I was not able to tell in this video about ALL the differences between live vocals and pre-record. However, if youd like, i can expand on this topic a little more. What would you like to see from this type of content from me? P.S. yes, im a vocalist, so im personally interested in this topic :)
Aespa has one of the best encores on tv shows Strong vocals, good voice control etc but the antis don’t want to accept it cuz their favs can’t (no hate)
Yesss! Even Bang Si Hyuk texted Min Hye Jin jokingly asked her if she can “crush/step on” Aespa when they won awards at the AAA award show lol Even Hybe’s chairman is afraid:) I’m always proud of SM’s groups’ live vocals 💜
@@cherlizzeeguilior I translated that word directly from vietnamese articles. They translated that phrase in his text into “giẫm đạp” which directly means step on or crush.
I personally think it's hilarious and don't consider her a particularly great performer because of her deadpan and straight face lol. She's a great singer regardless
The best way to tell is if Ningning is hyper and performing at 200%. Girl is so bored of stages that aren't live that when she can sing live she eats twice as much as usually
Live vocals are characterized by out of tunes moments, that is unstable. I dont see what the problem is, if this is absolutely normal for any vocalist, especially if you also dance at the same time
If you listen carefully, you can understand that Winter off-keyed her high note a little. The same with Ningning, both at the performance and at the encore. Vocal technique cannot be 100% stable. And dont think that if i say theyre out of tune, that means i think theyre bad vocalists
Also, if you watch the video carefully, the creator said "unstable MOMENTS", which means only some parts are unstable, which is true and its very understandable
they mean its unstable compared to studio vocals. it's impossible to be "stable" as in "no off key moments" when youre moving around and dancing that much. for people who have proper vocal training (like all of aespa), the off key stuff will be only a few moments, not the whole song. this is the case for them. they're slightly off, especially in the parts with sudden movement. that's what "hearing movement" means. you hear them breathe and go off key when they move. it's extremely unrealistic to expect studio quality vocals from people dancing. you'll notice generally with aespa (or other groups where everyone can sing like nmixx or mamamoo) that they don't have these issues if they're just sitting/standing still.
The first days when they just started promoting, they have pre-recorded, but when they get their first win, they start to sing live, so that means SM will give us a live vocal performance if they get their win 😂
Ningning good at ballad but not good at RnB. Her cover of Keyshia Cole's Love have awkward riffs and runs. Many kpop fans do not understand about vocal technique and pretend to understand. They only know about stable vocal and hight note 😂😂😂 Please ask Ningning to cover Baekhyun's Bambie like Chaewon at Lee Mujin Service 🤣🤣🤣
I think winter's voice gets louder when she's hitting high notes, so when its completely live it just pierced my ears. I think she knows too thats why she distances the mic during high notes
i prefer when idols sing live like even if theyre unstable (even if its for half the performance like i ltl dont care) its more entertaining than seeing them do the same choreo over and over and over and nothing else. sure its nice to see them dance well but hearing them sing live makes the performance more enjoyable and unique
They literally do not need anything other than their own voices, however to not strain their voices too much, I think keeping the back vocals and letting them sing live is a good choice. They're insanely talented
kpop idols singing live is really made the stage shine and alive. A 'lil unstable is okay but they are living the moment. Music shows have to bring this trend back. I'm tired of seeing idols acting on stage.
There are groups focused on performances. There are groups focused on vocals. If you dont like one, just go to another group, thats all. Often live singing is very harmful to the chords, especially if these are high notes and generally various complex vocal techniques. I also love it when idols sing live, but you have to understand that its better for their health not to do it too often
@@vonris_but_MY you watche gen 2 live stages. They killed both singing live and killer performances. Thats what I'm saying. Now? Everybody did pre-record singing and thats just sad. Not only Gen 4 but all idols whose active are doing it, even those who perform ballads.
@@raissanv what im saying is that performing live too often is very harmful. Theres nothing wrong with pre-recording, its just that everyone has different tastes when it comes to performances. The 4th generation has more complex dances, because the audience is no longer as easy to surprise as it was in generations before. I love live vocals, but the importance of the backing track cannot be underestimated
Some fans just need to accept the reality that their idols dont sing live 'sometimes'(tho it happened a lot of times since 3rd gens til now). Theres nothing wrong with lip-syncing or pre-record but we appreciate real efforts better.
@@vonris_but_MY well that's the thing, if they are just continuing to dance during their high note then they are probably lip syncing because when they are singing live they don't dance or only do a very little
I’d add the fact that the vocals are louder when they’re live! They all have powerful vocals and Winter is the one that has a louder voice when they’re singing. It’s easier to tell if they’re live or not through that way!!!
Wow in the second clip the backtrack was really loud dirong Karinas part but Winters high note was loud :) finally, nicee Many times unfortunately the back vocals is too loud
When its too perfect, its not live. Live doesn't mean perfect, because live is real. Real is not perfect. And not perfect doesnt mean not beautiful. Because beautiful is not in perfection. Im tired of perfect prestations. You cant just hear it easily.
Sometimes they put the breathes intentionally in pre records vocals but the difference being you can hear a big difference between normal breathes wueb singing and big ones that happen when singing AND dancing, as well as usually the pre recorded vocals sound suspiciously smooth despite hearing their breathes for doing such rigorous choreo.
SM already sent me copyright complaints, which means theyve already registered the copyright for the girls' solos! I love 2HOT4U and Wake Up. I cant wait for their solos to finally be released😭😭
Not much surprise, i have always been looking at live shows closely, eversince 2nd gen was still on their heyday. Then coming to the next gen looking at n comparing to their live stages become my habit.
Nah. Live vocals when they are not dancing is super stable imo. Have you heard the others . Even though they not dancing their vocals shaky , some even out of tune. If not its like they are screaming rather than singing
Thank YOU! I hate blind fans for defending lip-sync and prerecorded love vocals…. I appreciate aespa’s natural love vocals. They have worked so hard and are so talented!
I will always always prefer live vial a over pre recorded, as you said small mistakes are fine, overall it’s so much more entertaining than watching lip sync
The difference (from a sound tech as me...) is behalf the mic. Dynamic ones are the best for al LIVE sound with lots of surrounded noice (people shouting 😅). All headset are active, which sensibility is required by quiet ambiances (people shouting aren't a good combo). So headset could be silenced when singing and leave back track sound and surrounding there. Japanese idols have dynamic mics all the time. JPop isn't as accurate as K-pop but always play live...
There are even other instances where it's not the backing vocal and not the album tracks, but it's also not live. Many idols have described situations where they have to perform 3 times in one day starting at 4:00am. So they record a live take first thing in the morning in anticipation of being completely burned out by the evening.
Im talking about the fact that this is called a pre-record... I just dont understand why some people here in the comments describe what is from the video and so its clear😭😭
knowing how much weekly music show pays the idols, i feel like it's okay for pre-record. since their raw voice is beautiful and expensive. better save it for concert.
I dont care if idol lip sync if i already knew their raw voice are already good and they gonna ate em up. But i hate idol who r lying they got good voice , but when live they cant even sing and said they are satisfied with their vocal! Like illit and lesserafim. 😂
Karina could've just debuted as a visual and she'd be set for life, but this lady has the quality of a lead vocalist, is a lead rapper, and is a main dancer. She's even their leader 😂 this is the kind of person you're competing with
You did great, this might be helpful for new fans. But the fact that there's a need to make this video is really sad. Kpop arent designed around live stages anymore, so even if they can they probably wont do that, bcs most music shows are like that. I think rather than obsessing over idols talent we need to discuss and appreciate people behind the scenes. We forgot that kpop made by a very massive team behind, it takes so many kind of effort from different areas. We need to thank the music show staff too, even when they made a false image of live stages. Maybe when we start to appreciate people in the back and let go of all the blind obsessions, kpop can be a safer place both for the idols and the fans.
Unrelated to aespa but movement (?)/unstable vocal & voice crack is totally fine. Even professionally trained vocalist get one of those in some days. But totally getting out of sync with the songs they had/supposed to train with months before the song release is just unacceptable. It like they been ignoring their studies & just faced the exam blindly 😂.
