Are you asking if Stone Brain would be good in a specific deck or good against a specific deck? The problem with Stone Brain in standard is even the decks it's good against (4c legends, temur analyst) it's really only good g1. They get to bring in cards that play a more fair game to beat some of the hate. For example - Temur Analyst brings in Bonny Pall anyways in any matchup where GY hate is expected. So while G1 they might not be able to easily kill you through a stone brain on (forgot the name of it Worldsoul's Rage maybe? the GRX spell) in G2 / G3 they're already expecting the interaction (although not that specific piece) and are SBing with that in mind. In a PT environment they'll also know you have stone brain as it's open decklists (usually you get to see the cards in the sb but not exact numbers, might have changed). It's also always going to put you down a card. Stone Brain is one of those cards where it's probably good that it's in the format because it prevents anything too linear / degenerate if a Stone Brain can completely shut down the deck but if the format is in a good spot it's a bad card. Compare it to Unlicensed Hearse in the Temur Analyst mu for example. Hearse is a threat, slows down your opponent's analyst ramp and costs half the mana before it affects your opponent. It will almost certainly prevent you from getting fireballed for the early-mid game while it actually interacts with your opponent and can threaten a very large attack near the end game and temur analyst doesn't do a good job of killing huge creatures.

@Defenestrationed Yeah, they're good points; in Temur Analyst you'd probably need two activations to shut them out of the game, as I think they have enough basic lands that removing four of them wouldn't prevent them from casting Bonny Pall or Worldsoul's Rage, though it could get either Worldsoul's Rage or Virtue. I was just under the impression as a SB card that even if it wasn't the best card to board in, there aren't many match ups where it has zero utility, maybe it's too slow against the aggro strategies, but they didn't make up much of the meta, unlike Arena. It's a fine card but it doesn't impact the board and you can fall behind especially if they diversify their threats after sideboard and removing one of their key card is not as impactful.

You usually overpay for what you're killing but the flexibility is nice, possible this deck should play more than two.

unlicensed hearse is my pick as graveyard hate cause i can use it against temur combo and It keeps my Deluge on-line, about this game for me is more about to counter the big spells and the unlicensed is good against the mirrors representing a threat and to shut opponents Deluge.
