This is a variant of the upcoming Jack Atlas structure that aims to go first! While Calamity is legal, this going first setup is more or less unbeatable if it goes unchecked!
So, there’s a small mistake in the combo portion. Red Zone can only be activated in response to an opponents card effect. So, if you successfully Calamity Lock, you won’t be able to pop 2 back row (Just one with Beast) but you’ll still have plenty of disruption to go into Turn 3 and OTK with relative ease 💪🏻
Do not cut Abyss to one. I tried the deck on release and if the first is outed, even with Bane you need another one ready to synchro off Scarred, I really regretted not having a second copynin Extra
I'm looking forward to building my first real deck with RDA once the structure deck drops. Planning on running Archfiend Eccentrick in mine. I really like the idea of a card that can be used for either monster or S/T removal AND is searchable by Soul Resonator.
16:15 doesn’t an effect have to be activated in order for you to use red zone to pop another back row? If they sunhat set and end turn there wouldn’t be a way to activate it right?
Also think of the flavor win of The Crimson Dragon, magical mcguffin of 5Ds, being the one to get the axe instead of just the big bungus who is usually kinda wack to summon outside of his own deck.
If calamity gets banned, I feel like the best way to play this deck would be to go second and just try to otk, which means cut the bystials. Though, in the current meta, Druiswurm is pretty solid into unchained, so I’d probably be keeping 2-3 of it around for that matchup. Going first, you could setup Abyss, Dis Pater, Regained, Beast and an RDA trap, which still sounds good but you are very reliant on opening Lubellion. I was testing this list last night at locals (just friendly games) and when I didn’t open Lubellion going first, I lost every time….
@@locallevelduelist8356 Oh, yikes. Either way, there’s a huge opportunity for RDA right now and this play is really solid! You actually helped me realize how important Lubellion is for the package because I was gonna use a Bystial Virus package in a Blue Eyes shell, and I was just wondering how to consistently get into the Dark Bystials. I guess I never paid attention to him before because of the price tag and the fact he was never the hand trap that could screw Destiny Hero Malicious over 😂 but now that he’s cheaper, I’m debating 3 Lubellion, 2 Druiswurm, 1 Magnamhut and 3 of any Virus that’s relevant (Eradicator or Full Force, mainly), so I have to thank you for that
@@justinterrell7020 another idea if you’re going down a virus path, is to consider trap trick with some of the other RDA traps. Specifically red reign and Synchro Call. Red reign is busted and synchro call allows you to quick synchro like the Bystial trap. Trap Trick will make all of those traps + virus cards far more consistent
@@locallevelduelist8356 I was gonna do virus in Blue Eyes because its a Kaiba play haha, but traptrick is absolutely not bad in this deck. In my test plays I usr Trap Trick to get The Revived Sky God in a Slifer Horus deck and reset my hand and get Slifer. Getting to Red Reign easy sounds fantastic though
@@locallevelduelist8356 instead of relying on prosperity RNG for lubellion, why not small world? you can turn any extra resonator or fiend in your hand into lubellion by using santa claws as your bridge (since it is a light monster like lubellion)
