Did they add anything useful to the game or is it still just a grind to get cosmetic items? If so that seems pretty pointless to me. My buddies and I played this for a few weeks when it came out and ended up stopping cause we got everything and it got very boring.

Getting attacked by a Kraken in a Sloop is the absolute worst case scenario, also get a Gallion, then have your friends get a brig and then combine your crews for a crew actually capable of adequately operating a Man Of War sized ship

I remember ny first time playing, it was a few weeks after release, I was on an open crew and the people I played with were one of those people who pretend the game is about pvp and not looting, my learning process was complicated. I loot I get called a slur I do something wrong I get called a slur I do repair slowly I get called a slur I shoot slowly I get called a slur I shoot too fast and use a lot of ammo I get called a slur I do something right I get called a slur. It was a fun day.

I have noticed that there are two kinds of borders. The first kind know what they are doing. They know when the board and when not to. These guys will only leave their ship when they know they can get on yours. Then their is the other side of the coin. These people have no clue what the word “bording” means, they think it’s a made up word like “MLG no scope” they leave port with at least on crate of ammo and return having only used five shots that you know missed. The are the cannon ball, but they cannot aim to save their lives, so they will always need a mermaid to come back to ship, only to do it again
