Almost done, only MIDI and CV videos left to watch, let's go! I slowed down a little bit because I was experimenting all the things you teached me on my Deluge, and also because you made me curious about modular as well... damn you..! I played a bit with VCV Rack, it's absolutely amazing, very powerful, intuitive and fun to use, and free! Can't wait to watch to watch your Deluge's MIDI and CV video, lots of ideas blooming in my head! I didn't find your Deluge's workflow videos you mentionned, are they yet to be released, if the idea still holds up? And btw, i don't know where the rumour about the Deluge's synth engine sounding bad comes from, but clearly not from someone who has actually heard it. It's actually badass what it can do with only 2 oscillators! Thanks again for everything mate, keep sharing, i'll keep watching :) Have a wonderful Christmas with your family! Take care
Thanks man! I'm glad you're enjoying the series. The workflow series got put on hold, and I talk about it at the start of the CV video, which only released recently. In terms of the synth engine, I think a lot of the presets are what turn people off. They're all pretty loud tbh. However, just like ableton presets, they're decided to be tweaked, and you can get some amazing sounds out of it. Also, glad you're enjoying modular! I explore it a lot on the MIDI video and even use VCV rack in it! The CV video used AE Modular though. All really great machines!
I just hooked my ipad to the line in on my deluge and went through the entire video while replicating what you're doing here on my unit. As someone who's done a fair share of tutorials back in my day I gotta say: excellent work on this one!
Nice, that's awesome dude! I can't seem to find an adapter that lets me send midi to my iPad pro while getting audio out of it. I've tried a couple but it seems to only let me have one or the other :/
Thanks so much! I use a Panasonic Lumix G7. It's a pretty good camera for the money. Mirrorless and packed with tonnes of cool (but mostly useless) features lol. I mainly got it because it shoots in 4k for extended periods of time. That said, if I had to do it all again, I'd probably get the Lumix G5 mk II or sometime like that, because unfortunately the G7 only shoots in MP4, which makes colour correction a bit of a hassle. The G5 mk II shoots in LOG, and that's where it's at ;)
Big thx for your work on this tutorial, these are well done and very helpful (finally let me join on discord :-) What is your source for waves? I like to recreate that patch on 21:10 ...so wonderful, based on "esw metallic bell" at 7:15?
*sigh...no. It's honestly the feature I want it to do the most. I could go without any other feature added to this thing, except for that. The announcement of the new screen I've paid the deposit to send mine back in for a refit, but yeah, not the feautre I was really after. Unless the Deluge can one day send audio over USB, I get the feeling that it won't be able to batch export stems. Hope to be proven wrong some day though. Also, if they're able to fit a new screen, here's hoping that one day they let you replace the wooding cheaks with 8 seperate inputs and outputs on each side haha.
@@RSKT_music it’s the only reason I got the mpc over it, but I do know they been great with updates and a good company. plus I think they have one if not the best sequencers out in hardware. speaker 🔊 could be better but l hear the onboard mic ok hopefully 🙏 they do add it though.
Yeah I can understand that man. MPC does looks like a lot of fun though! Fortunately you CAN technically export stems inf you really want you, but it means you have to solo each track and export them that way. Bit of a long winderd process, which sucks.
