The good news is that men find their stride (i.e., financial success, confidence, and market value) in their mid to late 30's. I am very grateful to my brothers (on in the internet) who've generously shared their firsthand knowledge and experiences of women to educate myself and others. I've dodged more than one bullet in recent times.

Guy A and Guy B both approach a woman they like. They follow all the normal social cues, boundaries, not staring, etc. Guy A is an attractive guy. He asks a woman out. Yeah, which is why the video is saying that society needs to change. If a random guy walked up to me and asked me if I wanted to go on a date. I would want to make sure we have a place to meet, each others numbers, and his name. I'd definitely be a little suspicious but why not give it a try?

The biggest challenge I have with this statement is it takes away any accountability of the current problem from men. Otherwise, yeah, I would agree with you. But I would also say that men have also decided to take the easy route on a whole. The hookup issue isn't just women's fault, men also participate in it. Please don't think I'm just disagreeing with you, but I think there's just a deeper issue here. For example, it's not entirely fair to ask "what do women want?" when I bet you couldn't answer it either. And I don't mean the dating app answer, I mean the REAL answer. When you meet the right person, you just know, and likely they aren't going to fit into w/e mold you had in your head. And since ultimately I do agree with you to some extent, I do believe women need to accept that society isn't going to wait for them to take the wheel in dating, it's already driving it's own way. Women do need to get more comfortable with rejection, and stop saddling all of the dating responsibility onto men (that's a big part of this documentary). As for men, you can't just keep going your own way and blaming society for why you're unhappy. At some point, men have to take their licks now and get back into it regardless. Otherwise, I do believe the MGTOW movement, while strong in the ways of brotherhood, will mislead the next generation. I hope MGTOW will develop into a good force for change, but I don't think that's what it is right now.

@@jamesrosenbaum8770 I think you are refusing to see some facts. I expressed an interest in a woman. She sullied my name among co-students/friends. She could have just declined politely. Another supposedly better guy did the same and she accepted easily and they were the talk of the town. There are countless men like me who are punished just for even daring to express interest. This adverse behaviour of females is what is causing the current dearth of real intimacy. Females are more at fault than men. Only a small % of men have decided to take the easy route but a large portion of women drive the hook up culture. Please acknowledge this point.

Yeah this was the line I had the most issue with. There are many reasons/rationalizations (depending on your persepective) for him to not shoot his shot even if he likes you.

@@YASUOMURAMASA Social Media has given a wider access to people than ever before. It's turned what used to be a local area dating pool and tethered every single one in existence together. It's easier thought of say a candy store. Why only stay in your area and try 50 different kind of candies when with the connection of social media there are 5000 candies to try. So the fear of missing out or settling with something less than what you wish for causes a lot of casual hook ups and avoiding the committed long term relationship.

I feel that sentiment. I'm 27 and it's weird how they make it sound so easy.

It's like that for people with a lot of 'options". If half of the hot women want to bang you, you just go directly to the action and are rewardef with confidence boost.

Keep in mind too that if you're referring to college, more women than men now attend (~60/40 respectively in some instances). Men most likely have the advantage since they are becoming a scarcity and just want to basically root. Not sure where the professor obtained the "men want relationships data" from as that doesn't appear to be the case in more recent times.

Yes. Similar to spring break trips or vacations where they are in a location that they can be somewhat familiar with like Padre or South Beach in Miami at best, but is still a location that they don't know anybody. Or at the worst is outside the country where you just can't dial 911 if something happens. But they can meet somebody at 8:00 pm and be banging him by midnight. Yet if back in their hometown where the process of dating is more convenient and should be easier to carry out, narratives suddenly get thrown around about how there's such a large amount of danger to dating that women are always in fear of. And that any of the dynamics to dating and forming relationships that seem to be breaking down or becoming dysfunction all falls on men's fault and women's roles shouldn't be scrutinized. And you see that this portion of the video, they pretty much stuck to women's point of view and had very few males give any input.

A lot of this seems like an old woman opening her eyes for the first time in decades and realizing that most of the changes women have been fighting for have turned out pretty badly.

Her whole thing is really disgusting. She repeats a lot of outright bad rhetoric. First off, she doesn't even understand why hookup culture exists. 90/10 rule has been proven by the hard numbers at this point. If 9 women are going after the same guy, their only option to get a call back is to give it up early. And on a college campus, that's going to snowball. But she has nothing to say about why hookup culture exists. The film notably only follows hyper attractive guys around. The women they find to follow range across the spectrum in the looks department. But the men are strictly 9s and 10s. Her assignment is literally impossible for overwhelming majority of the boys in her class. She's making it an assignment to torture the boys in her class. What a bizarre "professor", devoid of any ability to change her perspective or empathize with the students in her care. Let's talk about paying. We know none of the women paid for those dates. She has to know she's lying with that "you ask, you pay" line. Even if it's the assignment that girls ask, the boys all know the score -- they're paying. Why lie as a professor ? A copout for the cameras. Gross.

Dating applications do just that. If you want to get an idea of what's coming - look for a RU-vid documentary on left-over women (particular in Hong Kong). They have sites advertising men for hire. For example, women can hire a boyfriend. The boyfriend will charge by the hour; with extra fees for kissing, watching a movie, and even more for meeting the parents and playing a pretend role.

Her assignment makes it clear, she just wants women to take advantage. That assignment isn't even possible for most of the boys in her class... they could ask 100 women out and get rejected 100 times.

I've also heard a girl say one time, "He said he needed someone to try recipes on. I didn't think he liked me or anything." Facepalm. The sexes do not know how to communicate with one another.

There is no hurry to tie the knot when we have been blessed with "sexual liberation" Why settle for one. Not to mention that that one can legally walk off with half of any everything you've established and than more just because they're bored with the marriage. Just embrace this liberation reap the benefits. Have U noticed that it much much easier to get laid these days than it was 15 years ago (it wasn't hard back then) but now with women being more aggressive while continuing to still be indirect with communication the only thing U need to do is decode what she is hinting at which is them shooting their shot. This is the best time to be a bachelor with the media telling women to just "have fun" we don't have to do anything but wait our turn and have fun. To summarize my point the sexual liberation movement has worked in your favor. Just remember to protect yourself at all times, also it helps to have a gf or orbiter around U because women love competition

Why is it an obligation or a burden? The way I see it. It's a sense of pride for yourself. I want to treat this woman as a person and if she doesn't want the same things or if she isn't the right one than that's it. Why is it a burden to treat a person like a person or want to be seen as a person?

And see you think it's just a paper. It's a mental state, it's a lifestyle. It's not just some contract. It's a deep heartfelt connection between two people that is shared and lovingly experienced. You are taking the heart and soul out of what a marriage is.

So true. I think our economies are pretty much in for some serious turmoil. Life is going to get pretty hard. Not to mention that many companies have just discovered that they can pretty much hire anybody that can work from home with a computer. Competition (and competency) is going to be ramped up. Folks that are used to safe spaces and everybody is a winner are in for a rude awakening. Most of these young people have never faced real hardship in their lives (unless dropping their phones counts).
