Its a misunderstanding that you have to have a battery bank if you want to use solar. A power bank big enough is insanely expensive so it won't make sense, however solar panels aint that expensive. I use a hybrid inverter with limiter. That means it is in sync with the grid power but wont send power to the energy company. It will only send power when there is a usage, if the usage is too large it will start drawing the missing power from the grid. Solar gives 750w Mining rig takes 1000w Then it will draw 250w from the grid. Now the next thing is I have a sun sensor controlling the power outlet to my mining rig so if its get cloudy or night it will automatically shut down the mining rig. When the sun comes back it starts up. That means I only mine when there is sun and therfore keeping the power bill very very low. You dont need a battery bank. You could build a small cheap one which can last 30 minuts so it will keep it running if there is clouds. Thats my next project.

Btw that type of inverter is called a Solar Grid-tie inverter with Limiter. It's not a hybrid inverter.

Truly. This kind-of centralized over zealous aire of confidence from this guy is just more fuel to the value of decentralization. There are still great projects making waves. It's just not full Bull mkt yet. There may be the need for more jumping around if you want profit...but it's there. Centralized hosting whether mining, storage or cloud in general will go out of style. Nvidia can make as powerful of ai training clusters or application vendors can try as hard as they want to get you on a subscription service...but free and open and decentral values will prevail. This "depression" will pass. Flip the order books. Sell high. Value yourself, not the "organization" more.

I think miners are a large part of the excitement of crypto, big corp arent. Take the small home miner out and it will be interesting to seenwhat happens. I got into mining for fun, hobby hopefully more. I dont have much interest in buying 99% of the coins.

This certainly sounds good too, but I think it's still worth considering more reliable options like copy trading platforms such as Eledator, for example.

Interesting to hear what he had to say. IDK if the 6 months to a year before home mining is not viable or not is true though... I would guess probably after this bull run is over, then we will see a lot of them turn off again, which kinda fits his time frame if bull run history repeats again.

At this point is seems like any coin, BTC included, is doomed to a race to the bottom/centralization if they allow asics in. They are intentionally compromising all of the basic principals that the space were founded on and promised.

home mining is long time over. I never understood all algo's which were created to withstand ASIC mining to favor the home GPU mining. Yes, i like home ming a lot too and i did learn a lot, but from business point of view (so from the various blockchains) becoming the best/survival/growth is what counts. And if that means running on ASIC, then that is what it will be. Why would any blockchain favor home mining on unreliable small scale GPU's over dedicated well operated and maintained ASIC farms? Only de-centralisation is something, but if de-centralisation is maintained even on these big ASIC farms, business would agree perfectly

1:01:29 This is the reason why home mining may die. The whole “You haven’t been keeping up” mentality. Ravencoin is the most sound PoW project out there from the standpoint of cypherpunk philosophy. But people keep trying to make project after project with compromised principles happen in the hopes of greater short term profit. When people abandon their principles, they lose everything. The community should have united behind sound principles after the merge, if not before. Instead, the whole meta now is to try and cash out post-listing at the expense of retail liquidity who inevitably lose every time. This leads to new-investors becoming disillusioned and exiting the market while the miners are busy chasing their tails to try and not be left holding a bag of whatever new scamcoin was released last week. This industry will either stand by its principles, unite behind sound projects, and survive… or it will inevitably die, murdered by the hands of its own proponents.

I honestly don't understand why you're discussing these dubious schemes. There are plenty of options like Eledator and similar ones that are fast and profitable.
