A fugitive takes shelter in a friend's house.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater (a.k.a. Radio Mystery Theater and Mystery Theater, sometimes abbreviated as CBSRMT) is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed.
The format was similar to that of classic old time radio shows like The Mysterious Traveler and The Whistler, in that the episodes were introduced by host E. G. Marshall who provided pithy wisdom and commentary throughout. Unlike the hosts of those earlier programs, Marshall is fully mortal, merely someone whose heightened insight and erudition plunge the listener into the world of the macabre (in a manner similar to that of "The Man in Black" on yet another old time radio program, Suspense).

That was an amazingly good impersonation of Edward G Robinson. I felt sure the actor would slip eventually but if he ever did I never caught it.

lol! when you drink budweiser? youll drink it all! lol my boy is home on military leave and ive usually got this program on and im singing to the commercials! hahaha hes not really paying attention untill im getting the words to the song down by heart then the most bewildered look on his face! we dont use cable tv so no commercials on what i usually stream so the ones on this program is like how the heck does she know the words!!! omj! to funny! i havnt yet told him i as a teen listened to this program quite a bit! i even remember the sale prices for ace hardware commercials! hahahaa hes no dummy hell catch on soon enough! moms doings just dont require his attention any more lol

Enjoyed the story line but you can tell it’s a few years old. Like you’d leave your husband on a whim like it described

The idea is that "Killer Mike" is an unusually charismatic man. It's a little far-fetched and difficult to bring off plausibly, but in real life there actually are organized crime leaders with a talent for bringing people under their sway; after all, how else would they rise to such a position? Anyway either the script or the performances clearly didn't convince you, so the episode failed as far as you're concerned. As I said, such a premise isn't easy to bring off.
