Excellent quality video. Great content. Took you 11:49 to get to the intended content tho. LOL. Been practicing 14 years. Still using 3.5s but done with the wire. Gonna go wireless. Having neck pain last 6months so looking into correcting my posture and shopping for new loupes. (Using SurgiTel TTL with wired light. They work great but decided to increase the mag and work on the inclination.) I have heard that flip-ups (never tried them) are good to be able to control the inclination. Thanks for excellent content and quality.

Just received my first set of loupes as a D1. I did a ton of research on here and SDN and decided to buy Q Optics 4.5x TTL prisms. Super happy with my decision. The sports frames are crazy light, comfortable and titanium. The angle of declination they put into these loupes is also amazing (48 degrees on mine) and it makes working with good posture sooooo easy. I did all of my waxing with my dads old 2.5x surgitels and so far the jump to 4.5x mag hasn’t been frustrating. Also the customer service from these people is insane. Always friendly and always accessible by phone. When I sent my loupes in for adjustment they paid for overnight shipping both ways. Q optics is just doing everything right.

Hi, could you share some thoughts on the field width of that 4.5x loupes? im looking to buy a q-optics ttl prism as well, but having concern which magnification be the best. thanks in advance!

i just ordered a 4.0x TTL prismatic with the eclipse frames. I felt the 4 was the perfect balance over their other options. I wanted the 4.5 but its just not worth the extra .5x with all the drawbacks factored in. You have to deal with considerably less light going through the lens, extra weight , and nearly half the field of view vs the 4.0.

Can you suggest wired headlight brands that are good quality but cheaper than the branded ones?

I'm curious now with the virus / cross contamination needs - would a wired light be more reasonable because of hands free on - off?

Thanks for the Video , i use a 3.2 TTL and thinking of upgrading to 4 or 4.5 or 5 X Univet TTL , i am intending to use them for Restorative and Endodontics procedure , What Magnification you think I should go for . Thanks

Why anyone would you a product that does not have declination of at least 40 degrees. You are doing yourself harm letting your neck support the weight of your head and not your body!

I’m a hygienist that has been using loupes for 20 years at 2.5. I added a light about 10 years ago. I feel like I need to upgrade but don’t know what magnification I should go to. Any suggestions?

I find my x 3.8 a good all around magnification!

I went from Surgitel Flip-up 2.5x in dental school to Orascoptic 2.5x and lots of issues. DFV 3.5 expanded field is the one to get. I have been using DFV 3.5x expanded field for 8 years. I have sent it back for repairs 3 times and DFV has excellent service. I have been using DFV nano lite for about 5 years and it's way better than the Sheervision(junk). The new DFV wireless light seems good but is WAY overpriced. It's not really "wireless" like it has bluetooth or wifi connection. It's just a flash light with replaceable batteries.

BlueTenorSax How much did the DFV 3.5x EF cost you? Would you know how much is the DFV New 3.5x Panoramic Loupes cost.? The DFV rep would not reply to my inquiries because I’m not from the states. Tnx.
