@@DionBelleIt's not that. Superheroes fight for all their life, they are all brothers in arms, Wolverine respect Cap because he is a true leader and a great man, not because they are veterans of the army... Frank Castle is a veteran too, but Wolverine has not so much respect for him, and Cap completely dislike and desrespect Frank Castle.
Wolverine never forgets a smell so it makes perfect sense for him to sniff the casket. He would detect anything out of the ordinary and whatever the smell is associated with.
Almost everyone doesnt know that Captain America and wolvie served together in WWll. The "saga" if you will, is called "The Eyes of Liberty" it was even a quick episode in both the Spiderman animated series, and x-men animated series.
Yeah man. It was also illustrated in Uncanny X-Men Vol1 #268. That was a very good read. Picked it up years ago from the cover alone (Jim Lee). There is also an interesting cameo from one of the X-Men's villans to boot.
They fought together in WWII, back when wars were still fought for just causes, and he respects Steve for being such a pure idealist and serving his people. You never forget your brothers in arms.
@@SuperBobby1967 it actually does. Ghost rider comes for the punisher and wolverine during a battle between the 2. Punisher and Wolverine highly respect Captain America who tries to stop the feud when Ghost Rider shows up to try and take them both down. Shit even hulk could show up. The story could easily write itself better than the latest Thor movie. We should have had a part 1 and 2 with Gorr instead we got a kidnapping story and a silly Zeus story that's so sideways I can't believe it. Don't get me started on Wandavision and multiverse of madness. Yet, you think this would make no sense? You should read more of the comics and watch some of the old 80s animated series my dude. You'd see how wrong you are.
@@LittleMoose1thank you for that info and that would be a crazy movie because all of those characters are unhinged except for the rational captain America
Well for starters Disney had to buy Marvel, Fox, and something else I'm forgetting. Next, mutants/The X-Men would have to be introduced into the MCU. This was actually started with the conclusion of Ms. Marvel season 1, Multiverse of Madness, and again at the end in The Marvels... By the time these things happened RDJ's Iron Man was already dead, and Captain America looked his age. Either the writers of the Marvel properties would have to be able to predict the future, or Disney would have to spend even more money to rewrite, redirect, and reshoot everything that was planned before Disney owned everything.
@@john2g1 The op wasn't talking about now. You skipped over "image", which meant was implying if Disney had bought Fox and introduced Mutants before Endgame.
Fallen Son was an amazing story. The heroes were still separated but all grieving over Cap's death. Showing them going through the stages of grief after death.
Steve Rogers is a beacon, he represents an ideal. It’s no wonder his passing would rattle a lot of people. And Logan is type of guy you want in your corner.
@@GhostRider-870 no not particularly, now if the movie was written and filmed by a company that actually likes the characters and knew how to write them properly then that would be a different story altogether.
In one of the comics, Cap referenced wolverine and said he fought in WW2 with him, and he was called "lucky Jim" back then, because whatever would kill anyone else, it just seemed to give him minor injuries, and he'd be back to work really quick. That was obviously before his metal bones enhancements. Too bad wolverine had his mind wiped so much, because his age and ability to tell history would be epic for story time.
😊 I remember this making the news. I was at my Grandma's house, sitting in her living room. All of a sudden I hear her swearing at the 📺TV in her bedroom. She soon emerges, walking down the hallway and visibly upset. As she entered the living room I asked her what she was yelling about. **It's important to note that my Grandma is not a comic book fan by any means.** Her response was a question, as she asked me, irritated, "Did you hear they killed Captain America?" After telling her that I had indeed heard, I asked her why she was so upset about it, being that she wasn't even a fan or follower of comic books. She answered by giving me a brief history lesson, telling me about the start of WWII, and how Cap was created to boost morale. She went on to explain just how much he had meant to everyone in those dark, worrisome years, and how she thought it was "fucking stupid" to kill him. I chuckled a bit, telling her it was cool to see her so worked up over something like this, and then went on to explain to her thar it is a near certainty it would not last, and that the good Captain would be back in a year or so. She grumbled, still insisting it was "a fucking stupid" thing to do regardless. 😅
Love this story, my great-Grandma was the exact same way. She didn't read comic books, but really got me into them when I was like 5. I'm 40 now and still love them.
@@RickyRantz What about his story seems too fantastical to be true? I read a lot of mundane comments/stories that people claim can't be true and I'm just wondering why?
Death in comics is like coughs colds and flue season. It’s reasonable for Logan to assume cap just has man flu or is being held hostage in a basement or went to mars or middle earth with the fantastic four or is lost in a time or got himself frozen again and needs Logan to de ice him and give him some oranges.
I love how Marvel and DC think it's still a big deal. I mean they broght back Barry Allen, Bucky and Jason Todd for no reason. Why the hell would we shed a tear anymore?
Yeah especially since cap tech wasnt dead but his conciousness was sent to the past ornsome dumb crap... He relived memories , usually dealing with bucky that were the same ad he remembered them. Once he did that for god knows how ling, he was suddenly back alive
Some say Captain America was nothing more a juiced up soldier...before his juice he was the most fragile and the only one to throw himself on a grenade he believes is real pleading to stay back. Integrity, Fearless and willpower are superpowers in their own right. To place that into a body that could keep up even if for a finite time...making Captain special and explaining the void he left.
It’s a sad, great story arc. Crossbones has skills and fought cap, bullseye, and other heroes but doesn’t give his best here and just tells the truth like begrudging respect.
Naw bro he is not even close! Wolverine 5'4"- 5'5" and very bulky with a deep graspy voice and the attitude is unique. Jackman doesn't carry that at all 😂
I have worked in construction in SoCal since I was 18 and in the 10 years I’ve met many different immigrants with varying citizenship status’. It never bothered me one bit if one of my coworkers was “undocumented” but I always really felt proud for my friends who became citizens. I could see they were happy after trying so hard to become a citizen. It’s a very long, arduous process to get your green card, or citizenship.
Wolverine is probably Cap's longest friend since both fought in WW2. Wolverine lost so many friends and him been able to outlive everybody would hurt a lot. Wolverine does cherish his friend even tho he doesn't show it the normal way.
should check out there orginal team up vs Bushwaker, think it was in the marvel comics presents series you could also find it in the Wolverine Unleashed Books
Both Cap and Logan fought in WW2 and both are basically relics of the past that still lives on to see the world corrupted. Even Tony got corrupted too with due time in Civil War storyline. Seeing tony corrupt and Cap dead, must have put Logan in an endless rage.
Why did logan need dardevil help to detect lies when he should be able to detect lies with his own enhanced senses? Hell isnt he the guy who said he could find mystique in like 1hrs while in a crowded city
Logan wasn’t thinking straight to be fair, he also wanted someone who actually knows if they are lying. Also lying and finding someone who can shapeshift are two different things. Logan is a tracker not a lie detector.
Far as I know both their sense are on par with predatory animals and in fact logan sense of smell is better than Matt's. So I believe he should be able to use his sense to detect lies hell dogs can smell cancer
@@dbears1603you cant smell lies 😂 dare devil can do it cause he can HEAR their heart beat and the like, and can tell based on how fast it beats.and yes DD has waaaay better hearing than wolverine.
@@blam7387 notice I said sense not sense of smell Logan sense of hearing is also ridiculously enhanced even if though it's not as good as matts it's still at the lv of a predatory animal. I believe all his senses are enhanced to that point and his sense of smell of just the most powerful
Of all the Marvel heroes there are only 2 I do admire…Captain America with hi inert ability to always do what is right…and Wolverine cause we all need a tough ass who not only can give Cap a run for his money but beat the living snot out of perks that Cap doesn’t really wanna hurt!
It always made me so sad that they gave up on the X-Men and Marvel wasn’t allowed to do anything with them because there were so many good stories involving wolverine and other x-Men alongside the avengers.
You could see Wolverines respect for Captain America in the Xmen animated 90s episodes where he yells and rushes to make it in time to push cap out the way of falling debris from killing him
Logan is one hero who always leaves a group of heroes just to take matters onto his own hands, so he'll be the only one who suffers, but when he someone strikes his dear people, he'd literally hunt them down and find all the clues and evidence leading to the matter
Caps death hit all the main heroes real hard. Shit i was at the veterans hosp wen it came on the news that character of captain america was killed off and this vet said how do u kill off cap wen this country is at war! He had a tear in his eye. I was holding it in until he said dat, Caps my hero since the early 70s. It even affected real ppl🇺🇲Long live da good Captain 🇺🇲
Well I think cap and logan have history together. They served together and created respect between each other. So that is just 1 reason logan will do what he can to get to the bottom of it. He is and always will be my favourite marvel character
It would have been amazing if they did this story line instead of disney's civil war. That's why I was really disappointed when captain america did not die
I like how Logan/wolverine has been around for so long (in terms of comic years like 200+ years old) that hes had the chance to team up with the likes of Spider-Man, daredevil, captain america, etc
Wolverine usually has a heightened sense of smell. He was probably trying to determine if it was actually Caps corpse…. Not saying it wasn’t weird but the man has a metal skeleton and can heal from being injured in anyway; which is totally normal.
Daredevil just ensured he wasn’t lying but Logan already knew cause Logan does in fact use his heightened sense of smell to know if someone is lying. Basically he can smell sweet glands too.
Something here is off. They say he was hired to kill Cap but cap saw the red dot on an officer and pushed him out of the way instead sacrificing himself. So wouldn't he have been hired to kill the officer but accidently shot cap instead? Or did he just hope steve would notice the dot and sacrifice himself?
