Advice from me who plays the game for 2 years now : Just play the game and never go into the community it's a weird place with toxic people and weirdos Edit: There's also the wholesome part of the community getting totally hidden (like amazing arts, cosplayers....) by the toxic part so please don't stop by seeing 2 or 3 weird posts because there are awesome artists out there. And it can be applied to all of the games of course
God Genshin 1.0 was such a wild time, I still remember auto attacking the wolf boss with Physical Jean with 3 of the bois during quarantine after Zoom classes.
True, if you're willing to enter a relationship with a non existent person who has set dialogue, then maybe it's for the best you're not in an actual relationship.
25 minute wholesome video and people focus on the weird hutao bit that could've as well been created by a non-player. 80% of the fanbase are just casual people who dgaf about weirdos. It's a large community, it's fucking unavoidable that there are going to be weirdos, what's the big deal
I think every community has their own sets of toxic and weird people. Genshin is just a bigger community and have a bigger circle of those toxic & weird people which make them more visible and gives the illusion that they represent the community since people see a lot of them. Also in reality , theres likely more nice people. They just dont spend their time mostly online and so a lot of people dont notice and consider them as part of the community.
It's also interesting that only 1% of people that are realizing this syits especially for r34 parts. It's like all animes have r34 but they only say genshin players are p3d0
@@youravghuman5231 I feel it's pretty weird how some people instantly think about pdfilia whenever they see any child just existing, that says more about them.
@@youravghuman5231 But that's the point. People don't comment on that about Anime, but you would be surprised to find that if you ask most people why they don't watch anime, the two reasons are usually language barrier or over-sexualisation. It needs to be said more about anime, because kids in those shows are over-sexualised, and it's wrong. However, those who accept it either ignore it or partake in it from what I've found. But just because most ignore it, doesn't mean that those who partake in it should be vindicated.
@@rep-vile To be honest, it says more about this day and age where it happens far too often too ignore. To protect real children, it should be your first moral instinct to call out where a game or community normalises things about kids that could lead to those type of crimes.
There are freaks and weirdos in every community, genshin has tens of millions of fans so that's a big pool of people for potential weirdos to be nested in right?
@@FruitOnHead It's not fixed on characters that much (the main part is the story itself). They don't push you to pull any characters: no ads in the game, etc. You can literally close the content with the basic ones, and if you don't go to the banners intentionally, you don't see them anywhere in the game.
@@FruitOnHead They pull you in by making them good characters. All the Genshin characters are unique and great in their own way, that's why people want them. You don't play the game and it shows. Hoyoverse is a good company because even though you play their games, they don't actively funnel you into the gacha system. Sure, if you want the characters, you need to do the gacha but you can complete the whole game without even doing 1 gacha pull. You don't know that because you have your own sick little idea of what Genshin is and having wrong opinions on it when you know nothing about it.
@@FruitOnHead the thing about actual degenerates is they will find a way to make whatever they are interested in fully degenerate in some way shape or form, be it sexual or violent or creepy and gross, iv been on the internet a while, degenerates come in every flavour, and when there's more interest and more people there are just more degenerates to pick from
@@FruitOnHeadBecause all the characters have something new to bring to the gameplay and they are likeable. But. We can always get Rerun even if we don't get them during current banner so it's not big deal and we can get 5 Star character by not paying. Only saving for primogems until a desired one come out. You can spend 0 amount of money playing this game and that's a fact
I remember paying resin for event rewards, it kinda sucked but i recall the events lasting much longer and the rewards were actually a lot more then we get today. i think i remember the un reconciled stars event when we got free Fischl the first time you'd also be able to get like 200+ enhancement ores and like 100+ heroes wit, compared to nowadays you'll get maybe 20 or 30 hero's wit from a big event.
Honestly I treat genshin as a story focused game- It's actually so much easier to enjoy the game when you're not worried about the banners and what not. It's Genuinely such a fun game if I ignore certain parts of the community.
@@Tracker947 That's because some people really don't take the time to actually enjoy and listen to the story. There's a lot of hidden lore. In the items and stuff you collect. It really just comes down to how invested you are in the story and how much you actually pay attention. Again, it's not for everyone so I can't speak for everyone yk-
In any community there will always be weird and toxic people. You just have to learn how to ignore that side of any community. Some are more worse than others obv.
Genshin's an alright game, it just has an atrocious community. What's even better is that if you posted something like this on the Hoyoverse site for fanstuff, the people who look at that shit on the reg would start foaming at the mouth. On the one hand you've got things like the video at the start, on the other hand you've got people who are so allergic to any kind of fanservice whatsoever, if you post something where a Genshin girl is showing the barest hint of thigh, they post shit like "touch grass" or those anti-horny memes. They're unironically bigger freaks than the people who jerk off to Hutao asking for a goodbye kiss.
these people from hu tao video comments need help. I am playing genshin for 1,5 years now because the combat is good. these people play genshin because they do not want their life
Id just say the people are like that with a lot of things not just genshin, if you want to play the game you'd play it for the game, not for what people think about the game
01:33 it's not a poem its the lyrics to bury the light from the video game Devil may Cry History : There are "status" videos in which the viewer would be shown typically cringy or sexual content and right where the part begins a character interrupts it, the "status men" are vergil from dmc, jetstream sam from mgr, and alot more. (P.S sry if engrish bad)
1:30 Asmongold. You have committed the gravest sin a gamer can commit. You failed to recognize vergil's theme. How dare you mistake that legendary piece of music for a poem about a genshin character?
I've been playing genshin since day 1,except for Farming, I've never ever encountered any creep. I think it's mostly in NA servers. I'm in asia so it's quite clear here where i play.
Europe servers are fine too, never saw any weird people in co-op. Many complain that a lot of people there speak Russian but I'm fine cause I know Russian. Otherwise it's mostly quite helpful and wholesome individuals
Hu tao giving me the most stressful moments in my life watching my sister's hutao's hp trying to decide if shes going to be angry if i put down my jellyfish now.
Holy fk i remember the chest respawn conspiracy. Wild it took so long for the community to come to a conclusion on whether or not they respawned. (They literally dont)
Welp, feels like communities My Hero Academia community had fellows from Genshin, and oof...as worse as Twitters' or something My advice: just play and/or watch our IPs/franchises of any forms as well as be careful of whose community in the 1st place
I can't believe the time of pre-upskirt censor wasn't mentioned. There was a large span of time where players/streamers just looked up characters dresses/skirts or looked at their asses, even going so far as to edit their game files to remove the censor after it's initial introduction, up to like ver 1.1 maybe.
@@MiraPloy I'd be glad if he enjoyed it. But I feel like he's too deep into memes and tectone's influence. He stated multiple times he's not gonna take it seriously
@@Jev_the_fluorescent_shrimp He took ToF and Honkai Star Rail seriously. Obviously not as seriously as zepla but that's a level of passion you can't expect from most males.
This is a real deep nostalgia trip for me when Genshin got released... I left right after the Crucible Elements event, right when 1.3 came out I think, just got hit with a sad reality that the game wasn't going to improve and that was going to be it for me with the enjoyment of this game without spending big chunks of money into it.
Ive been playing since launch, and honestly ive only interacted with the community when it comes to music discussions and meta discussions. Ive never went out of my way to find other people in the internet who also finds the character that I liked cute, because I know how abysmal that is going to be.
Tectone is cool, only genshin white knights dislike him. He's the only one who dosen't bootlick hoyo and isn't a sellout like 95%+ of the genshin youtubers
@@IDKbruh420 no one likes him lmao He was driven out of three different game communities because his takes on games are just hilarious ramblings of a toxic mf
I played during the time but I haven't in a few years, my only issue with the game was the gatcha. Once you realize that, it's no fun. - Unless ofcourse you enjoy shit like that.
Actually, lots of gacha games in the last years have way more focus in gameplay that you can play everything even without touching the gacha part. If you like the jrpg level of story, like exploration like botw, and like action rpg, you probably will like genshin.
As a delivery guy for both food and supplies i enjoyed the hell out of covid lockdowns Absolutely empty cities with absolutely no traffic and special immunity to the curfews because of the nature of my job. And out of job? No one wants anything, no one tries to drag me out anywhere. Bliss I didn't give a damn i had high risk of infection, it was hella fun.
Anyone remember the event where you had to deliver food to people, and just dipping your toe into a half inch deep puddle would completely ruin the food?
