The IP has been forgotten by most people for like 20 years now ngl. Whenever you bring up digimon, people *remember* it, but they just remember it as great value pokemon and not much more

It’s the only thing they’re putting effort in sadly. The anime has been a mixed bag lately.

I mean, Ghost Game had effort put into it. It's just that the director decided that kids don't have attention span so serialized stories don't work. So he kneecaped the plot in favor of single episodes plots that didn't always mesh together with each other. Honestly he should not have been the lead. Didn't understand kids, didn't understand digimon.

​​@@AdaptiveReasoningthere isn't anything wrong with that formula though. It works for other shows like Gegege no Kitaro which ghost game definitely reminds me of. The problem is that they spent too much time not building up the ending. So when we got to those last episodes, they had to rush to fill in all of the loose plot threads and even then they still didn't have enough time to do everything they needed to do. Ghost game desperately needs some kind of Movie or OVA so that it can end on a better note.

I want some dawn/dusk-esque games or more spiritual successors to DW1 and 3, personally. but more cyber sleuth I can work with.

A Sim would really help.

I'd be okay with us not getting an official sim if bandai stays hands-off about unofficial ones. Generally speaking, I prefer EDOPro over master duel, as it runs faster and is a tremendously lighter weight piece of software(neither is resource intensive tho).

Well funny enough if you look at the system itself? It lets you select Fusion World but it has spaces for other things. I think we won't get a mobile client so much as PC one for Digimon and One Piece managed on this up under Bandai which I am all for! ..>Though hopefully, the daily rewards get better. It's behind freaking Master Duel and Arena in how much I feel my time is wasted and little rewards you get even with cash XD

Sorta confused in on what you mean by the evolve part? As within the card game context mixed with the setting of both the it’ll likely go the normal route of evolution being temporary. Honestly, the point of the partner Impmon not necessarily leading up to Beelze makes sense in context and gives a cavalcade of theories on what the “main” line for this Impmon will be. And to answer your question on the Beelze deck, it was pretty powerful when it was at full power with some competitive power still left post banlist which limited one of its key cards. With said card being an Impmon that milled additional cards from the deck if milled itself, as the the deck’s focus was playing on self milling and reaching certain trash thresholds, which was bolstered by cards that have effects when they were milled from the deck, so think of it as Lightsworns from Yugioh. Though the deck peaked when the first Advanced Starter deck came out, as it was focused on Beelze, followed by the support it got in the booster set that came after, giving the X-antibodies of the line.

@@cyberdragoon1432 due to the evolve part: in any digimon vpet or game it's a main functionality that each rookie has many different evolution trees depending on some different condition. Similar to eevee evolves in 8+ different version, but in digimon context this mean that each evolution can also evolve into 4+ different version and so on and so forth. I don't know if this functionality is implemented in the card game, but if not, it probably means this new impmon is not an usual impmon. In pokemon TCG they had in the past different something like Dark Pokemon (or Team Galactic Pokemon and much more mechanics like that), e.g. Dark Charmander which only can evolve to Dark Charmeleon, and this could mean this impmon could be something like a special impmon, which is already banned to evolve to beelzemon. and if it is, this probably mean, that beelzemon is banned for evolving or it's just a side evolution line and this (new?) line is the main evolution line. I was a lot curious when they specially specified that, just like it's a big part of the novels story. And yes, just like you said of the main evolution line theories. I mean, look the character design of yuuki. Digimons most often looks/feels like there partner. But the "evil/clowny looking" impmon and the "pure evil cool looking" beelzemon absolutely wouldn't match with the yuuki which gives more like a main char vibe (friendly and happy but also kinda tough/brave person). And e.g. I know that beelstarmon exists in Digimon TCG, but even that digimon doesn't look like it suits the yuuki character. Also it's kinda nice that at least in digimon (as well as the new pokemon) a woman/Girl is the main char of the story. It's sad that we never got something like that in ygo. We need more tough girls in media.

@@necrodraco The evolution mechanic of the current card game is meant to simulate the infinite branching paths for evolution, with there being the printed evolution cost and color requirements on the card as the other way to use the card outside the paying the play cost, with the pre-determined path aspect being seen with some cards having an alternate evolution cost and with a name requirement printed in the effect text. With the Impmon already being diverging, as the other route is the gunslinging fem fatale, Beelstarmon.

Think it was announced on stream that it won't be Beelzemon.

Project Drasil is the Duelingbook equivalent. Theres a fan autosim in the works but its not open to the public yet.

I support this. Especially as that is a good gateway into my favorite, Millenniummon, who has been forgotten since the second set.

Lol... it is by far King of anything except prices, I live in Chicago and I've seen about the same 6 to 8 players consistently. Maybe they're hiding but it is not the king 🤣
