Rajamouli biggest dream is to do Mahabharata. Now Russo brothers and the Production house wanted to do a film with rajamouli, then budget constraint of which he wanted like 1000cr is looks easy and he can go upto 2000cr which would be biggest spectacle one could watch on Screen and VFX will be greatest of all time. Mahabharata will be Epic in Cinematic Universe all over the world. Then indian History and Indian Cinema would be on Top of The Mountain.

Waiting 2-3+ years for a Rajamouli film is too long. But so worth it when the time comes around!

As a telugu guy i can say our tollywood actors are blessed to play his characters. He will say all good things about other actors when he goes to other industries for promotion. But his motherly feeling and his sheer responsibility kinda feeling to bring glory to telugu states is inside.he made it clear during pushpa function by praising aa for bringing credit to 2 states. No surprise his next film is with mahesh. RRR records with highest numbers in 2 states would have given him more confidenc.that no need to take other lang actors even if he did "who knows" they might get small roles

Tbh, rajamouli is way better than the russo brothers.....wait, I know what you're gonna say but the thing is russo brothers are known for just the marvel movies and we all know marvel previsualize movies years before they're even made. Iw and endgame were previsualized by marvel since 2017. Directors do bare minimum work in marvel movies. On the other hand, rajamouly not only have budget issues, there is also lack of technology and creativity in india. It's not easy to make such movies in india let alone being the pioneer in the space where as these kinda movies are quite common in Hollywood. I hope rajamouli is able to refine his art. The day he takes out the intentionally put silly sequences which are admired and loves by masses, Indian cinema will finally be able to compete with Hollywood.

For those who complain that RRR was 'over the top'- that was precisely one of the reasons why it crossed over- film buffs have a term for it- CAMP-and I mean it in a positive sense. People enjoy campiness. There's a cult base for camp across industries. Rajnikanth or Balakrishna or Chuck Norris. Rajnikanth didn't cross over to the Japanese because he had something new to offer in terms of 'reality' or gravity. People love him for what he is in the movies. You think people enjoy these films because they haven't had science classes on gravity in school? There's a large disconnect between the critics and audience in this country. And even among the audience, urbane audience swear by or are beholden to Nolan and Paul Thomas Anderson. But camp has a place of its own-one can like all of these and liking Nolan doesn't mean one has to diss directors from here.
