"The Deltic Borderer" Railtour at Wallyford and Edinburgh (ft. 55009/D9009 "Alycidon") -- 9/4/16 

Newly repainted at RVEL Derby , Class 55 Deltic No. D9009 "Alycidon" made it on to the mainline on a tour between the York and Tweedbank section (DB Schenker 67015 hauled the train from Derby before that). So I headed down to Wallyford to catch it at speed and it didn't fail to entertain...
Then I headed back to Edinburgh after some filming at Wallyford to catch it arriving back from Tweedbank and then departing with the Empties for Craigentinny, where it would rest for a few hours before forming the evening train back to York (with the 67 again continuing on to Derby.)
