If you have ever wondered about the difference between Custom vs. Off The Rack Curtains - here is one thing many of my clients don't understand. Pleats don't go away when you close a custom drape - that is the hallmark of an off-the-rack curtain.

I don't know why youtube showed me this but yeah, it looks good because it probably is 3x the width of the window. When people buy pre-made curtains they probably buy 1.5 or maybe 2x the width.

IKEA sells for a couple of bucks little brackets to keep the pleats neat. Use them with any curtain and a runner.

Or, hear me out, you could measure & buy appropriately, so your curtains aren't stretched out flat when they're closed. Just sayin'....

Now that we’re in a recession you’re going to have to explain the difference in prices. Also, do those curtains need to be re-pleated at the dry cleaners? Because that costs almost as much as the initial cost of the curtains. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. 🙀

Hourly Motels in my area have these pleats. 😂😂😂. Personally, I like my velvet curtains much more because they hang nicely, block most light but not all of it and they can be easily taken down for the wash
