Front Row The Dear Hunter performs an untitled new song live at Union Transfer, Philadelphia PA 7/21/14 Track 14 off of The Dear Hunter's newest album "Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise"
My two favorite bands are Dear Hunter and Manchester Orchestra, i obviously prefer The Dear Hunter, but my friend likes Manchester Orchestra better. I will never understand it, unfathomable.
+johnbender That's funny, right before I discovered this band a few days ago, I had decided I had to get Simple Math because I already had a few MO albums and Simple Math was an amazing song
I lost my faith when I was young I clench my fist, bite my tongue I leave you awake from all the things that I have done I say it wouldn't be a thing when I moved on And then I said wait Are our bodies really part of the dirt And is the soul just a metaphor? I keep my eyes from looking too far up I fear that there is a heaven above I stood in line to bow my head I fold my hand to speak in tongues to whisper words to the dead And I could sound no apparition with a single word I said Too hard to cope the fear until the end And then I said wait Is my body really part of the earth And is there blood running through my veins? I'll know when it's raining dust But I fear the answer isn't enough So will I even go to heaven or hell And is eternity something worse? I keep my eyes from looking too far up I fear that there is a heaven above Heaven above A heaven above I wanna give it up I wanna give it up I wanna give it up But I just need it too much Wait Is my body really part of the earth And is there blood running through my veins? I'll know when it's raining dust But I fear the answer isn't enough So will I ever go to heaven or hell And is eternity something worse? I keep my eyes from looking too far up I fear that there is a heaven above Fear that there is a heaven above I fear that there is a heaven above I hope there's not a heaven above

Devashish Mulye I think he is leaning more towards the chords being the same, it's not easy to hear listening to "Wait" after "In Cauda" but if your ears can handle it at the same time, they are very, very similar.
Come to Australia right now! infact get reign of kind to tour with you. charge me 90 bucks. I don't care. I'll throw money at you. start contacting AUS radio stations for airplay! start with 'triple j'. NOW! please? 😁
Actually this song is more Casey pondering that maybe there is a heaven and he is afraid because if there is he is fucked for being an Athiest. So he hopes there is no heaven above, but if there isnt, maybe eternity is worse?
johnbender The weird thing is, in an interview he said that he was a Catholic, and another being that he don't know what he is, that he both parallels and goes against modern day religion. Also, he made a song about the afterlife (Home - The Color Spectrum) But, "No God" indicates him being agnostic. BUT the first line of this song says that he lost his face when he was young. What da faq?
