The day Herman's Hermits played for the Queen Mum 

What a show, I’m sitting here crying, wishing things were as respectful and innocent as back then.😢

I never realized before this video that Peter Noone had quite a range in his singing voice. This is the first time that I heard him sing with a deep voice. I listened to him and rest of his band in the 1960s. But, I shared my bedroom with my teenager sister and she liked The Beatles more. Peter Noone was extremely talented! Wow! I loved watching these videos. 😊

I hope the Queen Mother enjoyed this performance as much I did when I watched this video. I think Peter 'Herman' Noone has a great sense of fun as as being a great singer.

What a joy it has been to witness this young mans journey, so talented and jovial.

I had no idea they were so diverse. For me they were simply my favorite rock group and eye candy. I am quite impressed.

I got to meet Peter Noone when he toured in Houston in 2010. Great guy. He’s such a great performer.

Was well aware of the group growing up in the 1960s. Watching this for the first time it tells me they could perform live so hats off.

Love the group for its very hush and pleasant sound, now I'm getting older I prefer the calm of their attitudes more than I was younge.

What a special treat for the boys. I once heard Peter say he had no rhythm for dancing but I think he did quite well. It was so nice to see the lads in this venue. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting moment in their careers - Peter about to go solo, and his name pushed to the front, looking to the future. 'Lady Barbara' was the last hit with the whole band, though they often didn't appear on the records anyway. What a range of musical styles thrown in here...sadly of course, in the end he only had one solo hit with 'Oh You Pretty Thing', (as it was written on the label).

Amazing it's nearly 20 years since we lost them both. The queen Mother was magnificent, always cheerful and dignified.

I've been waiting for this to come out for so many years now, so many thanks for posting this on RU-vid 1st class. I have been a fan of Hermans Hermits ever since I heard their first record I'm into something good, and have stayed a fan ever since. Whilst the critics slatted them at every opportunity, they proved them all wrong, they even outsold the Beatles in the USA in 1965. No mean feat, considering the critics did not like them, so hopefully there are more film/video/TV clips out there, that can be shared in the same way, perhaps a copy of 'This is your life with peter Noone Plus they should be inducted into the rock'n roll hall of fame. They have sold over 80 million records surely that's a good enough reason . So once again many thanks for sharing this, steve vidler at Hermitno1

this was wonderful. I've been a fan of Herman's Hermits since the 60"s and have followed Peter Noone's career ever since. I've lot count of how many concerts I have attended and I still get so excited each and every time. My absolute #1 favorite song is still "Kind of Hush". thanks for posting this. Put a huge smile on my face.

Of course, they should have been announced as ''Herman's Hermits,'' NOT ''Peter Noone with Herman and the Hermits.''

A night at the theatre is great ,I've been many times and always got the best seats and I love it when the live band starts up ,I've now hit upon hard times at 72 and can't afford to go ,I do miss it

There's a kind of hush came out in January 1967, the same month I fell headlong for my first love. Peter Noone's greatest song the soundtrack for a mind-blowing experience!

I had never seen this side of Herman's hermits until today and I was listening to them non stop in the mid to late 60's. I never realized all of the talent they had beyond just playing their instruments. This was more like a musical theatrical show with dancing. I prefer the HH songs that were more bubble gum and happy but it was a new experience to see them like this.

When this performance was originally done, I was the same age as the little boy who was giving out the flowers.

Oh MY!!! What a production!! A right proper performance if I DO say! (Kind of miffed there was no "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter" inclusion...but oh well. If the Queen Mum was happy then that shall suffice.

I saw the HERMANS HERMITS STARRING PETER NOONE Nov 18 2023- and am impressed. The audience are die hard/ long term fans( like myself) going back to the mid 60s abd ironically I'm in my mid 60s! Thank You for the show and God Bless You

If I ever had any questions about why they broke up, I don't now. 3 minutes of the Hermitd as a band and ten of them as Peter Noone's backing dancers. At least Lek got a few nice licks in.
