I liked shhay maybe next time you could do merg he know Undertale/deltarune kinda he do videos about secrets about games and I know he missed with files from gameplay stand point he dose rom hacks not fangames rom hacks he dose one every ch so he know the basics so I would enjoy seeing him on the podcast
@@maxmore1911 YESSS i agree merg would be awesome to have on i love him so muchhhh- also CibblesGD would be cool to have too, she does a load of UT and DR stuff!!
@@andrew_cunningham Sorry man, but I didn't even consider that it could have been meant to be anything but the X Files theme until reading this comment lmfao
That was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Nikola Tesla, Aviator Papyrus, Emo boy, Nerdy Ganondorf, a light blue soul suspended in a tube, Kirby and a speedrunner frog trying and failing to guess what a white dog is thinking of putting into his quirky, Mother inspired, RPG that's due to fully release in 2054.
Can we just appreciate the fact that these guys managed to produce a full, multi-hour podcast where one of the participants can only communicate using text-to-speech? When this was announced, i wondered how Bread would be able to participate, but this ended up being wonderful
Yeah, the "Sans is from Deltarune" theory has quite a bit of weight behind when you take into account his Ice-E word search in Undertale, his bedroom door being the same as the field teleport doors, his shop just being a remodeled Grillby's, the "Don't Forget" photo in his lab, and his dialogue about wanting to return home during his fight.
The "don't forget" photo is basically smoking gun at this point. The only question is the circumstances surrounding it who the three people actually are (Kris and Susie are shoo-ins, but is the third Noelle? Ralsei, somehow?)
@@ExaltedUriel It’s a drawing, and I think that it’s either one a young Papyrus drew of himself with Kris and Susie, or a quickly made sketch of the Fun Gang (those smiles not being happy ones so much as, perhaps, DETERMINED ones) right around the time of the Roaring
I’ve had this weird idea for a little while, if you can make darkners from the dead, can you open a dark foundation by stabbing someone? Would they die? Would their mind/ imagination become apart of it? Would the rest of their body also be apart of it? What about their soul? Would there be darkners based off of imaginary friends, organs, memories, emotions, bones, etc?
Um Actually, Queen herself says that you can only make a dark fountain by stabbing the ground. (Though it may also be possible to do such whilst laying down, in which case the person probably would just be encorporated as a character.)
@@JaruJaruJ I know its way late now to say, but I always imagined that Rudy's infection, if it is as bad as we think it is, has the potential to turn into a Darkner, said Darkner either being A. Nigh unbeatable. B. Some sort of infection to the dark world itself or C. Actually just like a roaming grim reaper type thing that just goes up to Noelle and says "Hey, I'm sorry, it is what it is, there's nothing you can do to stop it".
41:45 I've had this theory ever since h2 released actually : WE know Kris, Azzy, Noëlle and dess used to explore the forest near the graveyard when they were younger, and since Kris seems to have History with the Bunker based on his reaction in Ch2 and how MK mentions him when discussing the stories surrounding the Bunker, I think they explored it and made an interesting encounter. Kris got away, but not Dess. Whatever happened, i'd like to point out that Dess' current status is oddly similar to The Doctor's (barely mentioned, only acknowledged by 1 character, everything related to her has been "removed" like her icee page). You could Say that if that were true, Noëlle would mention it but she clearly has a tendancy to "lock" herself and go into a sort of denial so It's possible she's just doing that with the Bunker Incident. I'm also willing to bet that this Incident is what cost Asgore his Job and the reason why The Dreemurr and Holyday families grew apart : the mayor mobilized all police forces but they didn't find dess, thus, she removed Asgore from the force (she'd probably blame the Dreemurr's for the dissapearance). It's even possible Asgore took the blame for Kris. The way the narration says there's no point in reading the article at the station gives off a feeling of guilt regarding the events. Hell, the Bunker Incident might even be what led to Toriel and Asgore's divorce
I think the bunker dark world and the closet one are the same dark world, and the bunker dark world only recently decided to breach into the closet. I say this as the beginning parts of the closet dark world give off primordial vibes, so it's probably pretty old. Perhaps the bunker is connected to an ancient cave system, which could potentially be connected to the ocean.
This entire series is the epitome of what the deltarune theory fandom should be about. I used to talk to people about stuff like videogame lore and theories often so this definitely warms my heart. It'll be great hearing all of your interesting theories when the next chapters come out!
How amazing would it be if this became a series or an accuall podcast. Ngl it would probably be extremely hard to get everyone there at the same time frequently. Anyhow this was extremely fun to watch and I love how it ended on everyone putting in crack pot theories. I also love how all the deltatubers all collabed together Only sad part is spam tong part 2 is postponed for a bit.
Tbh probably we won't have that much Deltarune Content to make a podcast like this a regular thing. What will they talk about throughout the year, the small ammount of information we have to go of will already be discussed to death in their respective channels so it probably won't let much for other Deltacast, so i would personally understand this being a yearly instalment from when we get the bigger updates
Dubious Count in the whole 6 parts of the podcast: 4...a lot less than I thought lol Also loved this whole podcast, great job to everyone in this! I love how everyone tried not to talk over each other, especially trying not to talk over Bread
This was an absolute blast. Thank you so much to everyone for participating in it. It made me love all of the creators even more The only thing I didn’t like is how much 2 left thumbs got dumped on lol. Not in the sense that they were being unfair with their critiques, though. It’s actually the exact opposite: they were completely right and now I can’t trust one of the creators I used to most respect and it makes me a bit sad lol. if that makes sense
Oh I wouldn't say you can't trust them. They still make great content, they just have some interpretations that we don't agree with. We could absolutely be wrong and he could be right for all we know. xD
@@JaruJaruJ Yeah I agree with you. I said “trust” for lack of a better word but yeah even if some of his theories are inaccurate he still does a great job compiling stuff
This is downright the best podcast I’ve heard, so many ideas from all seven in you! Can’t wait until these ideas might come into play when chapter 3-5 comes out hehe
Because of spamton sweepstakes, I started watching a lot of deltarune content again, and then found out many of the UT/DR creators that I've been following were going to make a podcast together. I just finished listening to it all and i loved it, from the ridiculous theories to the tts shenanigans with bread, i had a really good time, so thank you guys for doing this, I hope that when chapter 3 and 4 comes out you do something similar again. Also the art was super good
4:14 Another very minor thing about Sans and Darkner parallels is that in his fight, he (seems to) get tired, much like how Darkner enemies can be pacified by putting them to sleep first. The same Z that Sans displays when he's sleeping is shown on Darkners when Pacify is used (e.g. when Ralsei shows up in the Cyber World). Like it was said, there is a non-zero chance of Sans and Darkner shenanigans afoot, but him being a bonafide Darkner isn't mega likely. But there's something there.
No, that's it, why be like "oh Spamton and Jevil used to date", why not be like "Spamton used to date Jevil, Mike and Swatch". That's at least what Tumblr thinks and I find it hilarious. I genuinely like the idea.
Finally got through all 6 parts and by God I had a fantastic time. Seeing a game I hold so dear and close to my heart be this deeply discussed between multiple individuals who are as passionate about it is great. Lots of interesting stuff being proposed here and there, especially liked and took a lot from the Dess discussion and Noelle as well. As well as the speculation on what might come from chapter 3 and 4, mike-tenna discussion as well did help clear out some misunderstandings I had of that bit which was also very helpful. And on the podcast itself, god I loved the chemistry, yall were jumping of eachother well, it could get messy at times but it brought me back to the release of chapter 2 when I spent hours on vc discussing everything with friends, a lot of fun right there. The variety of content each one produces as well, with that bit at the end exemplifying it perfectly, I love the 3 hour long videos, I love the 30 minute analysis, and I love the 6 min bite sized content (which tbf are normal, my perception has just been completely warped due to mostly consuming long form content lmao). I hope we get to have something like this for other chapters or events in the game again, it was a lot of fun. PS: I adore the art, all the sonas and videogame characters, and then Nikola Tesla, it's fantastic, props to the artist!!
4:56 I will say this whenever I see it, Sans bleeds because he is struck in the chest, where bone marrow produces and stores blood. Papyrus doesn’t bleed because he is struck in the neck, where there is little to no bone marrow.
Gosh, I have never heard anyone suggest a Darkworld in the graveyard would occur, but it sounds so interesting. I am pretty curious to see how a Darkworld would interact with monster dust, would they be similar to Flowey mentally?
28:25 I definitely think that the graveyard could be a dark world. It could be the Deltarune equivalent to the True Lab. This dark world could re-introduce the amalgamates as possible Flowey clones. It could dump a lot of lore. And of course, the Ice-e pizza box could be a possible enemy. I think if there is a church dark world then the graveyard will be a part of it but it can only be accessed by a certain route.
this podcast was SO much fun to listen to. itd be the coolest thing if you guys ever did this again, maybe after the next chapter drops idk i know these kind of videos require a lot of work and stuff so i understand if its not possible but yeah. I loved everyones vibes and seeing all my fav utdr yt channels come together and make a really long video that i could watch while i draw was like a dream come true fr
Woah. Took me all day long to watch everything since I had to do other stuff and gotta say; it was well worth it. Loved this podcast, shame that Shayy couldn't stay longer, and now we have a precedent for a Jaru theory less than 30 minutes long XD. But jokes aside, love your videos Jaru, and the Deltacast was amazing, thx everyone involved for that
i watched the whole podcast and you guys made some great points! i don't think it was in part 6 but the theory about how kris uses piano playing as a way to channel their emotions is actually really interesting. also it was really helpful that there was a little monitor showing all the images so i didn't have to go and look them up, you guys did a great job!
I've always had a crack theory that at some point in the game you'll either have to "exploit" the game by going to a chapter you're not supposed to be able to go to (E.G. Chapter 0 or something, which would then take place before the events of the story IG which would explain tons of things) or you'll have to abuse the chapter system a lot in an almost puzzle-cubian way where in order to get some code or figure out more secrets almost like Outer Wilds or something you'll have to skip to a certain Chapter on a new save file and try a bunch of different things regarding the gamestate and the flags and the variables and whatnot.
I think the fact that there is discussion about Jevil and Spamton having "something" for a part of this video just traumazited me forever! I'll be at my 80's lying on my death bed with my Spamton and i'll say to him: "You're free from the clown now!"
It took me kind of long to listen to all parts but I payed attention to all, this is very well done. You have all kind of ideas and the way you complement each other ideas was fun and very informative. It would be cool to repeat this after the next release!
y'all know town blocks are usually two lots or more deep, right? bless you, love you, but those different buildings in the load transition are probably just unimportant houses on the same blocks as the diner and store lmao. Same thing as the like 5 inches of dining room table y'all were so interested in earlier
I actually thought your theory at the end about the Titans being Darkners made out of earth is really cool and even possible. If the world is consumed in many dark fountains, then of course the items turned into Darkners would be pretty much everything, and then there’ll be so many dark fountains opened that the Titans would be able to affect the Light World. Just a really awesome theory all around!
19:00 wake up and taste the pain, it appears in spamton neo's check, it's one of the first line in undertale as well as the placeholder text in undertale, it's also a what toby twitted the day undertale released(albeit slightly changed, instead of tasting pain it told you to smell the daffodiles) and it's also what toby twitted the day the undertale demo released (though it also was slightly changed there too) this line is heavily tied to undertale and I think the implication is that the spamton neo armor was part of the presumably undertale project that asriel was working on you guys should really try to watch captain hype's videos, he dug really deep into the whole undertale fact and theory world, and it's kinda painful to see you guys ignore all the work he's done and have you guys try to rebuild from scratch some of the solid theory model he made just because of the language barrier
Just finished with this whole series, and it was great fun to listen to while I was working all day! Now it's got my brain buzzing with Deltarune ideas, and I've got a bunch of new channels to check out! Thanks guys!!
Hmmm the talk about how Dark Worlds seemingly all always exist but can also be created + Gaster not being “forgotten” but specifically lost across space and *time* gave me a thought- what if there’s only “one” ending because it’s a timeloop? That to stop possessing Kris the player must necessarily Stop Playing and otherwise this week just happens over and over again. Maybe the reason the relationship with Us seems so strained, Kris didn’t choose this partnership before the story but at the end of it.
Thank you to everyone who worked on the podcast! I enjoyed it a lot and the final ending part was hilarious. I love deltarune theory stuff and I could not describe the joy I had when I saw all of you gathering together to make this collab happen. It was really fun to watch, I hope everyone have a great day!
my only weird dream related to deltarune is the fact that i dreamed that, with no alterations other than the stylistic change from pixel art to 3D, jevil would be in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet as a nighttime encounter who would do his hopping back and forth animation on the sea/lake. i saw him in an alpharad deluxe video on the games and then as i scrolled through other videos i saw a video on pokemon i can find at nighttime that had jevil in the thumbnail and i was like "haha i already knew that" and then i considered putting him on my team and i was like "wait what if spamton's a pokemon i might want him on my team instead... nah, a clown suits me better."
Wow. All of this podcast, it was amazing! Seeing everyone just talk about Deltarune, well, thank you so much for doing this! I'm not sure what to type but I want to leave a comment so just know I really enjoyed it and it was very [[HYPERKINK BLOCKED]]
God, what a great podcast episode! I loved the whole thing, and it actually made me realize a few things regarding Deltarune; especially regarding Dess and her being hidden within the strings of code, and to find her, you 'play' them to make them 'ring'/be seen. Overall, the whole thing was really fun! Tbh, if you guys decided to do a podcast episode like this again, maybe you guys could do it for when Deltarune chapters 3,4, &5 eventually get released? I would absolutely watch that, I will say that right now.
@14:11 I do think Spamton is maybe the most tragic character we've met so far... Even though he initially just seems like a weird joke. It's not super clear what exactly the voice on the other end of the phone told him, but I have to imagine going from feeling like you have control over your own circumstances to feeling utterly trapped and broken was crushing for him and maybe contributed to him ending up the way he is... and maybe this is a super obvious ice cold take but I read that as, with the help of whoever he was talking to (maybe Gaster?) he was able to gain some insight into how the world worked and control it for his own ends, but without that he wound up just being a pawn of "fate"/the game's programming depending on what meta-level you're looking at it xD If that happened to me in real life, like if I learned everything was predetermined and then gained and then lost the ability to act outside of fate, I'd probably end up weird and scary too LOL Also I totally ship him and Jevil :P We need more problematic gay relationships in media lol or just gay relationships in general also (I'm just gonna keep editing this comment and adding thoughts as I listen idk if anyone will read this or respond but it's ok either way lol) @23:07 I honestly figured Mettaton's relationship with the robot was that he was researching online some way to get a body... We know from Undertale that it's at least seriously implied that he was a ghost, right? And he lives with Mad Dummy in Deltarune (Napstablook might live there too I'm not sure) which also makes it seem like he's a ghost even if we never actually see his ghost form. So that's kinda what I guessed, was just that he researched stuff online from home and it found its way into the computer lab at some point... Maybe because Alphys is a teacher in this world and not a scientist, it never made it past the idea phase. The internet is down at the time of Chapter 2 so it would have had to have been accessed sometime before Chapter 2 starts (which is why Swatch says it was a long, long time ago). @33:07 I hadn't really considered this before listening to earlier parts of this podcast but given the strange way of finding eggs, and also how the weird route feels like "breaking the game", it would be pretty cool if future weird routes, if there are any, required increasingly obscure ways of messing with the game to access. Like changing between save files, or wrong warps, or something like that. Almost like diagetic glitches :P I love that idea tbh Also (I forget what time this was at, I think I forgot to save my comment last time I edited it so I'm redoing it) I agree with the whole Mother 3 comparison, with all the talk in that game about what happens at the end reflecting what's in the heart of the person who pulls the needles, and what with Lucas being a silent protagonist for most of the game, it does draw easy parallels with Kris... Actually the whole "whoever you control is a silent protagonist and that creates tension" thing feels very much like a development of how Mother 3 did it. That also makes me think the "one chapter totally in the dark world, one chapter totally in the light world" theory is likely, because of how Mother 3 structured itself in a way where one of the chapters was essentially just a beautiful, short intermission/break between two of the longest chapters in the game... I wouldn't be surprised if Toby took inspiration from that idea and had a chapter where we could just walk around and talk to people and figure out some backstory/lore stuff. As for my crackpot prediction for where the game is gonna go... I do wonder if seeking out the secret bosses might actually not be the best thing for Kris :P Considering that so far Jevil was a little off and creepy but Spamton really unsettled them, it might be a case of the closer they get to realizing aspects of their world's true nature, the more bad it is for them. Kind of Lovecraftian in a way. If Kris finds out too much about the nature of the world and things being predetermined it might be really hard for them to deal with... Although then again, it's possible that they already know, since they're the ones who told Susie and Ralsei to let them see Spamton alone, we didn't do that (it's a contrast to when you see Onion-san again, and Kris doesn't tell Susie to leave, she leaves on her own)... Maybe they hoped they could learn more from Spamton. idk
This was fun! On sans bleeding and Papyrus not, my working theory is there was a Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood scenario they went through. They were both humans and Papyrus died. In order to bring his brother back as a monster, sans sacrifices his determination. Papyrus becomes fully a monster yet sans is in between, he's a human with a complete lack of determination. I think it fits with what we have now but there isn't much to go on anyways.
I have a crack theory. You know how in Asgore's shop he has all those colored flowers with a golden flower in the center, supposedly as a reference to Omega Flowey? My schizo theory is that, as the other flowers represent a human SOUL, the golden flower represents a human SOUL as well - Kris's original soul. They lost their soul, and we're going to find their golden SOUL at the end of the game and swap with them, finally giving Kris the autonomy to go completely be their own person again.
I love all of you, thanks for a great sake filled night. I wish I could be up there with you, seems like fun, but unlike all of you, I haven't put in the work in passion to deserve it. You all clearly love this stuff after all 6 parts and good lord you have surprisingly good synergy for such a diverse group. Please make this a more than once thing. Thanks for the videos, god bless toby.
27:32 we open a dark world in the hospital, Noelle has a chance to heal her dad but on the weird route she's in a snowgrave trance run and kills him maybe not realizing it was him or something
By the way jaru I am disappointing you. When you were talking about pink and yellow you failed to mention the fact that you can change the name of sparable monsters from yellow to pink. 😂 I thought you would bring it up at least
Excited to watch this big analysis video! Thanks so much for uploading! Will probably comment more later! 1:32 It is interesting. Does he go from fearing & wanting to warn about to feigning ignorance out of fear? But if this takes place after Kris asks in the shop, when does this take place? If they beat Spamton NEO, how can he be answering questions? 2:05 Wait, so the Sweepstakes questioning takes place BEFORE Spamton can become Spamton NEO? 3:43 Lol. 4:04 Oh yeah. 4:48 Who was Dorked saying for "He does"? Sans does bleed? 5:05 Lol. 7:18 One of the weird things about this is the only game we know of Jevil playing is the "If your HP drops to 0, you lose" game. Maybe this was before he got into that? 8:22 Lol, HalfBreadChaos. 9:52 Interesting. 11:00 Lol. & hilarious, though, Spamton says it looks delicious & cheap, implying he might do it himself. If this takes place before NEO.... 11:19 Weird. 12:12 Lol, wow. 12:21 Lol. 16:20 Lol. 17:55 Lol. 18:00 Lol. 18:13 Poor HalfBreadChaos.... 19:15 Lol. 20:36 An insect in the unused classroom? 21:02 Lol, this part. 21:55 Lol. 31:13 Lol. 32:21 Hunh. 32:55 Lol. 33:40 Lol. Maybe? Kris DOES intentionally try to hide things from the player. But running down a whole street without even providing a look? Do they run down it with their eyes shut? 34:20 Maybe? 34:34 Lol. 35:53 Lol. 37:47 That'd be interesting! 38:08 "Spamton project"? 39:54 Lol. 42:34 What did HalfBreadChaos say here? "I J S U T N"? Anyway, what a great analysis video series! Once again, so glad you all came together for this, & I'm eager to see what you all make of your thoughts in this! Thanks so much for uploading! Subscrbed! Also, I should've said this earlier, but I appreciate the handheld signs the avatars got to make it clearer who's who.
42:34 Haha I think I remember this. When my Vessel starts running out of HP (because I need to eat or sleep) I make a LOT of typos. Just a ton of them. This is the final part, and I was getting to that point, so I believe I tried to say something like "I just made a video memeing about mother 3" but I spelled it "I jsut n ade a video about it." or something like that. Then the TTS started lagging AND DC'd mid-sentence and I was like "That sentence was already a trainwreck, I'm find with it getting lost." The moral of the story is to have planned snack-breaks and such before you start streaming/podcasting, especially when your vessel is as fragile as mine is. But for some reason I assumed a party of 6-7 people, others would suggest snack breaks at some point, lol. That was my bad, you know what happens when we ASSume.
@@HalfBreadChaos Ahhh lol. In your position, I might just have food & drink where I podcast, but I can understand that can get a lot less neat than some prefer. Thanks so much for answering! Hopefully you get those breaks in the future; Might also be good for when viewers want to use the bathroom, &/or get food & drinks of their own. & lol about the assuming. No worries!
That was such a joy to listen to! A few hours of everyone gushing and theorizing over the Spamton Sweepstakes is just what I needed. Maybe the Deltacast can return once Toby drops another bomb shell on us, it would definetely ease my brainrotten mind!
6:17 Jevil: My exdarkner still misses me but his aim is getting better Meanwhile spamton: Give [[Kromer 1997]] to be come a BIGSHOT and obtain the [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]
on the topic of where future Dark Worlds might be opened, and the idea of what might happen with Rudy's illness, I had the idea that maybe he takes a turn for the worse and someone (likely Kris) opens a Dark Fountain in an attempt to try and figure out a way to heal him. hell, considering Rudy and Asgore are pretty good friends, I could see him ending up in this hypothetical hospital-themed Dark World - especially if the Chapter Three theorizing is true and Toriel will play a big part there, since the two chapters would give us more insight into the Dreemur household. maybe it could have an overall theme of coming to terms with the loss of a loved one, in one way or another - Noelle losing Rudy through death, Asgore losing Toriel through their marriage falling apart, and new characters going through their own struggles with loss in one way or another. for bonus points, this could be what happens in Chapter Four, since the Japanese word for four sounds like the Japanese word for death and is seen as a bad omen (and we all know Toby's a bit of a weeb, lol). it would be fitting for a more serious story in a more somber location to happen in Chapter Four. of course this is all just a crackpot theory I thought up about 28 minutes into the video lmao, I really don't expect any of this to happen. still, I think it's an interesting idea and might play into the whole 'reanimation' aspect you guys talked about, to some extent. EDIT: listened to the end, this is now my crackpot theory lmao
Fantastic podcast, but I need help understanding some paranormal phenomenon. I don't know why, but I think I have some kind of ESP mental link with Deltarune RU-vid, because whenever I start thinking about something, a Deltatuber will mention it in passing during a video of theirs. I reminisce about Undertale and remember how I got the Toriel death freeze-frame, then a week later HalfBreadChaos makes a video about it. I start thinking about Flowey's struggle with losing all feeling for the people he loved, even considering that perhaps Chara struggled with similar issues in life, later noting how Toriel and Asgore had a fairly limited parenting method that likely didn't help, then Dorked makes a video discussing that very topic. I learn about the fundamental tenet of the philosophy of Objectivism and a day later they Andrew Cunningham jokingly references it in a video. Finally I start watching the incredible mid to late 90's detective show Columbo, and then 3 days later when they're wrapping up the podcast they have to sneak in a Columbo visual gag when they say: "just one more thing." Can someone explain this to me? Why am I thinking and learning about the same things as these videos right before they go public? And why does it only happen with people who talk about Deltarune?
People with similar interests will end up using their spare time thinking about very similar things, and thus are more likely to come to similar conclusions, or have similar thoughts. There's still a lot of variance in that, which is what makes discussion interesting because everyone has a slightly different lens through which they view everything, but the bottom line is that when given the same subject of interest, people will tend to follow similar trains of thought, especially if their mind works similarly to yours.
that was actually so fun to watch, i never stopped to listen to a podcast and actually payed attention to it without having to do 7 other things (and i have adhd so that's a massive deal) i hope that can happen again :) maybe when chapter 3 comes out?
I had a dream about playing chapter 3 and ending up in a weird zone based on the unfinished game on Asriel's computer. The zone basically acted like its own game with its own rules and visual style, being a sidescrolling platformer taking place deep inside a dimly lit machine with metal pipes and smoke everywhere, and you could switch between the characters in your party but only one would show on screen at once. Also Berdly was part of the party for some reason. Anyways, I think that Asriel's computer is probably going to manifest somehow in chapter 3's dark world, and Asriel's unfinished game is a pretty good candidate for the chapter 3 secret boss in my opinion, it fits the theme of discarded items since it's an abandoned project that Asriel put a lot of work into. It could take a form similar to the God of Hyperdeath, and there's even potential foreshadowing for that, _however_ if it did then we'd have two secret bosses in a row who take the form of winged ocs digitally drawn by lightners, which would be a little silly. A crackpot theory for sure, and I only even considered it because of a weird dream I had, but I've seen very little discussion about how Asriel's computer might affect the dark world, especially considering that the existence of Queen is precedent for computers turning into fairly powerful darkners.
37:18 I have two opinions about the element system: 1. Elements do come in pairs, but that means they deal the same type of damage, not that they are always found together in enemies. Spamton is just [PUPPET], and that happens to deal the same damage type as [CAT]. Some enemies then have multiple elements but that's unrelated, like Tasque being [CAT:ELEC], therefore dealing the same damage as an hypothetical [PUPPET:HOLY]. 2. Jevil is indeed [SCYTHE] type. The [CHAOS:CHAOS] thing is clearly a joke since it can only be found through glitches, and in Japanese it's written as [Kaosuda yo:Kaosuda ne] making it clear that's only a reference to his dialogue. Plus it makes sense for Spamton to warn us about Jevil since he seems to hate him. I'm sure Halfbread will cover all of this soon anyway.
8:05 One thing to note is that Chara fell when it was 201X and Undertale's main plot is in 202X (well that could've been a few year's timeskip), so Asriel's age by then would've been in his 20s. I think.
I think King is supposed to represent Susie's own bullying facade, not her father. That is the reason the two share the "quiet people piss me off" moment. King became how he is due to being abandoned by the Lightners, and likewise Susie became a bully because she felt rejected by the monsters of Hometown. Lancer in turn could represent Susie's innocence and drive to be rebellious and unique, and King is the stifling of that innocence caused by the outside world treating them poorly. Chapter 1 is all about Susie realizing the harm her being a bully does to others and herself, and ends with her essentially fighting off that part of herself. Susie then continues to have this strong hatred of King, because she sees her own flaws in him.
I know you said you regret introducing yourself as a fanfic author for this, but fanfiction author is a perfectly legitimate line of business - if anything, fanfics are more interesting than theory, which is (arguably too) shackled to the facts in a way that limits it heavily. Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of your Dead Asriel AU!
Can't believe it took me 4 months to get around to listening to this, well worth it. Hope the gang can get back together once the next set of chapters are out!
