I always freak out every time my CO/Smoke alarms have to be reinstalled because then it goes off: "Warning; Carbon Monoxide" and it gives me a heart attack
I know exactly what you went through. December 2020 I almost died due to CO intoxication due to chimney malfunction. Had my family and friends not intervened and called the emergency, I would have died. I urge everybody to buy and use CO detector. I had 960PPM in my heater room and CO went to the kitchen where I was. Lucky to be alive.
It honestly scares me so much, that if she hadn’t slept in Elise’s room.. she won’t be here rn. It’s really scary how this little detail made so much of a difference. I am so so so happy she is okay
Stacy Telle and how if she was in the apartment for just a little more she could have passed out and died. It’s just so crazy. I agree, god really does have a plan
This happened to me last year! I called my landlord first and he literally told me to unplug the detector because he didn't want to "get in trouble". Needless to say, after ending that phone call I called the fire department and they were at my apartment within 4 min and once measuring the co, they came out to let me know there were high levels detected in my apartment and the hallways. They put on special gear and went to the rest of the units doors to evacuate everyone until they could locate and stop the leak. Im really lucky I trusted my gut and called because if I listened to my landlord and went back to bed I wouldn't have woken up. The fire chief told me that if I was pregnant the levels of CO were high enough to cause a miscarriage.
Omg I honestly can't believe that your landlord would advise you to do this 😡!! I am so glad that your followed your gut and phoned the fire brigade ❤ just shows when you feel something isn't right it usually isn't.
I break down in very stressful situations and traumatising situations and sometimes I act quick so I wouldn't know what to do. First thing I would do was call the police grab everyone in the house and my pet (if I ever get one) and get out. Like literally. Get out. It's very scary to be living in situations like this. And at 3am! Idk what to say
If you did not die, you weren't meant to die. You were meant to be a hero and warn the police. And that is what you did. You were amazing. I respect you.
Wow I feel so bad for everyone who was hurt and the old lady. That’s crazy that you survived. I’m so sorry that this happened to you. I hope you feel better.❤️❤️
"When you see a piano at a party" is the happen chance video I came across that brought me to checking out this video. I don't know which video is the happen chance video for someone else, but definitely consider making more videos (you seem good at it) :p. The next video you make might be the one that gets this video another view! But seriously, thanks for the share, it was well spoken, and I agree: God needed you that day & through you, others were saved: 1) People were saved in that moment, the moment your story is about. 2) with almost a million views, he used you to save someone else through the awareness of a CO detector (whether that's happened already or it is to happen in the future), and 3) you helped solidify someone's faith by hearing your story (also whether that's happened already, or it's to happen [again] in the future). Praise God & God Bless!
Several months ago, I had my first case ever of vertigo. I couldn't figure out what was going on and why I kept losing my balance and getting really dizzy. I bought two brand new CO detectors just to be sure that it wasn't that -j I couldn't remember when my current detectors had been purchased. Plugged them in - both registered zero. Random case of vertigo and I've never figured out what caused it. I won't lie, CO scares me silly. I was so relieved that it wasn't what was going on and I am ever so glad that you are safe. You're right, it IS an important story to tell.
I personally dont believe in religion, but thank God He was looking out for you! This story had me tearing up throughout the video. You and Elise are a couple of my favorite RU-vidrs and so I couldnt imagine this platform without you two. I'm genuinely happy that you got out safely ❤
Hey I've watched you and Elise for about 3 years and I would've been devastated if you elise or sunshine where harmed and I'm so grateful for the videos that you make for us and just remember we are here for you.
When you were talking about the details all connecting all I could think was "GOD IS GOOD"! (fellow Christian here) But this truly proves that God was looking out for you so glad you are still with us!
not everything is about religion, you're so quick to give credit to a man in the sky that you've never seen with your own eyes, than to the real life people who were helping the situations. stop.
_Aesthetic_ Queen_ Hey? You don’t have to say that. If you want to talk. Talk to someone please. If your joking I would recommend not doing there is some people with thoughts :) please be careful
@@IvyG-C I wasnt really joking, and I also dont need/want to talk to anyone. I just said my opinion or how should I say it. You can ignore my comment if want so
Eden: Pay attention to the specific details, it all comes together. Eden: Our dog sunshine is a golden retriever. Me: Pay attention to the specific details, it all comes together. I'm so sorry I had to
Shelby Hamilton that's what I'm like when I read lol. "PAY ATTENTION to the details...pay attention...remember this very random fact that is most likely useless, but remember..."
My mom lost her dad at a very young age to CO. I never met him but he was a great man. I’m so glad you got out. Thank you for saving so many people. Please stay safe and keep being the hero you are!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍🖤💗💕💖💝❣️💓💘💞💪🏻
Corgi Girl also I’m very sorry for the loss of your grandpa I haven’t lost mine but (idk why bu pt for some reason if you say something similar to someone else’s sentence it makes them feel better) but I Hecht even met my grandpa and I don’t know him
Any living space above a garage is extremely dangerous. My related family members almost all died because of car exhaust accumulating within their house. They never even left cars running for long periods of time either. Just starting their vehicles up to go to work. One of the family members saved the rest of the family by waking up.
You know i live above the garage at my house very reassuring also did this happen at like a single family home or apartment complex? Also thank god your family is okay ❤️
This story 100% made my heart jump. I can’t even imagine being in that kind of situation. Eden I am so happy you, sunshine, and all those people are okay!
Thank you for sharing your story. As an ER nurse and Nurse Anesthetist I often see the patients that have passed because of CO poisoning. I also believe that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was with you that night. You not only saved your life but the lives of the others there. I would like to include this information to the public. If anyone can not afford an CO detector please check with local fire departments they can provide free ones. We suggest that change the batteries when you change your clocks during "daylight savings" and "fall back"
If Elise wasn't out of town and you didn't sleep in her room you could be dead. Don't apologize for being dramatic when your not. So glad your safe and alive.
22:45 You truly are blessed, Eden. You saved so many people that day, and you made the best decisions you possibly could in that moment. I agree with you, and I think God does everything for a reason. Live every day as best as you can. Stay safe and take care ♥️
I grew up in a Christian family, but the past few years I have been having doubts on if God is actually real. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in God! You changed my life!
I dont think everyone needs to worry about carbon monoxide, like if u dont own a car and garage and that kind of stuff, if you live in an apartment building sure get one that's just my opinion :)
A few years ago, my mom was going crazy because of an irregular loud beeping. She just couldn't find were it came from. She said she would give €2 to the person who found out were it came from. I searched for about 10 minutes and found the CO detector in a drawer. The batteries were replaced and I got my €2. Luckily it hasn't made a sound other than to say the batteries should be replaced
I feel so relieved that you were alive and that you saved everyone in the apartment building. I feel really bad for that old lady that was found dead in her car. I have a feeling that this was the real reason why you and Elise moved out. Edit: thx for 200 likes
I'm also a Christian and I am so glad that it wasn't God's plan for you to go home yet. You are such an inspiration and you bring so much joy and laughter to your subscribers. I'm praying for you! ❤ Edit: Is it weird for a human being who is a male to use the heart emoji in the RU-vid comment section? I'm telling myself no, but I'm not fully convinced. 😂
This is a terrible tragedy. But it could’ve been worse, I’m glad it wasn’t. You could’ve died without underwear on, how embarrassing. okay, all jokes aside, I’m really glad you didn’t die. This is the first time I’m watching your channel, but I’m still happy nothing happened to you. Also I’m really sorry about the old lady.
I just asked my parents, if we have a CO detector. We used to have one but my parents got rid of it, bc they think, it's useless. But my grandmother has one and this detector SAVED HER LIFE! I didn't know that. Now, I'm gonna try, to convince my parents, to get one again. Bc it's so much better to be double safe than risk anything.
The 32 people who disliked this are heartless. Also wow, this story was so touching. I myself are not largely religious, but I believe everything is for a reason like you said, and the Lord has a plan for you. ❤️🙂
You’re a real hero Eden! So happy we’re living in a reality where you and all those people are alive! Thank you for sharing your story! ALSO HEEY YOU WERE ON THE NEWS 😱
Graeme Henderson As much as it’s cool to see our Eden on TV I hope the message she shared on this video doesn’t get lost because of that. Remember to look into Carbon Dioxide Detectors, cause it can literally save you and other people’s lives. Also, don’t forget to tell the people that matter to you that you love them, because you never know when your last day on earth is gonna be. I’m putting these links that have Eden’s interviews here, not so we can awe at the fact that Eden was on the news but to be reminded of the importance of the lessons she shared on this video! www.google.com/amp/s/ktul.com/amp/news/local/tfd-1-dead-after-carbon-monoxide-leak-at-apartment-complex www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox23.com/news/local/crews-investigate-carbon-monoxide-problem-south-tulsa-apartment-complex/ZRJTUHKXK5FABPC2IU5K33PX2Q/%3foutputType=amp
That poor old lady. I hate that people are making theories about how she might of died/are saying she did it on purpose when they don’t know anything.. I hope she died peacefully and painlessly. 💞😔
I hope so too. I know two different people years apart who chose the running car in the garage to commit suicide, and there was no doubt that's what they did. Thankfully, neither of them had an apartment above their garage where someone else would have been sleeping under normal circumstances. I hope that older lady mad a medical emergency and never realized she was in that running car.....The other thing is, that wasn't just carbon monoxide in the air, that was exhaust fumes, and those are deadly for other reasons. Eden is by no means lucky to be alive just because of the carbon monoxide detector. Her brain alerted her to the smell from the car exhaust too. Carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless. Car exhaust is neither. She really IS lucky to be alive. I believe in God, and God saved her. There is no doubt in my mind. I pray for the soul of that old lady, because it looks bad, since she didn't open the garage door back up after the car was running, and I don't think I've ever started my car in a closed garage. If she did it on purpose, she did not die an easy death. If you have ever had the misfortune to find someone who used a closed garage and turned on a vehicle to commit suicide, you will never get the visual out of your mind, or that horrible smell. I wish Eden had told us whether the lady had a sudden medical emergency that knocked her out or killed her before she could turn off the car. That information would help so much in this story.
To the people saying she died painlessly because of the gas. Keep in mind, she could have had a seizure, heart attack, etc. in her car which lead to her death and the car staying on. :(
I am so glad everything turned out okay for you, your family, sunshine and your other neighbours. RIP to the lady in the garage 💔. You saved so many lives and it just shows how important having the CO detectors are! I've got one but never really paid much attention but I will be keeping an eye on it from now on and making sure it is still working.
To quote The Blues Brothers "The Lord works in mysterious ways." A traumatic experience for sure, I've only ever seen these types of stories on the news never first hand. You may be humble but it is my belief that you were placed in that situation to be a hero. I pray you don't ever have a situation like that happen to you again.
I don't know why this hit me so heavily, but the old woman part just made me REALLY freaked out, scared, really sad, and.. I don't know, just really sad! Please tell me others can relate...
Happytan literally same, i think it may have been suicide because why else would she have gone and sat in the car running in the closed garage at night when she never usually does :/ makes me really sad
@@blesmol5091 the combustion process from the engine produces CO from the burning gasoline. Nothing to do with the muffler. The catalytic converter would convert some of the co to co2 maybe that's where the mix-up was.
WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DISLIKE THIS? SHE LEGIT SAVED SO MANY PEOPLE"S LIVES. If you don't believe the story, you can search up "CO apartment incident Tulsa" and she's on the news
It is SO refreshing to hear people still give God the glory for the blessings of saving their lives through the little things. God bless you sister in Christ!!!
@@Hey_Jamie sorry you feel that way. The end times are nigh my friend. My Lord Jesus Christ is coming to take his children and leave the non believers or those that believe but choose not to accept Him. 🙏
@@jinnijenny not threats, just facts. The world is becoming more and more morally corrupt & violent than it ever was before when it was said to be the end.

@@nilimabegum3653 he isnt real, Jesus might have been a person but who knows the only way people know hes real is because of storys passed down from person to person, beliefs that people share, so god isnt real, but he can be in your mind.
Wait so long story short... the old lady commited suicide ? Did they ever investigate what actually happened there ? Also im so glad youre all good and that you acted quickly and called the 911. Cudos to you !!
I've never gone through this but I can relate to one part. That part where everything seems fine but you know it isn't. That instinct is real and there for a reason. I had water damage to my appartment in April last year. No alarms, but a pipe burst in my kitchen ceiling at 2am on a Saturday. I heard noises. I live in a creaky old building where the neighbors sometimes stayed up late so nothing unusual. I walked into my kitchen to shut off the lights and go to bed and saw SO MUCH WATER comming from the light. I had headphones on so couldn't hear really well but the noise was the water falling onto my floor.
