I love the Darkstalkers series. As you said, the setting and the characters are super unique, and the mix of wacky humor and outright horror makes everything really fun, and the animations, the music and the gameplay are all top 90s Capcom. I hope they give the series another go. They have many great abandoned IPs, but I'm certain this would be one of the easiest ones to resurrect.
@@arcadenaut nah it's got rollback. but most people use fightcade. though even in saying that while fightcade have very full lobbies for the old SF games, KOF, jojo, marvel, Garou etc. while vsav has like 2 people looking for games. most people that cry out for vsav really just want chun li in a morrigan skin and with a darkstalkers title card. they don't really want dark stalkers unfortunatly.
Might be because of that, can't really find much people playing Vampire Savior on Fighting Collection, had a lot matches in Super Gem Fighter, Puzzle Fighter 2 and a bit Cyberbots.
@@arcadenautfighting collection has a good netcode but yea unfortunately a lot of fightcade players are kinda elitists about wanting to find matches on cfc and just mock people on discords intended to get matches
Awesome video and great overview of the characters, my favorite characters are Hsien Ko, Pyron and Felicia. Another thing I love is about the series is it’s take on horror monster tropes, if the series kept going I would’ve loved to see a new Goddess/Angel type character to round out all the darkness.
Glad you enjoyed it. Still considerind revisiting the series and making video about each game individually, might dig further into each and character more in those !
I never really enjoyed fighting games, I still don’t. But, as young child in the year 2000, I was enamored with the art style of the Capcom games I saw at the time. To me, Capcom in the 90s to 2000 has not been topped visually.
Jedah probably won't be included in the current games, and that's a shame. New Darkstalkers games are not on the table i guess and I think we have seen the jedah for the last time with Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. It saddens me to know that these well designed characters are completely gone. I hope for a small project like low budget a darkstalkers game just for the fans
