The day we almost lost our daughter. This happened almost 2 years ago and we our just now sharing our story. We are not promised tomorrow. if your going through something like this please reach out and talk to someone do not let it tear your family import.

We just recently purchased 17 1/2 acres to start our new Homestead. We believe it's very important to teach our children how to work together as a team.
Teaching the kids how to be responsible on our small Urban Homestead.
We love to spend time together as family. We also believe it's very important to teach your kids how to do things at a young age.

Good girl Brailey. I was a swimming teacher for 16 years. Watching your daughter in the video tells me that someone has taught this baby something about swimming. If she hadn't been taught , she would not have survived. Watch how she keeps fighting and does get to the steps by herself. I wish someone like me could have talked you through this video. You have blamed yourselves all this time . She knew what to do. She never panicked. I hope I take some of your blame away. See if you can watch the video again and see it through my eyes.

When our son was 5 years old, we were at a state park that had a swimming lake. We were all at the picnic table I THOUGHT. I turned around and our son was gone. He had walked out in the lake and was in water above his head. I could see his arms waving in the air, and someone going to get him. I froze and could not move. I'll never forget this day; he is 46 years old now. Thank you for sharing this video. I also had a brother who was an alcoholic. Sadly, he never sought help and died from liver disease. You are truly a blessed family. God is great.

We near lost a nephew 6 years ago in OKC to drowning. He spent 2 days in hospital. It was close. A few more seconds in the water would have been a different outcome. It only takes a few seconds and can happen to anyone, anytime. Thanking God again.

I am thankful that when my daughter fell in trying to throw her duck floaty in the pool her brother was older. He jumped over the side of the pool faster than I could climb the ladder to try and get her. I am sorry that you all had to go through that. She is meant to do great things. God was with her.

I believe in signs, and that God has a way of sending signs, even in the form of YT videos, and songs, that we need to hear/see, just when we need to. Perhaps that is how The Smith's video about River came to appear, at just the right time for you to hear their story.

I can see how you must have felt watching this. God alone had this. It is good for you to share. Someone must need this. Someone feeling guilt or blaming someone. She is a gift from God. I just seen this video for the first time , it reminded me of our granddaughter she almost drowned when she was four , she fell in the pool and she didn’t know how to swim that she keep going under water and God told her what to do that ever time she came up to take a deep breath and her mommy was coming soon she keep doing what God told her to do and then her mom came out to tell her it was time for dinner and then she found her in the pool and jumped in to safe her . She told her mom what God told her to do . God is good.

It is devastating when we cannot control when our babies are facing life or death situations. Holding on to our Faith is what will carry us through. My son was working and ask a friend to take him to the Emergency Room, just being dropped off and going into a coma within minutes of arriving at the hospital.... He was in a coma for 5 weeks with his major organs shutting down.

Even though the video was difficult to watch it was also glorious to see! Your family is truly blessed! It’s wonderful seeing God is watching over your family! It’s easy to put blame on others but it’s easier to praise the Lord! I feel I witnessed a blessing! She’s a special little girl. Now I don’t think I’ll be so nervous watching you on patrol because I know God is watching over you!

Im so pleased she is ok. When I was in school and about 13, I went swimming for the first time in school and because I was scared to get into the water a teacher pushed me in it was really scarey, I used to make excuses to my Mum so she would write a letter to say I couldnt go swimming, Then she was talking to a nurse friend of the family who said that I shouldnt have gone swimming anyway not without earplugs as I had a perforated eardrum when I was 9, so after that I never had to go again, thank goodness. Praise God for Miracles! Many years ago, my little sister, who was about 18 months old, fell into our pool. My 6 year old sister screamed, then froze. My oldest sister, who was 10, heard her scream and went running outside. She saw my little sister floating face down and not moving. Penny, my oldest sister, scooped her out of the pool and went running into the house to give her to my mom. My little sister Heidi was crying by the time Penny gave her to my mom. After Penny told my mom what had happened, and my mom laid her on the bed to get her wet clothes off, Heidi threw up a lot of water. Her eyes rolled back in her head, her lips turned purple, and she stopped breathing. My mom, being a nurse aid, knew exactly what to do and was able to revive her. Praise God Heidi is still with us and has a granddaughter who is now about the same age Heidi was 60 plus years ago. Thank you for sharing such a traumatic event in your life. Hopefully, this will inspire others to know CPR and other urgently needed treatments that will save lives. My sister Penny ended up becoming an Emergency Room Register Nurse and retired after 31 years helping others in need of urgent care. God does have plans for our lives. We just need to have ears to hear and listen to that still small voice.

We had been with an Auntie getting looked after while my mother had taken my brother to the hospital. In that time my twin brother had been standing at a gate with my cousin. A person walking past opend the gate thinking it was where they lived. In the yard they entered a pool Micheal was 28 months old when he past away from drowning. I miss that part of me in my life my mum never forgave herself not being there.😢 Im so glad Braylee is with you thank you for sharing.❤

The Lord is with us always!!! I had a dream when my son was 4 that he was going to get hit by a car! I had to work that day and I begged my husband to not let him go up to the road At All that day!! That Very Day another little boy was hit by a car and it took 3 years for him to get back to normal!!! This is only 1 of Many times that God has shown his Love to my children and I!!!

God is good. We may not understand why but he is. My parents left me at a gas station when I was 13. I lived on the streets until I was 17. I cursed God for many years but I realize now that my abusive parents could have easily killed me but I lived through Hell to become a mom of four amazing kids. Hug your babies and love them.

Alot of people do not know about the dry drowning. It is scary. Anytime your children inhale alot of water you have to have them checked out. It can stay in their lungs and drown them later on. I am sorry you went thru this. But God was not taking her away from you guys accidents happen you guys can't blame yourself. God is with you thru this he will be there for those days you feel like blaming yourself.

Gosh as parents we do our best, and sometimes things happen. My kids grew up in CA as babies I took them to swim lessons as did Granger Smith. Two of my kids were in swim teams. So accident happen. Thank God it never happen to me, my kids are now grown.

My first Instinct was to wonder why your son or your other little girl didn't either scream, or run and get Mama, but now that you explain the numbness, and the age, I understand! Praise God her life was spared! I'm aware of Amber and Granger Smith's story with their Son River who was just an absolutely adorable little firecracker! When Amber took Maverick to the Survivor swim lessons for little babies where he had to go under water and learn to turn on his back and find his air, it was hard to watch Maverick go under, you couldn't help but sob but then he turned over and found his air, and you were just breathing a sigh of relief and gratitude! Granger said that Amber is very brave for taking Mavrick to those lessons, he said not only couldn't he go with Amber, he can't even watch the video's, and doesn't know if he ever will be able to, because watching Maverick go under remind's him so much of River going under! You're right though, life can change in an instant, so we always have to be thankful, and we always have to remember to tell the people in our lives that we love them! 💗🙏💗⚘😇

When I lost my daughter at 8 years old from a kidnapper she was taken along with another student. In 1987 we lost Annie and her friend Brenda from the bus stop. Hold them tight

This video popped up for me today and I'm trying to come up with words to say cuz it's so shocking. You do you do have one cute little redheaded angel on Earth and she is here for a huge purpose but we just don't know what it is yet. As far as her brother goes I cannot imagine what was in his little head you could tell he thought something was wrong but it's like he just couldn't figure out what it was. When you look at the video she's not very far from the ladder and probably look to him like she was trying to swim. I'll bet now he knows what drowning looks like and when to help somebody or go get help. This was a very important lesson for your son because he's probably going to use that knowledge later in life to save someone's life. I am so happy she is here with you still I'm sure this video taught a lot of people some very valuable lesson. God bless your family Brandon and Stephanie. I almost lost my youngest son when he was 2. A group of our friends and I were camping at a sand pit. His dad rowed across to speak to the owner and Josh wanted to go but we said he had to wait. I barely turned my back to pick up one of his toys and he just stepped in to the water and immediately dropped. I thank God every day for the man standing next to him that dove in to grab him. Thank you God!

Wow…I didn’t know you guys went through all that. Now I see why you considered getting rid of the swing last year after that accident. I think it’s good to share our experiences with others, because we never know what someone else is going through and how we maybe can help them. My five year old son and I both almost drowned in our pool years ago and when I was 12 I was with my 11 year old best girlfriend when she died in a bicycle accident. These are horrendous things to go through and we don’t understand why some are saved and others are not. TY for sharing your story…it helped me to understand you. My heart hurts for all of you. Unfortunately that vision will probably be with you for life because it was so close. It reminds us how fragile life is. We have an awesome God. God bless all of you. 5 WEEKS EARLY MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW DEVELOPED SEVERE COMPLICATIONS AND WE PRAYED AND PRAYED. MY WIFE TOLD ME SHE PRAYED TO HER DAD IN HEAVEN. WHEN I ASKED WHY SHE SAID HIS BIRTHDAY WAS COMING UP. THINGS GOT BETTER AND MOXLEE WAS BORN ON GREAT GRANDPA'S BIRTHDAY. EVERYBODY KEEP ASKING WHO WAS THE FIRST TO HOLD HIM. WE TOLD THEM GRANDPA LEE HAD HIM IN HIS ARMS UNTIL HE WAS SAFE ON HIS BIRTHDAY. GOD IN HEAVEN AND GRANDPA LEE PROTECTED HIM. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
