I first watched the blue cat blues episode when I was 5 I think, and it seriously freaked me out. It wasn’t a good age to watch it because I thought about the meaning incessantly all the while not understanding it at all. On a different note, great video as always man, I can’t believe you still haven’t got proper recognition on this site

Uff watching that episode at that age was probably both confusing and frightening at the same time 😅 If you've not yet watched it, I made an entire video on that one episode a few months back. It's definitely an episode that deserves a lot of attention. A thanks a lot! I try to not obsess about it but it's starting to become hilariously sad how the algorithm just doesn't care about this channel 😂😭 But either way, I'm enjoying the journey itself & that's one of the most important things imo 🙏🏽🙏🏽

The first lesson might make someone question living or paranoid of the people they care about.
@TVkingOmega

Unfortunately that’s just how life works. Especially when family is added to the equation. Self-worth and being loved for being you is nice, but you also need to contribute to help those you care about so they can care better for you. You can’t just turn into a sitcom marriage where you’re this fat, lazy, bald guy watching tv while the wife does everything.

@Notquazz Agreed, which is why it's one of the darkest lessons of the show..

@@TheMeaningOfNerd But some people say we deserve to be loved unconditionally from birth,I gotta say that is at least not possible in this world.Who wants their children to become lazy,fat dudes who do nothing but watch TV in a world where being a good person isn't enough.And how are you a good person when u never tried to be able to help someone? Dark?Harsh? Yes,Yes it is a harsh truth.

Well, turns out "Tom & Jerry" was more than just a slapsticky cartoon and actually treated both kids and adults with intelligence + respect! A common criticism with kids media today (and this is coming from a young aunt!). But that's a topic for another day. Anyway... This got me thinking about what a certain comedian once said on his show: "love isn't a feeling, it's a sacrifice you make everyday (...)". Well, true, but it's only half the truth. The sacrifice has to be MUTUAL in order to call it love, yet alone 'unconditional' love. Sorry, you're not on some sort of pedestal, haha, you gotta play a part, too. 😆 Great video as always, mate, keep it up. Good night.

I really like that quote about love being a daily sacrifice, gets me thinking 🤔 & Yeah kids media is becoming generic & plastic-like, I agree. There are some exceptions but that's all they are, exceptions. I'm glad you liked the video, have a good night too 💪🏽💤

The attachament hurts, not love:) but yeah. Love is the Stronggest force, but the depression and obsesions come from the attachament
@TheMeaningOfNerd
@TheMeaningOfNerd 2 года назад
I get your point, though I disagree slightly. I don't think attachment alone hurts. I can feel attached to various things & people but if I'm morally & emotionally strong, I can lose that attachment without feeling like dying. It's only when love is brought into the mix that that occurs in my opinion. Attachment alone is universal, it's not that strong of a force. It's more like a necessity for human life, & therefore, humans get used to it in some sense. Love though, that is very unique & special. It's irrational & immense & I think that bc of it, it can lead to an entire world of hurt. Now maybe we're both kinda wrong & right at the same time. Maybe it's more that: Once Love is coupled with attachment, losing that attachment & therefore the love that coupled it, then it will lead to hurt. It's like a chemical chain maybe?🤔 You are connected through attachment to Love & breaking that link is what will leave you feeling empty inside. Let me know what you think of this idea, & thx for the comment, it got me thinking 💪

@@TheMeaningOfNerd yeah, attachament it s to weak to do so much hurt, but also love cannot hurt. I think it s a mix of them. If you have a toxic attachament at the begining and after that you begin to love, that love will be a Dark love which turns into obsession and so on. But if you can drop the attachament, you will have just love which cannot hurts. So having love without attachemt is, what we can call, unconditional love. Thanks for your point! It help to write this comment

For me personally ur personality is what's most important. I believe what you are worth gets pushed around in a bad light. Who you are and ur worth don't go hand in hand. We all have strength and weaknesses. The real ones see you for who you are as a person no matter how high or low ur achievements are. I think people are to quick to judge others and don't take time to fully see them only for what they can provide just like you said. Great work and great video.

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it! & yeah agreed, who you are is above everything else, sadly, many people, especially younger people, have a hard time dealing with the judgement of others..

I hear lots of echos of Ayn Rand’s selfish love in this. Thank you for the philosophical deep dive!

You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Also, that concept of Ayn Rand's selfish love, what book is that from, do you know? I'm not that well-versed with her work but would like to get more familiar with it🙏

If it helps, I rarely ever consider most people my equal. So no matter if you're man or woman, I'll only keep you around until you become a liability...or I get bored. Ironically, it makes me more egalitarian than a lot of people (as all get a fair chance to prove their convenience). They are equally replaceable too. If my value lies in utility, all I have to do is to compete my way up the ladder. That way, I can use leadership to benefit a lot of people beyond myself. It's a formula that's been tested and tried. And if I get depurposed, so be it. This body is only temporary anyway.
