This film was actually a sequel to a 1966 film called The Las Vegas Hillbillys, with Mamie Van Doren playing Boots Malone. Ferlin Husky also starred in that one along with Jayne Mansfield and Richard Kiel!
These kinds of movies were great for learning about disappointment. Imagine hoping to see a haunted house story and you get Hee-Haw in a bullet bra!?!? Story of my childhood!

the non Riff version of this is on RU-vid and popped into my feed. If you're thinking this seems like a short film it's cause the uncut version pads this thing out with another 25-30 mins of them AT THE JAMBOREE doing nothing but singing more songs to end the movie.

It's more like The Man From U.N.C.L.E. meets The Beverly Hillbillies and Scooby Doo. The spies at the beginning look like THRUSH agents with their suits and fedoras, and the acronym M.O.T.H.E.R. for the good guy intelligence organization is clearly a take-off of U.N.C.L.E.
Where would we be without these three still continuing to make us laugh? And where would the band in this movie not be without the stellar guidance of their manager Jeepers?

I remember watching mst3k when I was 10 with my brother late at night on sci-fi. I feel like my sense of humor was basically developed by these guys and I'm so glad because humor these days is awful.
Trace Beaulieu once said that MST3K can help because sometimes we’re trapped watching a crummy movie that happens to be our own lives. Best to have a little fun with it.
Now I want a movie like the Spider-verse one where different Alfreds have to figure out where their Batmen are and fix the tear in the dimension time thingy while trying to stop multiple Penguins (one of them being an actual penguin) from taking over the city. I do feel sorry for Basil Rathbone, John Carradine, and Lon Cheney Jr. being stuck in this crap though.
