The Deadly Bees: #50 on my 'MST3K Funniest Episodes' playlist 

Yeah, and most people like Projected Man which is just as funny, and personally I think The Deadly Bees might 'bee' a bit better overall, (I do change some of the rankings once in a while and those two have been getting closer). Mike, Kevin, and Bill's British accents are all hilarious as well.

@@wileyschmitt I think it's just a massive bummer overall. Like, it's all brown and dull orange, everyone dies, and the characters are weird garbage. That and like, nothing happens except bees. It's really just a stiff, ugly movie. Not Starfighters or Red Zone Cuba stiff, but...pretty stiff.

Yeah that's all true about the movie itself, but as far as whether the MST3K episode is good or not is mostly based on the writing and delivery of the jokes (at least as far as my rankings go).

As an Englishwoman this made me laugh. However pubs had very strict opening hours in England back then, it was a hangover (pun intended) from WW1 when the govt wanted the munitions workers to be sober for obvious reasons. The licensing laws brought in then were still in operation until the 1990s. Some people claim this to be the source of binge-drinking culture in the UK.
