Dominick Cruz was talking about his commentary and not his podcast. But otherwise people said that after that criticism DC improved as a commentator. I noticed that. And John McCarthy and Josh Thompson said the same thing on their podcast. He was a bad commentator but now he is a good one. That’s all that matters in the end.

I like Rob but I think he stands a chance against izzy. It's a horrible match-up for him. Izzy beats him anywhere the fight can go

@@thesilencer4638 I don't think so. Other than yan many have tried to get him down but not able to. Rob isn't some take down specialist and izzy has great defense. Izzy has the title. Rob has to go get it. Rob is lot faster than most in the division and that's why his striking gets to opponents but it's not like he is some technical striker. He blitz and rushes forward and that's not gonna work on izzy we've already seen that and if he can't get him down then what? Izzy has the reach advantage by alot! Izzy beats him everywhere in the fight isn't even close I was blessed to see izzy vs kevin live and ever since that fight he has rarely been in any trouble at all

I guess they all respect him because he's one of them (or was one) so they can relate & he's relaxed. Doesn't ask silly questions like some of the mma 'reporters' at the press conferences.

Fun fact about Whittaker that is commonly mistook is that he never actually had a title run, nor has he ever won an undisputed title fight. In actuality he won an interim title fight against Yoel, got promoted to undisputed champ after GSP stood down, fought Yoel again in a non-title fight (after Yoel missed weight by .2 lb), and then lost the belt to Izzy. No hate to Whittaker, he’s my guy always! Just very interesting that this fact is missed even by experienced heads like DC.
