@@josephmontanaro2350look at how the magazine fell. It made a 180° flip, the bullets even face the opposite direction. They *are* in the top part of the mag, but from our perspective they're in the bottom one.
Had to make extremely clear that the little box has (unspent) bullets inside, which you lose. Mainly because the general public is used to most shooters where you have 120 bullets and infinite mags rather than just 4 mags
@@ArheIy What you're saying is correct, but the graphic is still made incorrectly. Look at where the feed lips & follower are compared to the rounds that are on the mag floor plate.
0:37 "Those bullets end up wasted on the ground..." Please do take note the sad tone of general Brasch emphasizing the tragedy of the pollution of the alien worlds with lead, tungsten and depleted uranium by wasting weapon magazines instead of utilizing their full capacity. Think of the environment our Super Citizens will have to live in after the war, Helldivers!
@Voltz6000 Yes, and thank you, but the war is far from over keep diving and one day you will return to a democratic cyberstan again until then keep diving.
@@chrispernell5485 "one day you will return to a democratic cyberstan again until then keep diving." and then a new treat arrive that must destroy for surfival of mankind... and when that was destroy and it was peace and liberty...a new treat arrive... And its repeat over and over and over....

What's funny is that I think the original concept for the infamous yellow paint was to guide the player without breaking the immersion but it backfired because: 1: It's an overused concept. 2: Who puts yellow paint on random surfaces to guide some random person in a location?
Look at the animation more closely. The magazine is ejected rightward (meaning the bottom is facing right), and as it spins the side that was facing right ends up facing up when it hits the ground. That means that it landed upside-down and the spring was still pushing the bullets toward the top (which is facing the ground).
@@LordKelvinX2086 That is indeed correct. But if you look even closer you notice that the magazine "morphs" to changes orientation when they zoom in, since you can clearly see that the bottom plate is down when it's zoomed in. The spring between the bottom plate and the rounds is indeed missing. As many others have pointed out, this is of course because the rounds are too scared of General Brash to do anything else than their democratic duty and go into the chamber when they're next in line to deliver liberty.
General Brash once destroyed 2 automatons drop ships with one expendable anti-tank launcher. The first drop ship was shot down by the rocket, the other one was destroyed by General Brash throwing the empty tube. The throw impact did more damage then the rocket itself.
I have actually seen a clip of someone taking out two dropships with one EAT rocket. The blast itself happened to hit an engine on another dropship next to the one the Diver was trying to take out
@@Teuwufel That's not funny, or true. Soldiers can die even in training exercises, and besides, it is still sacrificing time, bothto get into shape and prepare for deployment.
@@rhael42 those people do it to protect everyone in a nation, not their fault governments decide to send them elsewhere, if it's the USA, imagine everyone has that same mentality, great, now Russia and China can freely bomb everything and take over, guns don't save you from bombs, do they? And not like you guys are gonna stay with those weapons if someone decide to make 'em illegal
Too bad they can't add a mechanic to put a half empty mag back in a pouch and reload to a full just like you would in real life, keeping that half empty available for later on when you are making a last stand.
Yeah... i guess they did it to avoid over-complicating the ammo system while also emphasizing the importance of loot scavenging and managing the resupply drop as a shared resource.
"waste enemies not bullets" me firing off that last bullet in my autocannon into the sky to have the even five bullets needed to fully reload for the next fight:
If you ever instinctively hit reload, then immediately regret all that wasted liberty potential, swap weapons quickly to cancel. Won't work once the magazine pops out though, and diving prone usually won't cancel it either.
Makes me wish we had a system for fast drop mag reloads or slower stow mag reloads. Like say, tap reload to just drop the mag, hold to stow it. Perhaps have holding the button on a full magazine consolidate partials.
It would be so much funnier if, upon reloading, if there were still have bullets in that magazine, you literally waste those bullets and can’t get them back! To this day, I believe there are only two games ever that have done this, and one of them is a PC game from the 90s.
Yes, that's how it works in Helldivers. Once you reload, any bullets left in the magazine are permanently discarded. Also why your ammo counter is measured in magazines, not bullets. Applies to both Helldivers 1 and 2!
At these sizes, yes. An open circulatory system would require higher oxygen levels that these planets don't have (SEAF peeps don't seem to wear helmets or respirators of any kind so I'm making a big assumption that they aren't THAT disposable lol)
I love how they have created this game with so many things that are a clear wish version of warhammer 40k ( i dont mean this in a bad way either only that it's as close to 40k as you can get) and get away with it because games workshop don't have the money to take em to court. Sony I salute you.
Hey did you guys forget about your sony boycott or something? Video game companies need to make a military themed fake plastic keys jingling simulator that's subscription based and folks like you all would buy it day one and drool over tactical crib mobile DLC. You'll put up with anything as long as you get to tactically LARP online.
I don’t believe that magazines or guns have bullets as they don’t do anything anymore. Game isn’t fun anymore because the weapons were nerfed back to the American revolutionary war.
