A wisp of the battering wind…
I trail my fingers along the Alps
And an avalanche falls in my wake…
I feel in my quivering length
When it buries the hamlet beneath…
I hurriedly sweep aside
The cities that clutter our path…
As we whirl about the circle of the globe…
As we tear at the pillars of the world…
Open to the wind,
The Destroyer!
The wind that is battering at your gates.

"The Destroyer" depicts the forceful essence of wind. Gracefully waving around the globe, causing avalanches, and sweeping cities away, the piece conveys the wind's destructive potential. It personifies the wind as "The Destroyer," emphasizing its relentless power at nature's gates.
Dans ce morceau, le vent, évoqué dans toute sa puissance, nous renvoie à une posture d'humilité face à la Nature. Au gré de ses humeurs, il serpente autour du globe, balaie les villes, provoque des avalanches. Vivez, à travers cette œuvre, la personnification de la force destructrice du vent.
