In today's era we need survivability, situational awareness, single battle picture with live update. The Gulf wars & now the Ukranian conflict have shown that without APS even the heavy tanks are total waste, just target practice & death traps. Hence now even Kurganets has APS. The BMP series are obsolete, it simply doesn't have enough volume for stronger engine, extra armor, troop comfort & latest equipment. Smoke can be pierced by MMW radar. It is a baby tank now & needs retirement & replacement by completely redesigned IFV for active war. It can be used only as peace time patrol vehicle or recon vehicle.
@@raay411 munna/beta/son, i am engineer by qualification & 40+yo. What i said is being worked by DRDO also. If your visual observation, common sense, general knowledge is poor, what can i do?
05:53 Even the specs displayed in the video says 200 to 300rds per minute! From where did that sarkari official conjure 800rds figure? He really must think the sansad tv audience is blind illiterates.
That's the og Soviet attitude. 'Don't acknowledge your mistakes and probably everything will go as intended!' Someone needs to remind them of the Murphy's law!
Really low-tech way of doing the dripping test, with someone going inside the hull with a torchlight!! No sensors or anything. These guys seriously need to up their game.
20:36 we will get order of 600-800 vehicles..😂😂 Ys, we have seen ur FICV that is based on BMP2 And Iam pretty sure Army will go with Private Company like L&T or TATA but never with OFB.
It'd have been impressive if it were the 1980s. But this is 2022. You should just Give up at this point. Tata Kestrel / WhAP should become the basic platform now. Just give up.
India need new Gen IFV imedietly..Bmp2 is outdated on nowadays...All the country have new IFV like..Turkey,China and many other country..Our infantrymen are in troubles in the field of wars..outcome
Life is cheap in India. Let the common infantry struggle with sh*tty vehicles, no body armor, no night vision, crap radios, etc. Better to spend precious funds on aircraft carriers that will never be used in combat. So what if India loses more troops as a result? India has plenty of young men. Besides, aircraft carriers are very prestigious! They show you're a real nation deserving of respect.
@@mbaxter22 lol a guy who dont have any knowldege about Indian army force is bragging here , for ur kind information India have modern IFV in good quanties for any war scenario , and also all the forward operating soliders have modern vest with all modern equipents and u are also forgetting that We are not rich like ur country we have to also take care of our country mens not like ur presidents going on a fake war only make thier rich friends mor rich
Cars and armoured vehicles are coming with Stag 3 level. They are producing stag 2 level combat vehicle..Wow.. Typical govt company with brainless people..wo inki shakal dekh kar bhi lag raha hai ..ye kya R&d karenge 🤭🤭🤭
Ofb sirf ek manufacturing unit hai R&D ka kam DRDO karta hai e sirf manufacturer karte hai par e ovi dhang se nehi karpare reliability issue rahete hai or usko thikese improve vi nehi karte or faulty ammunition k bare me sab ko pata hai
"Skilled process" "Meeting standards" "Diligent" I am sorry. Even mercenaries in Africa would not use this. In real life combat, this trash will not be useful.
Do you guys ever take feedback from your end users? Are you aware about similar weapon systems used by other countries ? Don't you think that it is vintage now? Since 2016 you have been trying to integrate Night fighting capability on all 3 weapons of the system, I will request you to please google the timeline of such project by other countries on similar platforms ! Seeing you guys R &D i am confident that its for the best that if you were also privatized like the OFB's. Its not wrong to infer from this video of your, that you are also sucking taxpayers money. Stop being so high on your own achievements done 30 years back, please come to terms with existing reality of the present.
6:03 800 rounds per minute!!😱 Dude even Kalashnikov has firing Rate of 600 RPM...and this guy is saying that a 30mm has the Firing rate of 800 RPM. Kaunsa Maal fukte hai ye OFB wale?? (Ab to private hogya hai).(。•̀ᴗ-)✧
The gun has a selectable rate of fire, either slow at 200 to 300 rounds per minute or fast at 550 rounds per minute. This gives a continuous fire time of 100-150 seconds (or only 55 seconds, depending on the rate of fire chosen) before running out of ammo.
@@ayonbiswas4186 tell this to OFB who's Workers saying that it has 800rpm which is not true.. It has 550 max Firing rate. (U are completely out of context).

Try to hire with caste based so that we can improve our army very well..😂😂😂 after 20 years also it looks like same. Where is R&D..what they developed 😂😂😂. They just imported new and assembly here. It's like a mechanic shop😂😂. Any new designs you developed 😂😂
BMP-2 and it's.. kind of like a rival, the American Bradley are both from the 80's, BMP-2 by itself is decent, I'd say that India simply just needs to upgrade it like how some other countries that poses the BMP-2 have.
@@lonewalker6110 yes but this stuff can also depend on training. Better training and upgrades (modern fire control system, new sights, maybe a more accurate version of the 30mm, better armor and such) This could be possible since India does build these BMP-2s themselves
