joseph Gordon-Levitt - American Ken Watanabe - Japanese Heath Ledger - Australian To be fair there were many non-British actors in the TDK Trilogy that all gave great performances!
+Andy Foster says the guy who has Dr.Manhattan from Watchmen (directed by snyder) in his profile Pic. I believe Snyder is a great director who needs a good writer beside.
***** he's good at adopting graphic novels that's about it, when the story is there for him. He should be a cinematographer not a director, no clue what he's doing when it comes to storytelling.
Andy Foster and the writer of Batman & Robin has won an oscar. Just because some one makes one good film at a time doesn't mean they can't make a bad film in future and just because some one makes a bad film once or twice doesn't mean they can't do a good film in future
Zack Snyder and the DCEU can try all they want but they'll never do it. This trilogy is a masterpiece. There is nothing like it and no superhero film will ever top this trilogy. Thank you Christopher Nolan for this amazing masterpiece. The 3 best movies I have ever seen. The Dark Knight Trilogy & Marvel Cinematic Universe FTW!!!!!
me to along with inception and interstellar.. 5 nolan movies in my top 10 damn... hope his next one in 2017 is a great mind f ucker or ùind bender like inception and interstellar.
I don't care that Ben Affleck will be Batman, what makes me mad is that they will never to make me as interested or as emotionally involved as Bale's portrayal of the Dark Knight. Snyder will never be Nolan, who is truly the man who saved Batman from the ashes of Joel Schumaker
Same thing to me! For me Bale is THE MAN! No matter how many Batmen will come in the future, there will be no one can make my emotion that high like Bale!
That's what people said about Keaton when Bale was cast, them not being able to make you* care about Batman as much as Bale based solely on the your personal tastes is not their problem it's yours.
Nolan is a master in story telling and he's very visionary. Snyder is more like a Visual cool action scenes director, but you're right, Batman deserves better.
This is how cinema should be. Stories with beginnings, middles, and ends not bullshit that is churned out just to make money like those Marvel movies, and books that have the last one split into two separate parts. Movies should be stories we're invested in, not stories written to support 10 sequels filled to the brim with mindless action. Cinema is making a comeback but these Marvel summer blockbusters and teenage book adaptations are stealing the spotlight. I really don't support what Marvel is doing. They may be watchable movies, but they're just there again and again, year after year. And no I'm not a DC fanboy, I just like Batman and how Nolan did these films, not cash-grab movies put out every year.
I disagree. Most of the marvel movies are good.. and I think it's good they show that at the end. Kind of like a preview to get us very excited. The dc movies like this and " Man Of Steel " are glorious non the less.
***** Yeah, I don't think Nolan would churn out movies even if he had those advantages. He likes keeping his stories concise and important. Every movie he's done thus far has been different making each film of his important in its own way. In the case of Marvel, yes I said the movies were entertaining, but they're coming out again and again. It will get boring or get to the point where the money is more important than the viewer, like the case with Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed. Same with Star Wars and Disney. Sure all these spin-offs they're planning to do may be cool and great but they're just gonna go and go and never end so you can't appreciate them as much. Also, you cannot say that about all books. Harry Potter I believe deserved a 2 parter because the books and films are fantastic, but in the case of The Hunger Games, the last book and movie were GOD AWFUL. I nearly fell asleep in Mockingjay Part 1. So you can't deny that it was made specifically for the purpose of making more money. And sure, I may need to "get over myself," but watching series like Lord of the Rings and The Dark Knight Trilogy end, you build a greater connection to the art. You know that it's over and there won't be more like it. How many people do you see actually caring about all these Marvel comic book movies? None. Do you just want the same story-arcs that span years and movies that merely entertain instead of having new original stories that actually go above and beyond? I'm not against fun action movies, just how those movies are stealing the limelight. Yeah, I make 'moviegoing insufferable," but hey, it's for the better.
Tanner M. They're stealing the limelight during the summer because no one wants to see drawn out dramas during that time. They want to have fun. Its also a bit of Nolan's fault that there are so many because his movies basically reignited superheroes, and with Iron Man being such a huge success they built a franchise around it. But don't think because Nolan is more "real" than something like the Avengers, that Nolan's movies are somehow more valid. There is drama and story in what Marvel is doing as well, and obviously people want to see these stories and friendships and rivalries and worlds played out on the big screen. And honestly, I found the world of Marvel instantly more interesting and satisfying than something like the extremely drawn out and overly pretentious Lotr movies. You want a money grabber? There ya go.
I love the dark knight trilogy, but u dont needa bash marvel movies like that...first of all, marvel movies has different directors. Second marvel movies are all pretty good and i dont think i am wasting my money to go and watch marvel movies.
***** "This is what happens when a unstoppable force meets an immovable object" I'm done debating because we're both arguing our own opinions, and obviously, with you seeing LOTR as boring, we are on two opposite ends of the spectrum, so we're not going to change each other's minds or opinions.
This is how you do a superhero movie. The tone of this trilogy is what separates this from anything Marvel has ever made. It's dark, it's serious, and it has no time for cheesy one liners. This, is not just the greatest superhero trilogy of all time, but this is THE greatest trilogy of all time.
Look man having fun is also a part of superhero movies, they don't have to be dark to be considered a good superhero film. I personally love this trilogy the most, marvel has fun entertaining films that are at least self aware
Star Wars, the Godfather, Lord of the Rings, and The Dark Knight. Hands down to me the greatest trilogies of all time bar none past, present and future!
Toy Story. Most consistent trilogy apart from LOTR and they're all rocking 100's on Rotten Tomatoes. The first one completely revolutionized animation and started Pixar's theme of animated movies for adults. The second one was meant to be direct-to-DVD but it was so good they released in theaters. And everyone cried in the third one.
Summerland44 Ehh I'm sure Civil War is amazing, and Winter Soldier was awesome, but First Avenger was waaaayyy too weak for that trilogy to compete with the Dark Knight Trilogy.
+Phillo127 You make a valid point, the first one was fairly weak compared to its sequels. TDK trilogy is widely known as the better trilogy, but the Cap trilogy is clearly the best trilogy in the MCU. I known TDK trilogy is viewed as better but the Cap trilogy IMO is better, but it's all perspective I'm just glad we're talking about 2 comic book trilogies being amazing haha
It is people like Christopher Nolan why I'm so in love with our modern cinema. Yes, movies these days are mainly reboots/remakes/prequels/sequels of already established and successful franchises, but every once in a while something epic and heart-gripping rises from the pit - every once in a while I can be proud to consider myself a movie-enthusiast. Thank you Nolan and everyone else involved in this fantastic trilogy for trying something original with this franchise and the comic book genre in general!
Yes, Nolan is the best currently and I love his vision which is darker and more real than the established industry, but his Man of Steel writing completely threw me off the fan-wagon. He needs to make up for that in Interstellar. Though, most of the blame should be on Zack Snyder.
***** While not being as fantastic as the Dark Knight Trilogy I still really liked Man of Steel. But then, it is all a matter of taste and I wouldn't consider that one a pure Nolan movie anyway.. ;)
IamTMan007 Yeah I'm just saying because people keep on about Nolan being the main influence on the entire movie in almost every aspect. While I can also see plenty of "Nolan-elements" in MoS, it is almost nothing like previous Nolan movies (on a technical basis)...
Kevora92 I may not have made my comment clear last time. This is not a Nolan directed film, of this I am fully aware of, but he did write the script for it, which means that the scenes were in the script, including the atrocious religious connections and nationalism. It is hard to conceive that a super of a man from another galaxy, much more intelligent than us humans, is incapable of morally making better decisions. You cannot tell Superman and Zod apart from this movie from a purely moral perspective, they both commit genocide, they both are selfish, they both have no quarrels with the end justifying the means. This is not a Superman of hope, this is a Superman of our worst nightmare, a morally and intellectually human level being of indestructible force that will now govern our planet according to US national standard and only listen to the teachings of priests. This is all from a script written by Nolan and that is something he can't be excused from no matter how hard you guys try to continue to label this as a Zack Snyder film. A director chooses how to show you the script, but he still has to adhere to the script. The movie could have been so much more, it could have shown us what is wrong with our current planet, our political mess, our inability to prioritize the important things we must all do, such as take care of the environment and remove our ancient and outdated ways of perceiving reality, but no, instead it picked the easy way out, it lowered itself to our standard of justice and our standard of how to deal with evil.
The best trilogy, best director, best acting, best supervillains, best actor for Batman, best actor for Ra's Al Ghul, best actor for The Joker, best actor for Bane, best storylines, best motivational dialogues, best superhero movies. In simpler words, it is a piece of art.
This trilogy simply is the best, people can find flaws in every movie, even Godfather, because in the end, movies are in the realm of fantasy, especially comic superhero movies, but here everything was great : all brilliant actors, script, director, music, camera work etc. I love Bale as Bat&Wayne to death. Bale gave multi -layered performance many comic purists don't get. Bale's Batman doesn’t just become a comic character - there's actually a man wearing that cape and cowl. He's a Batman fanboys felt they didn't deserve, but the one we never knew we needed. And I'm always welcome to something new. We don’t need more direct imitations of Miller’s Batman or Burton's Batman, we need filmmakers to create the same sense of freshness earlier Batman portrayals left on pop culture. We must build on what came before if we want these characters to survive, not retread to earlier forms of the characters in comics. And yes, I f love Bale's Bat crazy, animalistic voice. Joker kills Rachel which Bruce never gets over. Alfred burns Rachel's last words to save Bruce from more pain. In an attempt to save Bruce from confronting Bane, Alfred disarms him with the truth even if it means saving his life. Even tho he isn't mentioned in this film, you see how joker messed up the characters in this film. But he isn't the ONLY ONE who beat Batman in this trilogy. All the villains beat Batman in one way or another. Ra's broke Batman's will, Scarecrow broke his mind, Joker broke his spirit, Two-Face broke his hope, Bane broke his body, Talia broke his heart, hell even Catwoman broke his trust early on.... Joker didn't know Batman's identity. He didn't even plan to torment Bruce for years..... But the effects of his actions in the previous film TDK are felt in this one. By corrupting Dent, both Batman and Gordon had to stage a cover up - we see Gordon struggling to deal with this lie, praising the man who almost killed his child. The lie he told 8 years ago for the greater good is eating at him. Then there is Bruce - Joker may not have known his identity but he certainly deduced that Rachel meant something to Batman. Joker kills too many people to force Batman to remove his mask, and Dent boldly steps up to claim he's Batman. Rachel sees this on the news and is disappointed that Bruce did nothing to intervene and it's arguable this is what drives her to write the letter choosing Dent over Bruce. It is this same letter Alfred burns to spare Bruce more pain, thus leading to the bitter break-up between Bruce and Alfred here. This third movie is the aftermath of the Joker's actions and how the characters and city of Gotham are coping with it after 8 years. TDKR feeds off the relevance of its predecessors like any good third installment. 8 years of false peace covering a giant lie and watching that lie eat at Bruce, Gordon and the city. The lie that enabled The Dent Act to be passed, removing organized crime and as a result removing the need for a Batman. The rich and elite benefitting from the clean streets while the middle class and poor gap widens. The fact that Batman and Gordon had to lie proves to the League that Gotham is truly beyond hope and must be destroyed. And a lie that caused Bruce and Alfred to break up....
It's partly because we love these Nolan movies so much. This Batman was perfect for the trilogy, and unless the DCEU corrects their course, we will continue to say the Nolan series was the apex of DC cinema. Batfleck may be ripped from the comics, but I can't love his version of Batman if I don't love the films
tengog11 It's not really Affleck... They made Batman using guns and killing people what is awful. Affleck had nothing to do with that expect playing Batman.
Affleck is on the list that says 'never should have been considered for the role of The Dark Knight along with George Clooney and possibly Val Kilmer. Christian Bale is the Batman that DC deserves
Greatest trilogy ever, loved it when I was a kid and still love it to this day. These movies meant so much to me growing up and taught me so much about life and the world around me. These movies also made me a huge Batman fan.
My favorites trilogy by far. My favorite story. Nolan tells it so well. The script is an absolute masterpiece, alongside the acting. Probably this series is the one that made me FEEL the most.
this is definetly the best trilogy of its this generation. and it joins the list of the 5 greatest trilogies of alltime alongside the likes of star wars, lord of the rings, toy story, and the godfather trilogy
+dragonballz fan To be honest, I don't get the hype around Lord of The Rings, sure they're good and all but they're not up there with Star Wars and The Godfather Trilogies, they honestly feel really bloated and overly reliant on spectacle.
Me and some friends are thinking of doing a Batman all nighter. One night. 3 Nolan Batman films. Intermissions of the Arkham City and the Badman spoofs on College Humor. And now, this awesome trailer to get us started.
Goosebumps, watching this feels good. Definitely one of the best trilogies of all time. I think what made it so amazing is that its not just a bunch of cliched super hero films where everything is fine and the super hero puts the bad guy in jail and get back with his girlfriend. I think that it's really a big journey about a man's quest for meaning. It's why we love it so much, because we know that we are much like batman, a tiny boat floating in a giant ocean searching for an island.
Also that Nolan treated the material with respect. He focused on the characters above stupid action scenes, focused on the journey of Bruce Wayne and not 'just' Batman. Every film was not treated as a 'stepping stone' for spinoffs but as a SINGLE STORY. Every chapter is both self contained and yet world building in its own way. Something DC Films have been missing lately. Nolan knew what he was doing.
Bruce don't be afraid (last words of his father in the 1st movie) I'm not afraid... I'm angry (batman in the last movie)...... This trailer made me love this trilogy so much more
In my opinion, Christopher Nolan is in the top 3, if not best, director these days, and one of the greatest of all time. Interstellar, Inception, and The Dark Knight speak for this statement
"Come with me, save yourself. You don't owe these people anymore. You've given them EVERYTHING." "Not everything. Not yet." "It is a far far greater thing that I do than I have ever done. It is a far far greater rest that I go to than I have ever known." Damn it the feels. THE GREATEST FILM TRILOGY EVER.
a childhood of this Batman, I'll will never forget it I was 5 when Batman Begins came out 8 when the Dark Knight came out 12 when the Dark Knight Rises came out.
+John Moon Yeah.. Watchmen was such a bad movie, nope wait. That was a great one too!... Gren Lantern, Batman & Robin, Batman Forver, Superman 3 and 4, Supergirl. Those sucks yes. But how about Marvel, just to mention a few. The Wolverine movies (2 of them), the Ghost Rider Movies (2 of them), Amazing Spiderman 2, X-Men 3, The Punisher movies (2 of them), Iron Man 2 (personaly i hate the first Avenger movie, but I doesn't count it as bad since I know how well recieved it was) Marvel has a lot of more shit than DC -Why do people hate Man Of Steel? I thought it was great? Some flaws yeah, but the action was what I wanted to see in a Superman movie, plus good casting
***** Haha, calling Mos childish? Well, it ain't full of childish jokes like The Avengers. The second Avengers movie was okay actually, but the first sucked the big one. All the screen time was on that stupid plane. MoS at least gave us some action, which a superhero movie is supposed to have! Ohh I just forgot. Add The Fantastic Four movies to Marvels pile of crap. My point from the start was: Marvel has way more shitty movies than DC, and you (Marvel fanboy) said the otherwise.
This is literally the greatest trilogy of all time. I don’t think any films having consistently given me goosebumps every single time. These films are so impactful and truly send a powerful message. Learning to fall and pick yourself back up and rise is probably the greatest message any film could teach you. It applies to so many aspects in life. This is probably one of the greatest edits I’ve ever seen of this trilogy. Incredible job to whoever did this. Wow… BB 9.5/10 TDK 9.8/10 TDKR 9/10
People who compare The Dark Knight trilogy and Batman V Superman are dumb In one Batman's the main character and in the other he's just there to fight Superman JUST WAIT FOR BEN AFLECK'S SOLO BATMAN MOVIE
That's not why I think people should compare them. Nolan's trilogy is more of a universe where batman could exist in our real world today. It's more of a realistic batman where he fights a realistic Joker and Bane and everything is much more realistic. Which is a cool way to look at the trilogy. Batman v superman is more to comics. They both are good in their own way
Simply the best Superhero trilogy of films I've ever seen. Amazing acting by Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy. Sublime!
It really saddens me when DC fans fight with each other. But, it totally blows off my mind when Batman fans fight with each other. Why do you all have to compare Nolan's Batman, Burton's Batman and upcoming Snyder/Affleck/Terrio's Batman? Alright, you can compare them with each other, but why do you have to hate them to prove your point? Aren't you all fan of Batman character? Then, why hate different representations of him? Schumacher's representation is an exception, he made an unforgivable crime. IMO, The Dark Knight is easily the best superhero movie ever made (TDK trilogy is the best superhero trilogy & one of the best trilogies ever). It will be very hard to top for anyone, but I do wish to see another Batman movie or a DC movie to top that and another one tops that and so on. As you can see, I'm big fan of TDK trilogy, and I absolutely love Nolan. But, I'm also very excited for BvS and I can hardly wait for it and for Suicide Squad. I know some people may have problem with Snyder, but do remember he's surrounded by guys like Terrio and Affleck instead of Goyer this time around. MOS isn't one of the best movies I have ever seen, but it was still pretty enjoyable, although I liked charismatic Superman 1978 more. Watchmen is one of the best CB movies in my opinion, so Snyder deserves our support, and let's hope for the best.
***** I liked Affleck's performance, too. But, I wish Batman was slightly less brutal in it. I mean, he didn't even hesitate to kill goons. I liked the intensity and aggression, though.
This is what we get when someone is so passionate about what he loves,It is shown in his work and that someone is Christopher Edward Nolan the man who brought The Dark Knight Legend to life.Thank you Christopher Nolan and everyone who was worthy to work beside you.
When I look at this trailer, I just wanna cry. Nolan brought some of the most epic and memorable DC movies ever made. Together with Donner's Superman and Burton's Batman, they defined what DC movies should be. Right now, I feel everything is flushing down the toilet with this new DCEU. DCEU is being compare to garbage franchise like Transformers, Twilight or Pirates of the Caribbean. Just look at all the negative reviews lately. From MOS, BvS and now unfortunaetly Suicide Squad.
Yup. Nolan treated the source material with so much respect whilst doing his 'own' thing. Brilliantly done. Watching Bruce train with Ra's, seeing Bruce 'become' batman is so well done in 'Begins'. The scenes with Joker and Batman from 'the Dark Knight' will probably go down in film history. Same to be said for Batman vs Bane, watching our hero be broken with a completely empty score. No soundtrack for the fight, no shaky cam, no 'clever' cuts, just the sheer weight of watching Batman lose. Watching the journey of Bruce Wayne throughout all three films, watching let go at the end. Great films.
Yep as a trilogy is one of the few great ones, Part three (still good) is my least favorite but it has grown on me with more viewings. That said this Batman series of films had a true beginning, middle, and end, which hadn't really been seen with superhero films up to that point, even now really. Today everything is stretched out as sequel/spinoff bait, or ends because the series gets lousy to the point of doing bad business. I haven't outright hated the DCU films, but I haven't been blown away in any sense either, and it's a shame given the great DC characters there are to play with, wasted by rushed productions/crappy unfocused screenplays. Regardless I'm happy I at least got these Batman films with a director who had a vision of where to take these characters with the world established in these films. Some people didn't like this take on Batman, as it strayed too far form the comic book world/feel, but that never really mattered to me, it's a film adaptation, not the literal comics where they're numerous iterations, done by many different writers to mine from. The shared universe is all the rage now for better or worse, so I feel standalone films like TDK trilogy are a thing of the past sadly.
Not to mention how The Dark Knight Trilogy was able to adapt so many good storylines into Nolan's realism. Batman Begins pays so much respect to Year One its uncanny, as well as how well The Long Halloween and themes of The Killing Joke were adapted into The Dark Knight. Bane breaking Batman's back is one of my favorite references to the comics in superhero movies in general, so happy Nolan was able to deliver these to us as well as the cast.
Say what you want, MOS was good and Wonder Woman looks really promising. Haven't seen Suicide Squad yet, but I really don't like BvS. That said, who knows, it could get better.
Ken G Ledger didn't commit suicide; the overdose was accidental. I like to look at the third one as a combination of the two evils presented in the previous films. Batman Begins shows the evil of those who wish to destroy those of further evil. The Dark Knight shows the evil of those who are just plain evil. But The Dark Knight Rises takes the minions of those from the second and places them under the leaders of the first, making it a fitting conclusion. DKR only suffers a bit because of the lack of screentime for Batman and, unfortunately, the Aurora shooting.
1. Batman Begins was the best for me. Stayed faithful to the comic books and the origin portrayal was a masterpiece. Classic "Batman" movie! 2. Heath Ledger stole the show in The Dark Knight but great storytelling nonetheless. One of the best crime dramas ever. 3. Underrated Nolan movie whose only problem was being the sequel to The Dark Knight.
I think Batman Begins is the only one that actually feels like Batman movie. Although I haven't read the comic myself, one of my friends feels the same way as you do, so I can completely understand that. To me, the second stands out the most, by quite a lot. The moral conflict in the Dark Knight moved me so profoundly.
I will never forget this trilogy such a great job from Nolan and Bale not like any other superhero movie such as spider man and super man this movie made me believe In myself made me think that i'm gonna devote my self to any thing I wan't thats why I like the The Dark Knight Trilogy
7/18/2018- The Dark Knight is officially Ten years old!!!!! Happy 10th Dark Knight and thank you Christopher Nolan, Legendary, Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and the rest of the cast. But most of all, thank you Heath Ledger for playing a timeless villain and the role of the lifetime. RIP Heath Ledger!!!!
I love this version of Batman. I enjoyed the writing so much. It was deep and moving and made you think about human nature - something we can't escape or change. The soundtrack is also a masterpiece. Hans Zimmer is a gift to the world of music and no one will do it like him.
I legit don’t know where I would I be in life without this trilogy... I was going through a major life change, and seeing The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX about 12 times helped a lot ahah. Long live this trilogy above all others!
Best superhero trilogy of all time and one of the best overall trilogies. My top superhero trilogies: 1. Dark Knight Trilogy 2. Spider-Man trilogy Anymore superhero trilogies that are actually good? Once Cap 3 comes around I'll count it cause iron man is just bad
+Jack Clarke Spider-man trilogy? Spiderman 3 was a terrible movie though the first 2 films are great but the 3rd movie made it lose it's potential for being a perfect trilogy
The Dark Knight Trilogy is the best superhero trilogy, and one of the best movie trilogy’s of all time. Thank you Christopher Nolan for this masterpiece❤️
Not really dude hate to burst your bubble but it took a whole team of Heroes to get noticed while a single Hero of DC trumped Marvel's Avengers, especially considering The Dark Knight has won 2 academy awards and yet not one single Marvel Film has DC 2- 0 Marvel. End of story. 😉
Ashley Otu Um did you read my comment. I just said the Nolan movies are better than Marvel. The Dark Knight won 2 Oscars 1 for sound 2 for Heath Ledger. So yeah, you just proved my comment even more. Other than the Nolan trilogy though Marvel is winning. Remember, Man of Steel lost to a bunch of Unknown Superheroes The Guardians of the Galaxy maybe not in your opinion but they did so box office & critically wise(rotten tomatoes, metacritic, imdb, and etc...).
