I hated that Billy died, too sad, but no complaints about this film. That said, one of my favorite parts was when Billy sees Queenan fall and land right in front of him, he's crying and panicking, then the criminal assholes come out and see him, and he has to instantly conceal his emotions about Queenan dying, a man who was basically becoming like a father to him. Incredibly well acted and directed film.
I never understood why when Queenan unsnaps his gun, knowing what was going to happen, he didn't htake up a position behind cover and begin shooting as soon as the elevator opened.
It seems like Jack Nicholson is giving the actor a dressing down and this part of the scene was improvised. But it was so good that it was used in the movie.
Matt Damon has had a lot of shit over the years with people saying he had a crappy role (some were true) but you can't deny how good he was in the movie. This is without a doubt my favourite Matt Damon performance.
I think the Wahlberg character made a mistake in the last scene by having his hat off at any time in the apartment. A strand of hair falls off and that is DNA. Yeah, it’s a movie, I know that
@@Aaron_Scissorhands I’m guessing they tried it with the hat on, but perhaps Scorsese decided artistically it looked better with Wahlberg having his hat off
Good job. Although, you should have added the scene in the beginning where the chick's shot in the head from behind at the beach and the guy's like, "She fell funny." Classic.
Yeah, they're all amazing . But personally I love the scene with Billy's short conversation with his uncle, every Marc Wahlberg comment and the rat - walk.
1 in 10 Massachusetts State Police officers made more than the governor (2007)year, with 225 officers topping the $140,535 annual salary of the state's chief executive. The irish mafia does not need to commit crimes to make money. They need to work for the state.
“Unfortunately the shit hole has more fuckin leaks than the Iraqi Navy” “Go fuck ya self” “I’m tired from fuckin ya wife” “How’s ya mother” “Good she’s tired from fucking my father” Lmfaoo Mark Walberg was born for this role
Leo: Fuck you! Fuck you! and fuck im arresting you! Matt: thats the stupidest thing you could do. Leo: SHUT THE FUCK UP!! 2:32 ......... This movie is so awesome!! aggggghhhhh ITS SO AWESOME!!
What most don't think about is this.. staff sergeant digham went missing after his captain was murdered. He didn't quit. Now that the key players are dead he can reemerge and continue being a cop.
Automatic weapons. U better tell Bruce Lee and the karate kid if they wanna nuke Taiwan anytime soon they better show me 1 million American dollars, no tickey no laundry
I didn't get this movie at all...it felt complexity for the sake of it. What's the point of a mob boss being an informant and then having zillion other informants and wasting resources to track down the informant... Like keeping in check the own department but for what purpose when the bait they're tracking doesn't need to be tracked.
na, if you watch the rooftop scene leo says that he told mark about damon being the rat. for some reason mark wasnt there and when he found out that leo died he knew matt killed him, and in return shot him in da head :P
I always assumed that Dignam didn't know 100% that it was him, but had a strong suspicion, but that Billy's reaction to seeing him there was conformation that he was the rat Billy was done, he had been through hell, he had no fight left in him anymore. So when he just said ".... okay..." Dignam got the last piece of conformation. And that's that. (Because had Billy been innoccent he would have wondered why the fuck Dignam was there, or he would have made the assumption that Dignam was the rat etc)
