@@Electricsheep86 Ah. A purist who thinks Star Wars had a noble mission. The movies were fairy tales … “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away …” The prequels were fantastic compared to the Disney produced garbage that followed.
I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations. While I am fluent in over 6 million forms of communication, don't expect me to communicate clearly the thoughts of Disney executives and writers. There is a base-level of intelligence required for my services.
Yes, the dumbing down of the population has been a massive success. Just like most of the lower primates in Zoo, the average person is more preoccupied with their genitals, looks, and gaining attention, than anything else in life.
@@LooneyVoices6398 Turn away. unsubscribe. Don't buy their shit, even the old stuff. Giving them any money at all means; you like what you are getting. They can't survive on the purple haired 2% alone. I honestly don't even care if they survive at this point. And that goes for all of Hollywood.
You're quite right. The issue is that major corporations put profits above ALL ELSE. They don't care about the point of Star Wars, making art, or even making a "story". They only want to milk it - and us - for pointless digital zeros.
@@marbellaotaiza801 what's kinkier than a mere voyeur? An edging dock-blocking sadist. Six million forms of communication requires an understanding of societies and psychologies. *He knew what he was doing* and it was all revenge for the mindwipe.
They remind me of the early Mr. Plinkett reviews where RLM criticizes George Lucas explicitly through the script, and implicitly by making their review better written, characterized, paced, and acted than the movie in question.
@@unclerukmer Their reviews are awfully paced. Most of his critique is "I don't like that, so it's shit...movie JUST STARTED and it's already boooring... He skips or misinterprets what is going on in scenes to try to show that it's bad. He claims that midichlorians ruined Star wars for him and doesn't bother explain why. He hates the prequels so much that he spent 70% of his TFA review bashing the prequels and all he said about TFA were some gay jokes (because apparently he likes TFA, which proves he just wants copypaste of OT all over again). He thinks that if he asks his friends to characterize prequel characters and they can't (or pretend that they can't for him) that means nobody else can and the characters are poorly written. Objectivity... But most importantly, he doesn't just hate the prequels, he spreads a myth that Star Wars was "saved in the edit", that George Lucas has no talent and just got lucky (despite he wrote all OT and edited most of ep4 himself, and reshot ep5...), he even filmed documentary "People vs George Lucas" only to trash him. He takes clips out of documentaries and bullshits over them "You see people are terrified of George Lucas and nobody knows what are they doing", despite if you watch them, that's not true at all, everyone was invested and happy...He calls any special effects in prequels "CGI crap" despite each prequel used more practical effects than the whole OT, despite the CGI was groundbreaking at the time just like effects in OT and pushed technology forward, despite the fact that CGI is often harder to do than practical effects... He makes fun of Rick McCallum's "It's so dense, every single image has so much things going on" as if detailed background and world-building is something bad... So yeah, after so massive backslash over the internet which RLM started, after songs "George Lucas ruined my childhood", after death threats to Lucas and actors (Jake Lloyd still has scisophrenia and Ahmed Best almost killed himself in 2000s), after "People vs George Lucas", parodies, videos of killing Jar Jar Binks, etc... I understand why Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney (he donated most of the money, btw). These assholes deserve Disney sequels and nothing more. P.S. Plinkett has annoying voice, disgusting image and disgusting jokes about killing hookers and how he farts. I don't understand why he has so many fans.
@@user-xx6vy9ri8pdamn dude been holding on to that. Can't say I'm too much of a fan of them either but they've had some good input and some bad. And I'm not sure if the prequels used more practical than the OT man...that sounds kinda silly
Very well said: SW has gone from having us on the edge of our seats as kids to background stimuli for today's kids. Imagine Ashoka being your first contact with SW... no fandom can be born out of that, it's just too boring and non-sensical.
Wait, what? You didn't enjoy the exquisite performance of two middle-aged women fighting it out, in a tempo that would have made the average garden mollusk green with envy?? Why, that just means you're sane, and you should take great pride in that fact.
Damn, i never realized that C3-P0 was straight whoring himself out to any vaguely anthropomorphic chunk of metal that looked his way. Guess that's the real reason R2-D2 is always beeping at him angrily!
I tuned out after Return of the Jedi but your videos are usually worth a watch. I remember in high school I wrote an essay from the viewpoint of C3P0, although I did not mention that, and get a very good grade.
Are they ethical? I find them not to be. Let's say for example you spent your life campaigning against animal cruelty, then someone uploaded an AI video of you endorsing animal cruelty and speaking in a way that was completely insulting to you, misrepresenting your whole character and beliefs. Wouldn't that feel like a violation?
@@Scripture-Man a) no commercial gain. Just entertainment. b) it's particularly clear from even a moment of context-thinking how this came about. c) Anthony Daniels isn't even a victim here. The "victim" would be C-3P0 who ohwaitthat'sright doesn't exist.
That intro was strikingly accurate to my experience of recent Star Wara movies. I'd try watching them and give them a chance, only to get bored and start playing on my phone while it played as background noise.
Andor had me LOCKED IN. Compare the back-end espionage happenings in that show on Coruscant and the childlike parallel with the science Imp in Mando getting spied on by andro woman. It is NIGHT and DAY in terms of writing and suspense. Andor made building parts for the empire in prison suspenseful!
I never would have guessed that C-3PO has such a racy side. I have a suspicion that there are many great extended universe stories involving a fabled Jedi Feather Duster, powered by a kyber crystal of course.
@@gdutfulkbhh7537 yeah like me the Original Trilogy. Still luv Star Wars so it pains me what Disney has done to it. I'm EXTREMELY picky about Star Wars content.
Haha.. I woke up and this was the first thing i watched with a cup of coffee. Great start of the day. I'd love to hear more of C-3PO's rants on Disney... ^^
As a guy who’s dad took him to stars wars on opening weekend in the 70’s, I’ve been kinda of a super fan. Having been the first kids to play with action figures, and grow up loving every second of Star Wars, minus the cute fury fks in Return, I , against all that is holy, purchased a sub to Disney. Feel dirty ,, but the wife out of town I binged on Star Wars everything. Let’s just say sadness is lonely and dark. Thanks Disney for burning down my childhood… I’m 54 and that’s soul crushing…
@@aidanforman5950 Yup. I became a Star Wars fan in 2011 or early 2012 right before Disney bought it. I was like 8 or 9 years old. I thought that Disney would fuck things up because they were the company notorious with Disney Princesses, it didn't sit right with me. I was correct.
I really thoroughly enjoy your new slant on having your commentry voiced by AI "celebrity" voices, but it doesn't end there. The inclusing of bad cosplays or 1950's style janky Mikey and Minnie costumes is absulutely the cherry on top of the cake. Again, BRAVO and Well Done (from a complete utter stranger whom you will never meet in person) 😂
The Vader scene in Rogue One was when I decided to stop watching Star Wars. I mean, the Death Star plans were right there, 12 feet in front of Vader, and he could have just Force Grabbed the disk and left. Yet, instead, he wastes time killing troopers in elaborate fashion. Anakin has jumped straight into massive armies yet now he's more concerned about a handful of nobodies than his mission. At that point I knew that Disney just considered Star Wars to be a spectacle, and not an actual coherent story.
The worst part about TLJ is that they went back on every single thing in the next movie. Why subvert expectations if you're just going to subvert the subversion?
Can’t help but feel that this was a sickening peek at the main content of C-3PO’s glittery pink diary, left open with the lock broken by a certain white and blue droid, with a bit of Star Wars critique on the side.
Brilliant and nailed it. Another droid I’d love to hear is that one inventory droid from Rebels AP5?. The old one who as super sarcastic lol …he would be hilarious to listen to as well?
I wish there was tech that could allow one to beam into a video clip and interact with those on the footage .... Lucas fixing to sign away everything - beam in and take the pen from Iger while saying , " GAWD No!!! PLEASE NOOOOoooo !!! "
This is the wolves many have gave up and forsakened the Expanded Universe writers and foundation in their faithlessness and lawlessness. I however will not conform to the modern narrative and seek and abide only in the works that the EU writers already gave unto us. And I will appreciate them.
I realized I have left SW behind... But I cannot stop watching videos about their constant decline... I just love the way they fail. It is so spectacular and interesting.
You might try narrating a video through the voice of Stephen Frye's character from Jeeves and Wooster. C3PO's round-about sexual references to robots reminded me of Jeeves-isms.
