I've been scraping the NES catalogue for GIFable images, and writing down my thoughts as I go. Here are those thoughts recorded and synchronized to relevant gameplay footage in order to bring you the Definitive Guide to the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Playability was determined by how much patience I was able to retain while capturing these historical artifacts. It's important to consider are how well the games interfaces in a contemporary setting. The more tools you need to make the experience timeworthy, such as save states and fast-forwarding, the less playable it is. That and controls, and to certain extent sound and graphics, with deal breakers like indistinguishable objects and agonizing loops.
