OMG! I always consider myself someone who has good research skills... And this paper literally includes ALLthe techniques that I gradually (and slowly!!) discovered over the years. This paper should be read by every college and graduate student!!
Thanks for watching and for your comment! I am impressed that you have used ALL of the techniques mentioned in this paper. Most people get stuck on one or two and are unaware of the rest. You might also like Bates' "Search Tactics" which has a quite unique vocabulary for online searching. (See this short video on Search Tactics, which begins on a personal note, but then focuses on the paper: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A4Z0Oyr3B7o.html) I hope you come back to the channel soon, and good luck with all your research!
Wow, that's great to hear! Thanks for your urgent and supportive message. Please let me know if I can help in any particular life-saving ways. I am here for anyone with a passion for Information Science. Your message might have helped other students or new information professionals who are feeling challenged, as well. Hang in there! 😊
Even after graduation, and getting into the field, this is still one of my favourite frameworks! Shout out to the amazing Jenna Hartel for including it in her introductory LIS class :)
Why thank you, M.! And thanks for staying in touch with me and the iSchool. I get the impression you are now settled into the field. Congratulations and best wishes going forward. Please stay in touch. ; )
This is a really great way to present information, aside from the fact that the use of bright neon colors makes it inaccessible for some people. This could be fixed by using more pastel colors instead and making sure there are no flashing images
Dear LISLISLIS, Thank you for the thoughtful feedback and constructive pointer towards more accessible videos. I am a newcomer to video-making and have made a number of mistakes. Going forward, I will rethink the aesthetics of my videos, aiming for a better balance between accessibility and visual dynamism. Ever grateful, Jenna
Thank you for writing! Indeed, Bates' Berrypicking is an early and vivid example of user-oriented design, and an inspiration for all systems developers. Please come back again to INFIDEOS. All the best wishes, Jenna Merci d'avoir écrit! En effet, le Berrypicking de Bates est un exemple précoce et vivant de conception orientée utilisateur et une source d'inspiration pour tous les développeurs de systèmes. Veuillez revenir sur INFIDEOS. Tous mes meilleurs voeux, Jenna
Thanks! Your message made me smile. It brings me a lot of joy to translate these great Information Science ideas to a next generation. Best wishes in your studies!
