Incorrect video I think thats mid honor for what you showed as high High honor he talks to the nun Or maybe thats just if you do the nun sidemission which is a must because its amazing
@Aaronreacher i dont think hes scared with low honor cuz you cant get the sister calderon mission where he states hes afraid and in all the low honor cutscenes later in the game hes very fearless and badass but with high honor hes still trying to convince dutch micahs a rat
@@cwhf89 He's not fearless he's simply not open about it, that's the whole point of no honor. With High honor Arthur just accepted that he's a bad man but he tries to do the right thing before he dies unlike low honor where he can't let go his past, or he doesn't feel like he can even try to change.
@@Aaronreacher i think he still manages to let go to some degree regardless and understands that the gang is over but i havent done a full low honor playthrough so idk
@@Deusgo101and there is a dialogue between dutch and him, in ch2 i think and dutch says something like "you saved my life before" if im not wrong. might be the reason he was in the gang
@@MrValentineFunny I agree his death is sad but not the saddest in video game history there's other characters death which made gamers cry take Ghost's and Roach's death in MW2 2008 for example
What’s more is this cutscene will happen with the nun you meet in Saint Denis if you’ve completed her side quests. That is when you get a very sad but wholesome cutscene.
I thought the high honour version was with sister cauldron and low honour with reverend - I suppose in all my play throughs I always completed the sisters mission line
Something went terribly wrong if you didn’t get the sister cutscene in this moment. One of the greatest video gaming scenes of all time in my humble opinion.
On my first playthrough for some reason i didn’t do side missions, but i still got the high honor ending so at least that’s good. But on all my other playthroughs i did them
If you meet and complete all missions with the nun from undead nightmare in rdr2 it will not be swanson it Will be the nun Edit: and you need to have High honor
You only get Sister Calderon if you have high honor and completed the side mission “of men and angels” otherwise if you have low honor or didn’t complete the side mission you get Swanson.
Absolutely adore rdr2 especially in the beginning but when you hit that point in the game where most of the gang is either dead or leaving and Arthur becomes visibly ill I always find it hard to play and it really does a good job of making you feel like the end is coming. It’s such a gripping game and I’m glad that they included a long epilogue to help digest and reset from the end of Arthur’s story. Such a masterpiece.
@@AmaraTheGreat-yf6fs low honor means you are a bad person in the game, you kill people, kidnap, rob, etc. high honor means you are a good person in the game, greeting people, having mercy, refusing to kill, etc.
If you helped out the sister in Saint Denis, she'll show up, and the interaction is a lot sweeter. "Take a gamble that love still exists, and do a loving act." edit: it was take a GAMBLE like the comment below i hadn't played in a little while but i just related faith with the sister cause yknow
I always thought low honor makes a better story, Arthur tries to change but in the end he is who he is but even as a bad man he loves John like a little brother and does everything he can to protect him and his family
Nah high honor is definitely better. Shows that Arthur is a good man in a bad position, his sins are to protect the family he loves even if he knows that it's at the detriment of others
@@Noah-rd5ri high honor with the Sister is the best. Arthur slowly begins to realize, after talking to her, that despite him being in a bad spot, he can still make the most of it. Which he does in the last money lending missions.
For sure low honor dialogues just hit different, just play low honor the whole game and then build up your honor to high just before the end, that’s how you get the perfect redemption arc
Revend Swanson is my favorite gang member, not counting the main characters, He was constantly worried about Arthur, communicated with him, and never rude to Arthur
Lower honor comes added thoughts and then beautiful art (in the form of words for Arthur) which is a very interesting way to convey high and low honor in a game
“You lived you life like a man Arthur and you turned into a good man if we were all like you things might have turned out differently” This line is one of my favorite quotes in the whole game.
Whenever i play bad honor arthur, i can not have him looking like normal arthur, just aint right. I shave him bald and give jim the craziest mutton chops you ever did see.
@@NinjaCat1490 there was never any doubt he wasn’t, lol. He leaves camp in a high honor play through. He’s a tertiary character by definition. When he leaves and where he goes is literally unimportant in Arthur’s story. If you honestly think the low honor cutscene is better, you’re an ape. Rockstar reserved the better, intended story line for people who were thorough and did the stranger missions, and played high honor.
@97javic I didn't said the Low Honour Cutscene is good I always played High Honour but for some Reasons I couldn't do the Nun (forgot her name) Strangers Mission they never appered a Bug perhaps so I got High Honour Arthur with Swanson
I love the endings because in low honour he accepts his death and knows hes a bad man but in high honor the fact is hes scared of dying and because of that and regreting the bad choices he made in his life he chooses to help people with what little time he had left
When you finish all the debts mission and you kick Strauss out there's a different cutscene when you have low honor and high honor. If you have low honor Arthur will call the people losers and if you have high honor Arthur will be mad at Strauss for going giving the group a bad reputation
I wish in the future you could decide the fate of everyone in different ways in games like gta and rdr by either being a total villain or a hero and a good samaritan. Meaning you could be violent and sadistic towards characters in your own way or helpful and kind.
I like how in the low honor cutscene he calls him reverend but in the high honor he calls him Mr Swanson, not a big difference but he has a little more respect in high honor
When I first played the game, I was almost completely low honor but once I heard he had TB the way I played changed completely so instead of the wolf cutscenes near the very end of the game I saw the good side of things. Like if you know what animal you see.
On my first play through I was an asshole and got low honor and I noticed as the game went on Arthur looked more and more sick so when I restarted the play through I thought by having high honor it would help with Arthur’s sickness but even tho I maxed it out just to see Arthur still look like shit and think horribly about himself spoke volumes of his character and made the ending hit 10x more when I beat it the second time
I noticed that with the low honor cutscene Arthur called him Reverend, his first name, and in the high honor cutscene Arthur called him Mr. Swanson, his last name. Showing that Arthur respects Swanson more with high honor than with low honor.
The difference is that low honor talks his tone is acceptance, he accepts how bad he is while high honor tone in voice is regret for all the bad deeds he did, low honor arthur accepets that he will be who he is forever while high honor arthur hopes that he can find redemption for all the bad deeds he has done in the name of loyalty. There is always hope for high honor arthur to be a better man
You can get Swanson's cutscene even in High honor. Just skip the nun missions then boom you get his cutscene. Trust me I played the game so many times that I forgot how many times I played it.
i see it as low honor arthur acknowledges he’s a bad man and accepts (could be argued wishes) for death and in high honor he learns how being good gives him life and is beginning to want to live again (prolly just more life to atone for his previous actions )
For those wandering you can get the Sister Calderon scene if you have both high honour and have completed the 'Of Men and Angels' side quests. Edit: spelling
I’ve chosen the high honor route this life path I hear that a lot in real life it may be cringey but I hear those exact words said often to me gave me chills
