The Depressing Downfall of Titanfall.... 

As a member of the titanfall community I was astonished at this because I thought that the game died out but now I have more hope.

I worked on Titanfall 2 at the QA deaprtment. It was one of the few games I actually enjoyed playing off time.

4:18 did my man just say "learn from there mistakes", I have never heard a game company do that before.

Nwxt time you play attrition, remember you can use your data knife to hack enemy specters. When you hack one, it hacls the whole group and when they get kills it adds to your score!

I desperately want to have hope that we'll get a new game, but after the "titanfall legends" fiasco and Apex's current state (abysmal balance team, monetization ($360 melee weapon skin!?)) my hopes are slowly withering away. EA and Respawn seem to only care about a bottom line. Quality has gone out the window, and the original team who made the games left a long time ago.

Funny how in the trailer a Titan randomly shoots off a traffic sign when in reality, everyone who ever played a Titanfall game knows what kind of impassable bastions those represent to your 7 meter tall war machine... almost as feared as Beelzebarrier, the unconquerable ankle-high wall of despair!

the thing that really crushes any hope of titanfall 3 for me is knowing that a lot of key members of respawn aren't even there anymore and have made their own studio called wildlight entertainment

It's strange how every game made on some type of source engine never gets an actual third game, but only a spinoff.

I will never forget getting to go to EA Play 2016, my dad took me. And 16 year old me was mind blown by this game. Getting to play the demo and being just in awe at how they made it better. And getting to meet Vince and the team not even a few minutes later? (Keep in mind a big portion of the Respawn team were still riding the Modern Warfare legacy these people were legends for kids my age). Legendary. I have a fully signed physical copy of TF1 that they signed at the event. I hope someday we get TF3 but who knows. And honestly by the time it comes out who knows if I’ll be gaming as much anyways. Turning 24 this year and focusing on graduating from grad school. Cheers pilots we’ve had a good run, someday we’ll drop again.

Don’t forget about the mobile game. It was very sadly short lived but it existed.

The maps of Titanfall 1 that were part of the campaign are the best maps in both Titanfall games. I actually disliked when they made the DLC maps free and put them in the standard matchmaking playlist because I didn't want to play most them. Titanfall 2 had some cool stuff but overall I like the original more. How many of the people that made the original Titanfall are even at respawn anymore? I'm actually not hopeful for a Titanfall 3, I doubt it'll have many of the things I like about Titanfall and it'll definitely be tainted by apex.

For the first 3 seaons I enjoyed Apex Legends too, but the game slowly distanced itself from Titanfall, and now it feels like Respawn uses Titanfall as cheap nostalgia bait

I literally seen a comment on a video about titanfall 3 and it pretty much just said they would never make titanfall 3 because the first 2 were trash and that's why they both failed. Dude lost his mind

something that makes me stop playing titanfall each time are premade groups, when you see the multiperson/horn icon or the shared custom network on the scoreboard you know no matter how hard you try you will end up losing by a wide margin, you will slowly start to stop trying, then to stop playing by quitting and then each time you find a game you will fear that group icon because it means you dont get to play this time. If you dont belive me play solo and, if you perform good enough, will see how bad it gets.

If 3 actually exists it won't be the same most of that team left either went back to IW, made new companies, or went to other companies. I also think they'd probably ditch source2 and go with a different engine.

The issue was that Respawn gave up on the franchise to early and blamed everything on what made the game good.

ive only played titanfall 2 recently because it was five dollars for the disk at a collectibles store and it has by far one the most fun campaigns ive ever played even if the multipayer might not be perfect i will still always return to that campaign whenever i want a fast paced linear shooter experience with a great emotional story and can we mention how fucking funny it is that respawn is always gaslighting the ever living crap out of their fans?

With how big Apex has become I'm suprised Respawn haven't made Titanfall 3, would have a proper community the game would appeal to straight away. I enjoyed TF back in late 2014 when the jetpack FPS games were all the rage, Cod AW, Destiny, Titanfall.. Such a fun time.. I skipped Titanfall 2 for years, then in 2019 picked it up on PS4 and felt that nostalgia I had in 2014, then again I started playing the Northstar client on PC. Such an underrated series.

I thought titanfall 1 was honestly better multiplayer wise. It felt more balanced for the most part and I loved that every animation kept you in first person, which really sold the immersion for me. Titanfall 2 felt like there was a larger skill gap and the titans were harder to get and more OP resulting in my titan getting one shot upon spawn, and considering the time it took to get one compared to the first didn't help. And the switch to 3rd person animation on entering a titan and assassinations messed with the flow of immersion and actually made it annoying on getting my bearing when entering my titan and the camera kept spinning while I tried to remember where an enemy was.

I'd heard about all the hype with the game getting updated again, but figured if anything significant came about it, it'd definitely make news. And then nothing happened.

I'll be honest despite only recently buying the game (when it went on sale for $3). I was always fascinated with the franchise in a story and ironically I just couldn't get into Apex. I've been able to play some of the campaign I am stuck in the area known as Ash simulation, go for some reason I can't join online play and play against other players it's saying I need to connect to servers. Despite me being new and probably going to be dying light I would love to play against other players and just I just always had an odd love for this franchise that will probably never go away

Titanfall 2 and EA’s relationship is like that scene in kingsman where you needed to shoot your dog you’ve grown attached too and the bullet is a blank but EA intentionally switched the blank out for a live round and shot the titanfall dog without a second thought

I remeber when titan fall 1 camw out. I think i was 11 or 12, god i never owned a console then but i begged and begged to get an xbox to play it. I watch so many youtubes do a playthrough. I never got the xbox, but in 2018 i got a ps4 and got destiny forsaken edition and titanfall 2. God i played the shit out of both. Those two games were my teenage years.

I actually preferred the original Titanfall art style. It felt more grounded and gritty.

Titanfall 2 is still my favourite shooter but unfortunately recently I got a weird problem and now I can’t connect to the online servers, which makes me sad

Apex was def the worst thing to have happened to titanfall

I think what did it for me is when ronins are slashing my shit apart then runaway and when I’m in the middle of fighting a titan, one just pulls up and nuclear ejection. PvP is fine but the titans themselves needs a huge overhaul in combat.

Let’s be honest with some slight tweaks titanfall battle Royale would actually not be bad as long as the map was well thought out with both pilot and titans in mind I could see titans functioning as loadout drops you grind up money or whatever to call yours but you wouldn’t automatically win with a titan they can definitely be killed and I don’t know about you guys but as a legion main killing an itty bitty ultra fast pilot on the right map is not always easy its a bit more doable for monarchs tones and ronins but even they have their limits. You can’t tell me that with this in mind a titanfall battle Royale wouldn’t be the most cinematic shit ever just imagine your team has managed to call one titan and you crest the hill to see 4 enemy titans. you, as one of the titanless pilots on your team, hear your buddies legion say “pilot we are outnumbered 4-1 focus fire on the weakest target” while you leap towards the enemy tossing an arc nade and a holo pilot forward to distract the titans while you steal a battery for your friend. If can you look me in the eye and tell me that wouldn’t have everyone losing their minds you’re pathological. Imagine watching the streams it would literally feel like watching the helmet cam of a master level pilot in universe.

What if a mech game titanfall? Like armored core type of stuff? Customization, etc. Just pure mech game.

Maybe it just hopium in me but I think something has to happen in March it’s release date of tf1 they had have teaser for all 3 games dates so maybe as we get closer to apex and tf1 anniversary maybe more teases might pop up just like with tf2

The artstyle of Titanfall 1 was incredible, many of us miss it. It fit the realistic aproach to titans, guns, and maps like angel city and colony. The devs made MW2 (og) and Cod4, so realism is core to Titanfalls art direction. But TF2s colorful visuals made it more broad. Otherwise, nice video.

Oh, so they finally fixed that big hacking issue that made online hard to play for Titan Fall 2? If so, I might actually consider picking up the game finally.

I gave up with titanfall 3. Unless they bring back the original titanfall team and keep politics out of it. I dont want to see titanfall end up like Disney starwars movie.

The first game tbh wasnt bad but at the time there were simply better and more well known games,titanfall w come out the same exact day that 3 of the most popular and well known games ,compare to those games titanfall is a nobody at the tome nobody knew what the hell a titanfall even is and looked at what happend.The first game barely made any money it was a financial failure ofc,the game looks great full of potencial but ofc its ea the second the game gets anybody bug or game breaking issue they'll just quit and move on but instead they started the making of titanfall 3 after finishing a fraction of the game they decidd to switch it up and make a game that can compete against fortnite and behold apex legends(which is currency being screwed by Ea ofc).

i have no hope for this game. respawn dont care about it, they dont care about us. all they care about is apex, fans of apex, and the money they make off those fans for the truely incredible task of making yet another pubg rip off, that sounds like a riveting experience. i can think of about 3 things off the top of my head i would rather do than play that would be: jumping into a icy lake, standing in the sun for hours straight and then repeatedly slapping the sunburns, or having salt rubbed into a wound that was made with a spoon

Man its kinda sad how everything turned out but well that is what happens when you make poor decisions regarding the marketing of the game, seriously who releases a fps title along a CoD title? Thats asking for failure and boy oh boy did it fail, funny how Apex is still the only thing keeping a possibility of having TF3 on the loop, but with the community in general and everyone just pointing fingers like always, maybe its a good thing TF3 ain't happening, don't think they could deliver the hype or feel they did with TF2.

I mean it basically is call of duty with mechs but thats not really a bad thing ? Say whay you want about call of duty but its really unmat hed in fluidity and controls and how responsive it is.
