This was actually a private show and only they played. Way back in the day Casey (the lead singer) created an investment group. Fans had the chance to invest in the band and were rewarded with things like early releases and secret shows. This was one of those shows and I was there... it was incredible.
I prefer how they sound in this video over how this song sounds recorded. Making music sound this fantastic live takes a seriously talented band dedicated to their art. Music is still alive and well!
I have to say The Dear Hunter are amazing..... I loved the acts , but the color spectrum is so different than what they previously released and it is a breath of fresh air. The Red ep has to be one of the most bad ass albums I've heard
Saw these guys open for Manchester Orchestra, these guys ROCK. I can't believe how this only has 50k hits... such great music, awesome live too great stage presence
@HaloFilmProductions Yeah, from the Color Spectrum, it's mainly on their Black, Red, and Orange EPs. This one is from Red. I don't know about the Act albums, I haven't had the pleasure of listening to those yet. But Casey was also used to be in a band called The Receiving End of Sirens, and they're post-hardcore. You may like them.
Sweet holy smoking Jesus.I was only listening this through a playlist, and didn't even realize this is a live video until i took a massive look at the title... such awesome performance! I would love to see you live somewhere around Middle-Europe, I would even travel abroad.
Definitely better than album record. It's so hard to play like that in live stage. Congratz! Started to listening Dear Hunter with this video about 3 years ago... just never commented. You are so good!
@drgn16 Ahh, I was at that show, too! Totally worth the 6-hour drive, it was incredible. I loved the acoustic stuff, too. "Things That Hide Away" is one of my favorites off the color spectrum.
I wish the dvd was done just like this. But it would have been difficult with the amount of people they had on stage. Anyways, love this video. Wish there were more.
I literally randomly found these guys, and my mind is FUCKING BLOWN. his voice is seriously equal to Dallas Green's, and i dont believe ive ever said that before.
@fender4string It's definitely live. For one the audio levels would not be like this on an album track and second The Dear Hunter are just really good live.
