My dad was a manager at a Subway when I was a kid, and it was the best since my family didn't have much money back then. I remember him calling home and asking me, my mom, and my siblings what we wanted, and he would bring it home. Subway was so much better in the 90s, and I don't eat it as much anymore because the quality went down. Even the Subway that was 5 mins away from me closed down and its now a health food store
I know this is major off topic but when I heard the name Salvatore Deluca i immediately went like “Huh?!” Made me think of the character from Mob of the Dead, Black Ops 2 Zombies REAL QUICK.

My sister works at Subway she said the reason why they are declining is because they have so many restaurant locations and not enough money subway in the USA has more restaurants than McDonald’s
Subways other big issue is their menu, it’s largely the same it’s ever been and they took away popular favorites never to be seen again. I remember when they were experimenting with new sand which ideas but nothing seems to have come of it, and they seem more focused on celebrity endorsed advertising rather than actually fixing the core product. Also Subway as a business model is just plain awful, the $5 footlong deal almost broke franchise owners and we’re losing money on each sub sold, so when the rest of your income is cookies, chips and fountain drinks there’s no other source of revenue in the business model.
