The Diplomats Producer Makes a Beat ON THE SPOT. In this 'On The Spot Sessions' episode we feature super producer Gorilla Tek (The Diplomats, Trina, Trick Daddy, Ludacris, Flo Rida, 8Ball and MJG)who used the Maschine Studio for the first time to make a new trap style beat. He called in Miami emcee Matt Fuze to lay down a verse making it an instant hip hop banger. We were able to cpture all of this live on the spot. Tek is still giving them hell on the beats. I'm a born and raised Miami native, and I have had huge music success, but I grew up learning the styles of production from people like Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, but when it came to that home town urban sound Gorilla Tek was that dude. He is like the urban @Pac of producers to us inMiami. That Trick Daddy that everybody loved was Tek.. Salute soldier...

+GamerGriaBros - I know this comment is old but for anyone thinking about purchasing a maschine, and no this isn't an advertisement, I bought one recently and I have never used hardware like this before. It took me two days to get the overall basics down and start making music. It's very easy to learn and the workflow is really nice. I came from using fruity loops and a midi keyboard. The feel of everything is awesome too.

I hate how they got these grammy winning producers come up in the studio then these host provide them with some corny ass samples that dey made instead of letting the producer use his own chosen DAW's, VST's and sound samples so we can really get a raw sense of their style

But the whole point of this is to promote the sample packs. So the producers HAVE to use them. Anyway, search here on RU-vid: "Rhythm Roulette" by Mass Appeal and "Deconstructed" by Genius. Exactly, the average novice sees the gear and assumes. most of the big studios are rented just for show. Only a small portion of producers can afford such gear and use it to produce.
