Yeah. Isn't his body supposed to blacken as he dies? You know, much like how Optimus blackened as he died? I guess the animators must have forgotten that aspect.
Actually, in case you've forgotten, Optimus died before Magnus did even in this series. And even in this series, Optimus turned black when he died. And also, they dubbed the movie in Japanese around the same decade.
Magnus does have several Japanese voice actors in the Japanese series Banjo Ginja (Scramble City) - He was also the same voice actor for MegaZarak and Black Zarak the main antagonist for TF headmasters and TF Masterforce Sho Hayami (Transformers The Movie and Transformers 2010 or Season 3) - The voice actor for another six-changer Sixnight or Quickswitch in TF Masterforce. Hochu Otsuka (TF Headmasters) - The legendary voice actor who voiced as Jiraya from Naruto and Akira Sendoh from Slam Dunk.
To JoJo aficionados, Daniel J. D'Arby, vampire Vanilla Ice and Hol Horse have dealt with the City Commander then. Also, Banjo GInga is also Magnus, but as Autobot Supreme Commander in TF Animated J-dub.
indeed, I always say Ultra Magnus should of been the next Autobot leader after Optimus Prime died in the movie, instead of Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus had the same potential as Optimus Prime which would of made him a great autobot leader like Optimus Prime, the matrix should selected Ultra Magnus, not hot rod, Arise Magnamus Prime.
I wholeheartedly agree I'm sorry but rodimus prime is much better as hot rod to me when he became rodimus prime he was way too wimpy and always whining and crying as hot rod at least he had guts but to be really honest the new autobot leader should been bumblebee the first two seasons it look like they were preparing bumblebee to be the new leader after Optimus that my opinion
I thought it will be an intense fight, but...... Sixshot just wins...... so easy? I can hardly believe that Ultra Magnus has no fight back! How this could be!?
4:58, Fortress: Ultra Magnus is dead. We have to avenge him! GIVE HIS KILLER HELL!! 5:01, Headmasters: WE'RE DOWN WITH THAT SHIT!! LET'S TEAR HIM APART!! 'proceeds to own Wingwolf'
[0:34] Depecticons Apeface and Snapdragon owning Autobot Doublecross (now Twinferno) [0:41] Computron still had slow battle initiative [2:25] Autobot Trainbots, well, this is Magnus' battle and they can't help their superior Ultra Magnus didn't yet have his hammer, and was voiced here by the veteran Houchu Ohtsuka (Hol Horse from JJBA Stardust Crusaders, Jiraiya from Naruto)
The original Transformers really lost me when it came to how the robots "die". In the episode Triple Takeover, a bunch of Autobots are crushed to death by Blitzwing in his tank mode, and their remains are even turned into a throne by the Constructicons, but a few episodes later, they appear to be just fine. In the movie, Ultra Magnus is literally torn to pieces, but was later reconstructed/reactivated, but here he dies of a few shots that didn't even seem to pierce his outer armor. I just don't understand! 😵 LOL
How Magnus got revived: After his death some small dickweed by the name of minimus ambus literally found his corpse and turned ultra Magnus into a mech
my sis got the cw Magnuson and I brought TR sixshot after it release and the store was having a Christmas sale so I brought it at 25% discount ,when returned to the store less than a week, sixshot is out of stock
StathIsOptimus Ah. So are the subtitles from that release? Is this the UK release? You see, Shout Factory is the company that released The Headmasters in the US on DVD, and their subtitles are a little different.
Yes, the subtitles are from this release. I checked the dvd's box set but it doesn't say which company did it. Even from where I bought it. It's this though: www.ebay.com/itm/DVD-TRANSFORMERS-COLLECTION-HEADMASTERS-MASTER-FORCE-VICTORY-ART-BOX-SET-/252461251838?hash=item3ac7dcfcfe:g:S6gAAOSwwo1Xcrnu
“Now my ninja skills will deliver the final blow before your very eyes” *proceeds to shoot him to hell with a butt-ton of lasers …That’s some highly technical ninjaing roit thar
Magnus isn't dead, they lose color when they die so this shows he's alive, just has injuries to where the asshole team members didn't want to fix him. Damn that's harsh, don't even fix up your commander!
Anyone who picks on the writing in the original G1 cartoon should definitely see how much worse the writing in Headmasters really was. Toei had already done plenty of Transformers animation, but they had never really written anything in the franchise before, with the exception of the Scramble City OVA which was also poorly-written. Toei made a bunch of stupid decisions, like killing off Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Galvatron, destroying Cybertron, and writing out Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Wreck-Gar, etc. Not only were those ideas stupid, they were poorly executed. They played out in a way that didn't even remotely make sense.
@@Supertron1 It's in the show's title. S3 / 2010 (Two O One O) cast already had their spotlights on them that year. HM main cast is, well, obviously Headmasters (Titanmasters in Prime Wars Trilogy) on both sides of the eternal war, save Arcee and Sixshot (the Armada Starscream of the era).
Wow the scene was less depressing than optimus's death... Plus, those laser blast didn't do anything, not even a little battle damage and he still managed to die. Also, why didn't they save him in the first place? He's being blasted over and over by Sixshot.
The objective was the same as in the movie: To kill off characters whose toys were being removed from the catalog to make room for new characters. Unfortunately, Toei's writers weren't great when it came to the Transformers franchise and it was pretty much downhill from the beginning.
