Dude you read my mind. I am not in the trade but I am a weekend warrior for decades. I developed the same wax (preservative) treatment through my own experience and then almost immediately heard you talk about it in an earlier Dirtnali episode. That was amazing, and a nice confirmation that my idea wasn't garbage. I use liquid long term preservative from McMaster Carr, so I use a pour and saturate method from above. I haven't graduated yet to the idea of an aerosol, but I like it, and I'm glad you showed it (and that you do it - I imagine most dont). My wife's 2010 Challenger started rotting out the rear quarter panel. These cars are filled with expanding foam behind the rockers to deaden sound, but it's also exposed to the environment so all it does is wick and hold moisture. I drilled an access hole and "fished" it out over many nights, pumped rust dissolver through it for two days, and then pumped the preservative through it.

Adhesion promoter for the double sided tape. That's a first for me. I don't generally have issues with a quality tape letting go if I got my prepwork done properly. Interesting stuff, I'll have to go take a look for it.

I didn't think I was a "clean freak" but I'm not gonna lie. That dirty fender liner did bother me a little. Oh well.
