The most expensive teams in the world, still until now. It helps to win titles when you have every best player in the world on your side. That’s why these two teams won the most titles lately. It also helps Messi and Ronaldo to look good, and to break records.
The magic of Ronaldinho is that he plays like the 7 year old kid we have all been , no matter how much his salary is, or how important a match is. Football is truly just a game to him. When he steps on the pitch, he is there to have fun and enjoy the game. The money and fame is just something that people give him.
Messi and ronaldo are different monsters and make you appreciate greatness, however players like ronaldinho lit up the pitch and made it seem like he’s the star of a show you don’t want to end
Ronaldinho was great too, with him barca won thier first UCL in 15 years !! and became more confident, and then Messi came just like a movie and exploded the whole game!
I love Ronaldinho but “best footballer”? Even in this game which is one of his best, he lost the ball so many times (even on arguably easy passes). Ronaldinho is great and fun to watch, but he’s too inconsistent to say he’s the best. I mean, just watch the first half of this video and think: would most people lose the ball in those situations? I think no. Compare him to R9 at his prime for example. He dribbled the entire opponent’s team and scored goals out of nowhere. You could pass the ball to him in any way and he would manage to control it, dribble defenders and shoot accurately. He didn’t lose the ball. I think that makes a big difference. Losing the ball can harm your team so much. Messi is also the same way. You rarely see Messi selling the ball.
The guy is just the most skilled player I ever seen, we have others that maybe where more decisive or made more goals, but this guy was just on other level, like one with the ball. Sad we will probably never see another guy like him, the game itself has changed so much that I can't see it happening again. I hope I am wrong and more guys like him start to rise again to make football not only a game, but a real show, like Ronaldinho used to do.
We already saw messi, he is more skilled than ronaldinho in my opinion. He is the fastest and the best dribbler of all time. The fact that he can dribble the ball with so much control over it while sprinting is mind blowing. He can control the ball so well that at full speed he can dribble 4-5 defenders without kicking the ball 3 meters in front of him, if you know what i mean. Ronaldinho was a great player, but he can't be compared to messi or ronaldo. This is just my opinion
@@soringabriel2699 let Me say, Ronaldinho was on a completely different level. You will never see Messi make an assist with is back or see Messi dribbling 3 defenders and hits the bar just for fun and for a challenge with himself. Ronaldinho could dribble and entire team without a run. Ronaldinho made all of this and against the best defenders of all time like Maldini, Nesta, cannavaro and so on. But the first difference that makes me choose Ronaldinho was the permanent smile on his face that changes a lot between them
@@bionicraw5614 Yes you are right, ronaldinho played for fun and he was the best entertainer in football history and yeah, i like the fact that he always smiled while playing football, but saying messi can't dribble past 3 defenders or more is a proof that you didn't watch him play during 2007-2021 (this season he was pretty bad). Why would messi hit the bar just fot fun when he can shoot a shot perfectly precise to the top corner, or why would he assist with his back if he doesn't need to. When ronaldinho chosed a more "full of tricks" style of play messi chose efficiency. I told it once, I can tell it again, messi is the best dribbler, goalscorer, barcelona player, argentina player, arguibly the best playmaker of all time. And I understand you prefer ronaldinho at the dribbling side of things, but nobody matches the speed that leo messi can dribble, bscause he uses those little touches while sprinting so precisely, that he can confortably control the ball and can get past 3,4,5,6,7 defenders, because he does those feints so fast that the defensers have no time to react. Messi also played against many worldclass or maybe all time great defenders like ramos, cannavaro, nesta, rio ferdinand, vidic, boateng (just look at his crazy goal against bayern from 2015 when he humilliated boateng), van dijk, chielini, bonucci, thiago silva and so many others... Anyway I respect your opinion!
@@soringabriel2699 thanks, i appreciate it, but remember the defender you are talking about are nothing compared to the ones I mentioned. You can mention only Nesta and cannavaro but they were at the end of their careers. Ronaldinho played against the best at their prime and he won against the mostly. I also consider messi the goat, but if we speak in terms of pure technique, ball control and skills R9 and Ronaldinho are in the top. That's for me obviously
@@bionicraw5614 100% with you. If you saw the messi documentary you see that ronaldinho its the first one to recognize that messi will be the best in the world. He said it when messi was 17. He made the assist for Messi's first goal. The diference is that ronaldinho played to entertain. Him and the people watching because he came from street football. Messi didn't. He didn't played to be the top scorer. He played the football that people wanted to see. Messi is straight to the point. Ronaldinho is more a roller-coaster type😂
Ronaldinho was the definition of pure magician and incredible skills, he redefined the way how to play football with a smile. Messi, Neymar & Cristiano Ronaldo are not even close to his skills and tactics. 🙂 No one couldn't touch him when he was on the ball. 🙂 One of the best player in the history ❤️ #A true King 👑 Ronaldinho Gaúcho ❤️
75% of the greatest national team ever was on that pitch and the amount of Brazilian, French, Argentinians, English, Cameroon, legends GOATS etc on this pitch .. wow All we needed was CR7 in it would have been the holy grail of games and ticket to have
I still have a Deco shirt from that game, was such a good game to be at with all the crazy good players on the field. Watching these masters going at work with what they do best, entertaining the fans
Ronaldinho gave Ramos a taste of his own medicine he dribbled past him, he injured him physically, he shot past him, he humiliated him I RESPECT BOTH OF THEM THOUGH LIVE LONG RONALDINHO
The talent concentration on the pitch is mind blowing: Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, Beckham, Iniesta, Etoo, Ramos, Messi, Zidane, Puyol, Roberto Carlos, Deco, Raul, Xavi, Casillas, Márquez, Robinho….
Even apponent supporters gives standing ovation to Ronaldinho..that is really magnificent..!! Ronaldinho is the only one everyone love him for is magical skills he has..... footballer like so call messi or Ron 7 they don't have any supporters from other club did standing ovation for them....no at all..!? But only for the great legend Ronaldinho the magician..has that !!!! World best of the best class player.. The
Ronaldinho in Barcelona had superior impact than Messi has ever had, Messi even learned from him on how to play as a team yet shine on his own right. That time Real Madrid was known as the Galacticos, a 5 star team, Barcelona literally leaned on Ronaldinho's shoulder
@@DankVader4 To each their own, Real Madrid during Ronladinho's time was called Galacticos for a reason, enjoyed his competitiveness a whole lot more than Messi.
Lionel messi Era was the downside of real Madrid. I find the match quite boring ever since after this Era. Full of comedians. I don't feel the excitement of El classico ever since.
...ah, but there are 4-time UCL winners everywhere, @Damon Ashley - ask Isco or Gareth Bale. Heck, there are even 5- and 6-time winners. UCLs are arguably a function of money. Now google Ballon d'Or winners - see the intersection? I think even you will be forced to agree that Ballon d'Or winners are special. Very special. Players (particularly defenders) do not get to win the Ballon d'Or simply because they are surrounded by ultra-expensive teammates or have bagged gazillion UCLs. It takes a bit more. Ask Cannavaro.😬
I love how his goal celebrations are modest and not completely over the top unlike some players. I also love the way he gives God the credit for every goal. Fantastic player!!
Some might think is about the amount of players he went by, but besides that is the way he goes forward almost not moving from straight lines and at such accuracy against some of the best defenders of the time , plus he does it twice in one game
6:08 to 6:15 would be 3 dives from any player today along with a rant at either the ref or a teammate. This man just smiles and reloads, what a legend.
Thing with Ronaldinho is he wasn't just a great footballer. He was magic, every time he got the ball you were glued to the tv wondering what he's going to do next!!
No phones, people just enjoying one of the best players ever edit: this is a postive comment, what the hell is happening in this world? Nowadays we can't comment? wtf
Don't mind the toxic people. They are just a new generation with phones stuck on his ass. Nowadays, mobile phones are more Intteresting that focus on any movie, match and any other entertainment. That's how toxic ppl Introduced
As a Real Madrid fan...that day was the first and only day i applauded a Barcelona player for scoring on us...i was in awe...just incredible Still to this day he’s the only Barcelona player I actually enjoyed watching
@@rudylaviolette8386 footballazz wrote he only enjoyed Ronaldinho , therefore I asked why only him , why not messi , Xavi , Iniesta , rivaldo , Ronaldo etc
Dude was complete lmao. It’s crazy how skillful he was. Dude could pass, dribble, and shoot. He also had pace and strength. One of footballs unique talents
Football was still fun and a sport when this legend was around. Once he left, the football field just seemed grey. No humility and fun left. I stopped watching football when Ronaldinho retired. He was the best. He played on a field where the world watched him, almost as if he was just playing in the street at home with the boys, where he could try any skills. And if it didn't go right. He would smile it off and say sorry. Like it was nothing serious. He made football fun.
I firmly believe Sergio Ramos is a good defender because of all the years he had to defend versus Ronaldinho and everyone he had to defend after him was a joke.
Thanks for this video, which shows that Ronaldinho was always between geniality and sloppiness. Makes an amazing run, pass, goal ... just before, fails to stop the ball, plays into nowhere, loses the ball too easily. He was just not willing to step too much into the trivialities of soccer, he was always attempting to create magic moments ... and boy he did!
yep, your words 100% true. People like remember his game, bcs forget about his another side. Ronaldinho it like heartbreak for any coach, you neven now what he doing now - crazy mistake, or crazy magic skill/goal
Pretty much every good player... What good player isnt sloppy at times when trying to over-extend to create a magical play? Messi makes mistakes all the time, as does Ronaldo. Ronaldinho was WILLING to make mistakes and look bad at times to make a great play. And in futbol, all you you need is ONE of theose plays to finally work and it can be the difference between a win and a loss.
@@JonHop1 Good point and true for some players, but there is a huge other fraction of players that cultivate a style of “no mistakes”, take Toni Kroos for instance. And make no mistake, Ronaldinho was much more sloppy than Lionel Messi or even CR7. It is a difference if you lose the ball because you pay no attention at times and are bored of the trivialities of life/soccer like Ronaldinho or because of a failed attempt.
This was Barca at its peak. Simply class, simply invincible!!! I miss Gaucho to date. He is the missing ingredient in world football. Poor Ramos, he was tasked to mark the best of the best. He will live to replay this game in his entire life time! He did his best though.
these were the times when real madrid and barcelona had legends on their teams, and every time they played against each other it was like an all-star game
I remember watching him playing for Brazil so long ago and thinking.. "wow this guys makes so many bad plays". Now as an adult I realize the playfulness and the creativity this man has displayed. I have nothing but respect for him and I realize why he is an idol to so many people. I hope one day we can have more players like him in the world cup that can make soccer "football" fun to watch on world level.
He made people fall in love with the sport. He was so unique and that smile will always be remembered. The best ever. I'm sorry, I love messi, but he can never compared to Ronaldinho.
If this man was as competitive as cr7 he would have absolutely reigned supreme as the greatest of all time for and his prime would have spanned as long as messi and Ronaldos.
Happy to see the comments acknowledging that this was the golden age of football: everyone had fun, was positive, it wasnt as soft as these days ("Ouuchh he looked at me!") and the amount of top tier players on one field, instead of relying on one semi star to carry it all
guy was incredible, he is pushing the ball forward with a smile, talking with referee with a smile, dribbling, chatting, always with a smile its like he got to the final level and beat the game took the invincible mode and went new game plus just to troll the characters with his new powers
What an exciting time that was to follow Barcelona. Not only did they have the best player in the world in Ronaldinho, but so many other talented players. And of course, the young Argentine GOAT!!!
