Thanks for that video Davie. You are really quick on the ball, it's less than 2 weeks since I asked. Well done!

Merry Christmas Davie, and a great informative video. We also call this bird in our part of the world and is sold as a Hungarian Partridge.

Great to see tips on different tying materials. Thank you for posting. I was wondering if you could make a video on how to tie different wings? I can always look at the different videos to see that, but it would be great with a tutorial video on how to tie in wings. I am struggling to get them right.

Didn't even know that you could get Partridge from China. With the cost of Partridge I wasn't going to dye what I get. Time to look around the net for some cheap skins. Thanks again for your wealth on knowledge.

Thanks Davie. I was a game shooting man for many years - but gave it up 30odd years ago - except for the very odd foray thither - and there was plenty feathers from all forms of game bird available then! I kept my gun-licence and membership of the local very active GunClub and am given fur/feather as needed (for most fly tying) - from old shooting buddies DV. Unfortunately we do not have any partridge anymore as Coillte (Government Semi-State body) took over most of the mountains 40 years ago hereabout and the new pine/spruce forests decimated/ruined the mountain shooting of grouse and partridge for us. A Very Happy Christmas to you and yours.

Thank You Davie. Great information to have. What about French Partridge? Im doing some beating (it’s how I keep fit in the winter!😉) so have access to pheasant and French partridge.
