Back in my day you should have heard some of the screaming I was doing from my car to the crew! It's all heat of the moment shit. Everyone is charged and as a driver you are supercharged. Trying to convey what you want in those times is very difficult. Logically you and the crew would assume a bent wheel? No problem. Get me back out there. It wasn't. Shit Happens and you made a valiant effort! I remember 2 times I flipped the car at Clinton County and stayed in the cockpit while Dad and the crew made repairs to radius rods with duct tape and a hammer! I restarted without the wing and finished! Damned rod ends would rip out from the threads and Dad would just sock them back together and use tape!! I got a 3rd place finish one night that way! He would never tell me what he was doing. Just say, "you're good" and they'd push me off. Different times. Those Ben Cook cars were tough.

It was good practice. I guess you will have to replace that caliper every xxxx number of years, eh?

Weird, our local track waters until there is standing water on the track are you sure they know what they're doing there? Oh wait, our promoter says fans pay for crashing not racing. He prefers to see cars torn up and if he is lucky drivers hurt or killed.
