That's completely wild! Wine... tequila... you're right, I wouldn't have guessed this would balance out so well, but from your description, sounds fantastic! Thanks so much David!
@@boozeontherocks Hi David, I have made this tonight (Sunday) after cooking and clearing up after a lovely Beef in beer casserole with a Malbec. I used residual wine in this and it is indeed a very pleasant drink. Dryness from the lime, flavour from the wine and whoomph from the tequila balanced by the simple syrup. Well done for posting this. Nick
Sign us up for two please Dave! I just commented earlier so you know we love wine LOL. And, I'm a fan of tequila. I never had the experience some others have with it LOL
@@boozeontherocks so it depends. maybe something with a mild heat, like a dust of chili powder on top just a hint. or if you want more heat use my dragon breath simple syrup?? what are your thoughts??
Yea, that was my 1st thought, type of wine / pairing? Merlot, Cabs, Pino, Malbec, Shiraz? Could be fun just trying to experience, I meant experiment…..😅
Wow, thank you David, i absolutely have to try this for Halloween! But i will try it with a very fitting "Egri Bikavér". (the translation is: "Erlauer Bulls Blood"). It´s a fantastic Hungarian red wine that i absolutely adore! Should you be able to get your hands on a bottle of "Bulls Blood", grab it by the horns! (pun intended) It´s very much worth it! Cheers David! 🐂🩸🍷
@@boozeontherocks Your local is golden then; as i understand it ... it is very similar in the taste-profile if not the same as "Egri Bikavér" with just a different label. I really hope you like it. Have fun tasting it! ;)
Mr. David, I'm sorry to be bothering you again. Can't get my hands on the wine you are using so I'm going to try a D'Autrefois Pinot Dior. Would that wine work fine? I just want it to float to the top just like yours.
@@boozeontherocks Thank you so much, David! You have a lot of drinks I want to try. Because of you and your channel, I went out and brought rock glasses and a shaker kit.
