Wow. I’m lost of words. Truly one of the most beautiful shows I’ve seen, it brought tears to my eyes and I don’t know why. But I’m so grateful to be Mexican. Thank you Dior for showing the world our great culture in such a artistic and cinematic way .
The last song is about kidnapped women. Same here. I don't know Spanish, but I had a deep feeling that this last part was the most important. I translated the song “Vivir Quintana, el Palomar y Mon Laferte - Canción Sin Miedo” and boom. Funny thing is that I discovered the song near Mexican Embassy in Warsaw
What does Mexico have to do with it? The model’s eyebrows reminded me of Frida Kahlo who was Mexican ; is that the connection? I thought Dior was French. Best spring collection I’ve seen and also Armani.

I am not a regular viewer of these fashion shows. This was seen while i scrolled as an ad. For some reason i decided to click. Not at all expecting the theme. My grandfather passed away in March and it totally brought him to mind, represented my culture, my childhood, and so many emotions came flooding through! It gave me chills, brought tears to my eyes, and spoke to my soul as a Mexican American woman. I was not ready for this at all! But thank you. Thank you for more than you will ever truly know!! 😢😮🥺😧😳🥰🤯
I totally understand you!! I don't watch these either but it interested me seeing it was Mexican indigenous based. It totally gave me a feeling of going to visit family in Mexico as a kid. My grandparents and older uncles had ranches, big beautiful hacienda style homes and this gave me that vibe. My grandmother was a mulata, but with strong indigenous features. This gave me those vibes
I love every single piece in this collection by far my favourite. Every piece told a story and I can see myself in every garment...now that's art in fashion....Bravo Dior!!!

La lluvia no tuvo mejor oportunidad para darnos ese lindo protagonismo, pues a mi manera de pensar, en ella estuvieron haciendo presencia las muchas mujeres víctimas de esa violencia. Hace un mes y medio fui a México la primera vez en mi vida. En este desfile me encantó ver las siluetas, los colores y tejidos tradicionales mexicanos mezclados con la estética de Dior.
I love it. The integration of Folk culture, folk narratives and traditional crafts into contemporary fashion in such an essential way is such a great move, I think. It will help to find appreciation for women in the past who for centuries were not allowed to own any thing from the husbands house they were sold to but the dowry cabinet. The posessions were transferred to the firstborn son. So they developped the crafts of stitching and sewing etc. Practised the art they were allowed to do at home, secretely developped their art, that was always underrated, was not supposed to be exposed but in festivities: creativity that was an outlet from being wife and mother. Finding appreciation for our suppressed female ancestors will enhance appreciation for the contemporary woman in strong connection with her past time narratives. I am becoming a huge fan of Maria Grazia Chiuri because what she does is actually a big move against class discrimination while giving us incredible beautiful and artful dresses. Such an inspiration.

One of the most captivating and evocative shows I have ever seen. The venue, rain, and the voices of Lila Downs and Natalia Lafourcade thundering in the background created the perfect atmosphere and mood, while the clothing paid homage to deep, rich, historical traditions of Mexico. The call to action at the end was emotional, given the level of violence against women there. Thank you for not only capturing the beauty of Mexico, but for also speaking to its current reality.
Among the high fashion shows of the last 3 4 years, the best is "dior". The music selection, the concepts, the runway, everything is really great. among the few shows that make me feel that fashion is art.
It takes me back when Christian Dior first shook the fashion world. It is wonderful that such talented designers carry on his vision of art in fashion.
It’s an absolute gem of a collection. Every piece is something of totally wear. The fact that it’s based on Mexican culture makes it all the more special to me.

@@amdg9683 según yo es una interpretación, como normalmente sucede en el arte ya que si pones atención no hay nada nuevo, lo nuevo son las interpretaciones personales de lo que ya existe y eso es arte. Personalmente pienso que esta re interpretación honra y valora precisamente muchos símbolos mexicanos cuidando de ir diciendo (si ves su instagram) de donde salieron sus ideas y su interpretación. Yo por eso opino a favor y también por todos los sentimientos que a la hora de ver el video tuve.
