This is all correct. I didn't know Kurt personally, but we had co-mutual friends, and co-mutual heroine dealers, and I was told by a mutual dealer that he would periodically contact him before recording sessions, needing dope mid session, just to finish recording. Kurt occasionally had to cancel shows, due to throat issues. At one point a european ENT doctor actually "ordered" he cancel several shows, and follow the cancelations with "proper vocal training" so he could perform without further damaging his esophagus. Kurt, from what I learned through social hearsay, was most likely suffering from undiagnosed Crohn's Disease, as it was only just becoming known about, in his time. Kurt was a genius, and as we were closely socially related, I took an extreme interest upon his death. I have studied every report, every document, and all of the forensics surrounding his death, for nearly 30 years, and KURT COBAIN DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE!!! He died of an accidental heroine overdose, from heroine provided by the private investigators Courtney Love hired to find him. When he overdosed, for fear of prosecution, the private investigators recovered a rifle they had seen through the downstairs garage window, and staged the suicide. I won't try to convince you. Do the research yourself, you'll come to the same conclusion...

Buzz Osborne, one of Kurt's closest friends said that he lied about even having an stomach disease and that he did it to justify his heroin addiction and to cause simpathy to others...Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

As someone who’s always been lucky to be very healthy and comfortable, it’s insane the levels of pain, discomfort, and sickness people come to live with and endure as an inescapable part of who they are. I can’t imagine being in pain or discomfort every day and just having to live with it, knowing it’s likely never going to get better.

Yes, the stomach problems he suffers from, I have them as well. It is something you get when you are so hyper focused on your music that your heart is pounding, you don’t eat, the cortisol rush kills your stomach. After months and years it will destroy you. I remember reading a long time ago he had ulcers. I'm unsure if he ever followed up with a doctor, tho. Back then there weren't medications for GERD. My father would chew 10 Tums at a time every few hours and drink a gallon of milk a day before Zantec came out. His started when he was 30. Then mine started when I was 30. I have GERD, Erosive Esophagitis, and ulcers. I believe it's the same issue Kurt had.... 😢😢😢

Umm in 94 especially that last show he had bronchitis 😂 of course he may of coughed or even sounded different lol bc in 94 started in January and by mid February he was sick with bronchitis and his last show was like early March if I remember correctly bc it’s been so long.. Kurt always had a unique singing voice and it’s what helped him with his style of guitar playing 👍🏻 he had that rasp and growl and could scream like a king of grunge that he was.. 94 you can’t say much for his voice lol he was sick I mean he sounded like a million dollars for unplugged in late 93 sooooo yeah

Thanks for this. Clarifies a lot in the fact that he was damaging himself yet people ironically claim he's an icon and legend for his sound. Abuse is not good especially when it comes from yourself. It's not something to be worshipped or idolized. He never should've turned to drugs for an easy solutions and if he decided to stick with it within a reasonable time he may have received the help he sought due to the fact many people are experiencing things that are now identitied as crohn's diseases, autoimmune diseases, and so on. Also, drugs just make it worse and temporarily numbs the pain so he was only suppressing the symptoms while also creating an addiction that ultimately got him killed. He should be respected and honored as any one who passed, but not worshipped when his better traits were overall toxic for the human body and soul.

I was givin perks n prednisone at age 12 to help the pain n loss of appetite n inflamation n cramping n 13 plus times bthrm n bleedin internally n puking acid n foam n the insomnia. This IS NO way to live life. Its torture. I grew addicted n then switched to heroin like kurt. Never od'd n only used lil bits to function n work. Ive been clean for long long time now got my life back. Well now crohns n new found colitis is breaking me again. N i would rather go thru dope sickness for 2 plus weeks then to go thru thru crohns n colitis issues any day of the weak. Reason for sharing is cuz i started listening to kurt at age 11 or 12. Im 38 now. I understand the torture n the stress induced chronic illness that has no solution. Only meds that can mask the torture temporarily

Kurt Cobain is one of those topics I hate talking about because he's a special person. He's not someone I hold on a pedestal but he's still an idol which makes it personal. Which is my problem, I'm aware of it. I don't think we can even try to speak for nor even speculate on what he would be doing. He was such a unique musician that we really have no idea what would've been next for him, he was speaking about doing a collaboration after Nirvana, I doubt hed ever have stopped singing but as I've stated how would I know anything? A bunch of exaggerated bullshit. His voice sounded fine but for the last gig when the dude literally had flu/bronchitis. By end of August/early September 93 he was saying he felt better than ever. In interviews no less. He talked about having I.B.S. and how the root cause is psychosomatic and had little if nothing to do with his voice. The pinched nerve in his back caused by scoliosis which helped cause the raw spot in his stomach had been diagnosed and treated and he was also given Prilosec to help with any stomach issues and it worked wonders for him as it does for many people today. Which today it's been widely long available but it 1993 was a new medication. It really is sad and scary reading stories about Kurt, watching videos like this and reading the comments. It illustrates that Buzz Osbourne is SO right about Kurt; People _WANT_ to believe in and see him as this helpless, unstoppably suicidal, doomed no matter what, powerless, hapless and physically wretched being. It's what they're being fed and they like the taste. Poor dude. Not only was his life taken from him. So was his tremendous truth, power, history and legacy. Now he's kUrT cObAin, patron saint of helpless, doomed, misanthropic cucks. He wasn't helpless. It's funny how the people who never did drugs with him make him out to be this legendary heroin machine but the close friends who did use with him say that really wasn't the case. Everyone on tour with him in late 93 and winter 94 insist he was clean. Drinking nothing but Evian water. Which is obvious to see in videos for anyone with eyes who isn't completely oblivious to what a person who's high looks like.

Singing like this, is excruciatingly painful. Had he lived to be an older man, he would not have been able to sing those notes past a certain age. for example, or Pantera, or any rock band from the 80s. I haven't read his autopsy, but as someone who can relate to the symptoms he had, I wonder if he had something similar to Barrett's syndrome. It's a condition where constant stomach acid and irritation to the esophagus causes damage that causes extreme pain, coughing and vomiting blood, and eventually esophageal cancer. It's usually found in patients with a hiatal hernia or other conditions and often goes undiagnosed until the patient gets an endoscopy.

Acid is a double edged sword, on some trips you'll be having deep insights on your life, unsupressing thoughts that you try to ignore, on other trips you'll be staring at a blanket for 5 hours 😂

As someone who’s taking lessons early on for singing, it’s very important to maintain your voice and find techniques that will work and not damage your voice. Warmups and cooldowns are extremely important. I understand why Cobain wouldn’t have any of that in hindsight because he was never really classically trained. Any singers out there who want to sing in this way please find ways to take care of your voice. Now that we have resources like RU-vid and the rest of the internet you don’t even really need to hire a trainer if you can’t do that. Stay safe guys

At the time i heard about his stomach problems i couldt really relate but now at 19 years old my stomach bothers me all day and ive lost an immense amount of weight because of it. He had an incredible vocal register compared to most, and he sang with his stomach to increase his vocal fry. It sounded incredible, but unfortunately that accompanied with years of heroin and smoking stopped his body from properly healing, leading to the rasp he had shortly before his death. There are no musicians I know of that were so committed to music that they gave up their health. He was a true visionary, and had a style unique to him.

Before Janis Joplin passed away, while at school, I heard a rumor that she was told by her doctor that she wouldn't be able to continue to keep singing the way she did. She was having vocal damage... Later, she did pass away.

The stomach pain was just an excuse he used to justify his addiction. I’ve heard many addicts say the same thing about their bad knee or back or whatever.

His style of singing was definitely a major factor in this vocal damage. He had a rough vocal fry (fry is the sound an airline captain talks in, "this is your captain speaking.."). He also screamed in a very screechy style, and sometimes just yelled until his voice gave out. I've been singing in these kinds of styles a lot over the years, and there's always a point where I need to stop because my voice is giving out.

I have cyclic vomiting disorder the first time I shot up heroin I was debilitated with a cyclic vomiting episode that at the time I had no idea what it was I went to the hospital with no fluids in my system, horrific non-stop vomiting and nausea excruciating stomach pain along with chills and every symptom you would get with the stomach flu. The hospital told me that they did all they could do for me which they hadn't even gave me an IV for fluids I begged them as best as I could to listen that something was wrong. The nurse told me to leave or they would have the police escort me I told her I had nowhere to go as my parents were at work till 4:30, she told me to walk home this was in the middle of February in winter in Wisconsin. Again during why I was having a cyclic vomiting episode I was in so much pain I was so sick can I call the only people I knew who wouls give me a ride for cheap, i was shot up with heroin for the first time that day which instantly made all my symptoms go away as it was my first time using. Being sick really sick is absolute hell. Im 6 years sober now. This happened at wheaton fransiscon hospital in franklin, wi in the us.
