thanks for fixing the messy ass lore rise of red created I was treating rise of red like a pocket dimension but I'm stealing this head cannon for my sanity 😭😂 this is better
I'm not super well versed in Descendants lore but i had heard that most considered Wicked World not canon, especially bc it had Allie which would make no sense if Wonderland was like banned from attending Auradon BUT I wonder if Rise of Red could also explain some of the inconsistencies because they messed with the timeline. In the OG timeline Wonderland was banned but after RoR The Queen of Hearts never turned evil which means Wonderland was never banned from attending which would open up the door to Allie possibly being retroactively canon as she would be able to attend during the events of Wicked World as the ban would not exist. Hope this made sense bc all of this is kinda convoluted!
if you think about it… alice isn’t necessarily a citizen of wonderland. she just went there and went back. so she and ally don’t have to be separated from auradon. but i do have to rewatch wicked world to understand wonderland lore in descendants. it’s been a while.
Oml this is gonna take me a while to get all smoothed out in my head along with all my headcanons. But thanks for doing the hard stuff for me, I’m going to watch this 5 times over now to make sure I remember everything.
17:31 Probably Melissa de La Cruz herself. She said in an interview that Disney gave her a lot of leeway when writting these books. And since neither of what happens in the books will ever be mention in any of the films, they just let her do whatever she wants.
The stage musical is a canonical musical in the Auradon universe that was created by the background characters from Auradon prep to capitalize on the live story of the new king & queen
No clue who you are or how I got here but this is the most entertaining thing I've seen all week and I love the way you talk. Your voice, your mannerisms, your energy, it’s perfection 🤌🤌🤌🤌 And you are absolutely correct about everything.
About Wicked World, I don't think Ally's existance would contradict Red being the first Wonderlandian to attend Auradon Prep because I don't think it was ever stated that she came from Wonderland. It's not like Alice moved there especially after what she's been through as a child. On the topic of Freddie's performers, unless they couldn't pay her actress in future media, I doubt that it would've been a problem to include her in the movies because there was an event where the actors dress up in their characters' Wicked World outfits and Lauryn McClain showed up as Freddie instead of China.
It's not said outright, but is very much implied that Ally has actively been in wonderland, attending the mad hatter's tea party, and considering herself 'wonderland unique' instead of genie chic. Her parents run a wonderland teahouse so it's uncertain of what Alice actually experienced in wonderland. Especially now that Bridget/Queen of Hearts is good, it could entirely change Alice's experiences. But in this theory, Alice's time in Wonderland has little to do with the Beast's desire for no one to know his plot. The irl events exist in a complicated part of the canon, because of so many reasons lol XD
Why does this make sense but also doesn't but also a bit wild but also kinda works out and I have no idea what I just typed out nor watched but ig I'll headcanon this?
You know i've always thought descendants could have such cool worldbuilding and lore if they just took like a second to explore Cool headcanon though ^_^
Alright you just did the “impossible” and sealed those plot holes with a beautiful head cannon that leaves room for more movies. Gods I love you(Platonically)
