I think it's Emperor Hirohito, the only people who would be signing on that page would be other royals and he was on the Japanese throne until 1989.

As opposed to spiritual/artistic knowledge, I would say. They are referring to knowledge of the natural world.

To be fair, Her Majesty was a Parker user -- Parker 51, burgundy and gold, if I remember correctly. Maybe Charles III will ditch the leaky pen he has once he gets his hands on that one.

The monarch is a nationalist symbol. It is not rational, but emotional. It's tribal behaviour.

She was the queen of quite a few countries, including Canada, Australia, Papua New Guinea, quite a few nations in the Caribbean, and New Zealand. While she's obviously very much not well liked in Britain's former colonies, she was also previously Queen of India and a large portion of Africa. Even just in the UK, she was technically Queen of several countries (since the UK is made up of multiple countries, specifically England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland). I'm very much not a royalist, and think that giving people positions of power, even ceremonial, purely off their parentage is an outdated idea, and I also believe that the Monarchy represents, to many people, the legacy of British colonialism, with much of their wealth being gained at the expense of conquered peoples, but her death very much is an event that effects huge portions of the world. Even just looking at the actual, real world impacts that have already happened (as opposed to the still important, but less measurable, effects on public perception, the grief of people who are fans of the monarchy, and the historical significance), Antigua and Barbuda's Prime Minister has already announced that, within 3 years, they will hold a referendum to determine if the country retains King Charles as the King, or if the monarchy will be fully abolished.
