Inactive JW here, I participated in that Guadalajara book fair. We were instructed by our captains to present the information as being practical and beneficial for families, youths and teens. To avoid mentioning it as “bible based” content, unless asked directly. Just an interesting fact to think about. Participating “high up in the ranks” so to speak I noticed how I was trained to leave out info about the organization in order to present it in a better light. That’s how we negotiated contracts and permission to be at such events. And this video shows how leaving out essential info is a good way to convince someone. In other words we might call it, lying. Now that I’m away from the religion I feel immensely free, being able to make my own decisions and not being constantly instructed on what to think or do is a huge relief.

I remember watching this at our kingdom hall showing. Me, my mom, and my sister were disturbed because he kept on asking for money multiple times. My sister and I walked out during the program. It's like we heard you the first time! This was before my, well our, great awakening.

Great video. Modern technology and the ability to easily save and call out their BS when they try to bury their old publications and media will help wake up many. Loving how the exjw community is getting faster and smarter and the org is always two steps behind. Keep up the good work.

The day they came out with the idea of JW broadcasting is the day they contributed to their numbers dropping. It truly assisted me to leave.

Even if you point this out to a Jehovah's Witness they'll find some way to excuse it.

I have a JW coworker ,once he talked about the hours of service. To which I asked him if the hourly requirements originated in the bible and he couldnt answer. I told him it didnt. Its a rule made by man, and that hes following men.

Most likely reason for a video or program to by removed or remade is that a participant has been disfellowshipped, turned apostate or even just become bad association. Its going to become increasingly common as more people are used and the library of media grows.

Interesting, my granddad informed me (an inactive JW) and my siblings (all inactive) that he would be leaving his home and the property to the organization. Hilarious. Good thing I don't have a niece getting the crap beat out of her by her dad that could use the home. Or a nephew who wants desperately to move back home to be near his mother and siblings. He's right...the organization really needs that home and property.

Their material has gotten insane in the past 10 years. I was raised in the faith and no longer practice. It shocks me what they're saying nowadays. It just goes to show how powerful their control is over the followers. It's quite unfortunate but its not surprising, they're quite literally patted on the back for having blind faith.

I remember in the 1990's we had a mortage with the watchtower for our kingdom hall, I think they got in trouble for lending without a license because later they cancelled it, they always have a reason like when we stopped asking for donations but made us pay for the publications and still accept any voluntary donations from the householder.

In the video it is stated that the brother with a wife and children resigned from his job subsequently collecting unemployment benefits. Voluntary separation from a job will automatically disqualify a claimant for unemployment benefits. Meanwhile 1Timothy 5:8 states that a man (or woman or single parent) who does not provide for his/her FAMILY has disowned the Faith! And what 9 to 5 job interferes with WEEKDAY 7P.M. meetings? What overnight job interferes with DAYTIME/EARLY EVENING meetings? What Saturday job interferes with WEEKDAY/AM or PM meetings? What Sunday scheduled job interferes with the ability to love Jehovah with heart, soul, and mind while obeying the Scriptural requirement to provide for family at 1Timothy 5:8? (Incidentally another solution to any mind control 'conflicting' minimum wage weekend work schedules is the honorable college education that has been discouraged by the Watchtower/WBTS).

I guess having a beg-a-thon out there where everyone could see it wasn't really all that good an idea, especially in light of all the kingdom halls sold since 2015. And let's not even mention the csa payouts.

Listen carefully, suggestions of giving our personal belongings as donation to an organization that doesn't share where does the money go. All the money goes to one place...on the donation box it says different locations for needed money. Really, it goes to one place than sent were it's needed. But who's to say where it really goes. Do you know, do you? Is it to give the unfortunate who suffers from their homes being destroyed or lack of clothes, food, etc. Or is it our own brothers and sisters giving us and not the governing body. It's insane listening to Lett on contribution. I noticed the body language at 15:10 in this video when he rubs his nose speaking, this is a sign of deceit cos he's doubtful what he is saying and uncomfortable or rejecting the idea.

I remember when the literature went to the donation basis. I ran the literature counter. The amount of literature that was ordered, sets of bound volumes, that were too expensive to order ,suddenly everyone had to have the bound volumes, for decades past. The money never came in. I knew that was the end. The JWs were a book publishing company, now they couldn't sell anything. People being People, Free is always better.

Been out for 5 years, they really turn up the heat on money. After your baptized. I've seen many families go into poverty by these scalpers.

This organization has leaders appointed directly by the lord almighty! That is a bold statement. Basically this talking is blasphemy in my opinion. Happy that I left 30+ years ago.
