I think this actually makes sense in kanas eyes. When Aqua and Akan’s started dating soon after his revenge was over because he thought his dad died. Kana had said to him he looked better. Soon after his break up with Akane because he found out about his dad Ais killer being alive. He went back to his old ways. So in Kanas eyes he was happy when Akane was there and then when he broke up with her he went back to being glum.

While Kana is 100% right, Akane is way better for him than her, it doesn't really make sense for her to realize it. She didn't realize it when they were dating for 2 years, why now?

You know, I’ve thought about it a little and if the leaks are true then I have a feeling this is probably Kana putting her guard up against Aqua! Because if you really think about it, Kana has been burnt by Aqua on numerous occasions so the idea that he might now have feelings for her, probably scares her! So Kana might be lying to Akane as way to put some distance between herself and Aqua so that she doesn’t end up getting hurt again!

I feel like this tends to be the downfall of any series with a haremesque plotline. Instead of just writing something concise and makes sense they instead try to ramp up the drama towards the end leaving everyone irritated and frustrated instead of satisfied. Domestic girlfriend and quintessential quintuplets come to mind.

The oshi no ko fandom is so tiring, 98% is people with bad comprehensive skills overeating to everything.

I mean we literally don't know Akane's response to Kana, or Kana's reasoning of how she got to this decision. Plus its not like the dad cant just go and talk to his children in a later chapter. Kinda feel like this is an overreaction.

I dont get why Kana said so ... Like Akane melts his heart and everything cause she has not seen it ... But being an Akane fan it is true though , there have been so many tender , emotional and powerful moments between them , its just that the Kana chapter was recent and that many are fans of Kana is why people dont really understand why she said it .

I didn't read the manga but from what is shown it actually makes perfect sense. Kana is simply scared of starting a serious relationship with him so she throws the ball out miserably. She will regret it later on and there will be a pitched battle😂

People already have been coming together and looking at this and it might lead to Aqua potentially chasing after Kana because Akane might tell him. I for one have a theory that I honestly think Kana or Akane might die by his father, more on the side of Akane since he knows she's trying to get into his way. I have a feeling we will lose one or more of our characters at this point.

Aka would much rather develop a useless love triangle (I'm sure as hell it'll end with either Aqua x Ruby or nothing) rather than giving us information on Ai or even the main antagonist. To this day we still dunno squat about 'em, even being told their relationship was just Aqua's fanfic. Aka also speedran the movie arc, giving 3 filler mid chapters in a row. Kana acting wildly out of character in the latest chapter... Atp I'm just here for the train crash. So much for it being "Aqua and Ruby's story". Nah, it's just harem bait with uh, oh yeah, "revenge"

I don't get what there is to be mad about, even when i know the actual content of this ch, it's obvious that Kana has no self-esteem and actually thinks Aqua and Akane can be a good couple. Now obviously that's not true since Kana is the best pick to be with him.

While this may seem daunting for Ruby to do at first glance, we’re most likely gonna get the reason in the next chapter. It may be because Ruby was burned too many times on trying to show Aqua how she feels and didn’t want to get hurt again or maybe she overheard Aqua’s plan to hurt and kill Hikaru.

If you guys liked oshi in the beginning, but currently where its at in the story you dont. Would recommend reading “Fuuka” its kinda similar but leaves out the incest, and the horrible tragedies some stars face while rising to the top, While still showing what it takes to be a top performer in it.

Akane stan here, so... long post ahead. Look, I loved the first episode of Oshi No Ko, but I'm not gonna lie... what got me into the manga was Akane's romance with Aqua. I *love* the idea of two broken people helping one another. I don't usually ship characters, but I really do love their romance story. Aqua saved Akane, maybe to manipulate her later but to my understanding that didn't come until after he saw how good she was at analyzing people, so him saving her was a genuine act of selflessness. Their getting together for show and Akane helping Aqua deal with his trauma was peak, but I also just loved the fact that Aqua *was* willing to be with her and *was* perfectly happy with her when he thought that he didn't need to go for revenge, and it's clear Akane cared enough to not want to ruin his happiness. Aqua walked away from her when it was clear that he did have to continue her revenge, a revenge she know will ensure his end, so now it's her turn to save him. I love that idea for a romance. As for Kana... Never saw Aqua being into her romantically. He cares. He clearly does. He goes far for her, cares about her, but... is he *interested* in her is the question, and I just never got that. He helped save her from that scandal, but that was in part to push his own plan along. He even laughed about it when Kana was out of sight. Yeah, he has *fun* with her, he *does* see her as a good Idol, and maybe it's because he sees Kana as more of a proper Idol than Ruby, so she reminds him of Ai even more. But... has he ever really shown interest in her? We know Kana has, certainly, but... has he ever shown it back? Really? I feel people cling to Aqua being impressed with her in that first performance but... I don't know, it just doesn't feel as well built up compared to Akane. Now, this *could* go either way, still. I can admit, odds aren't looking great for either girl, but I don't think it's over until it's over. It's just too... suspicious if you ask me. Could it pull a Domestic Girlfriend, where one girl concedes but then there's a last second flip? Maybe. Maybe neither will be happy with Aqua because he'll succeed and that will be his end. Maybe Ruby will get her own wish, or maybe something else will happen. We'll see, but... I do personally hope Akane and Aqua get back together. We'll see.

There is only one way to describe Kana's behavior from the spoilers of this chapter. Kana Arima have always been insecure about herself and she's willing to give up on her own happiness to make others happy.💔 It's an unhealthy approach to herself. I wish that Akane would tell her that in the next chapter.

One of the main reasons why I liked Oshi no ko was bcoz it was giving me a lot of knowledge about the entertainment industry in an entertaining way. Also the mystery aspect like who killed AI was also a big part of my interest. Both of these elements seems more or less completely absent from all the recent Manga chapters. And somehow the author started teasing the audiance with stuff like this. "can I kiss you?" "we need to practice kissing for the movie" like dawg what are we even doing here? Good for ppl who like this but I'm just not one of you. I came here for industry knowledge and mystery aspect, not for this. I wonder how anime only ppl will react to this when it gets animated.

Hi chibi, just wanted to recommend a wn called Shadow Slave. If you like stuff like mushoku tensei or re zero it really scracthed that adventure, edgy fantasy itch concept is unique and the world is just incredible the charachters are so fun and interesting, i was just as engaged in the scenes where they just sit together and banter, and in the scenes where there is a fight of epic proportions and while our main charachter does grow strong, its by no means easy and unearned and also the writer is an actual superhuman he writes 2 chapters a day and still keeps the story consistant, super engaging while also having pretty much no plotholes and like lore and callback 300 chapters apart or even more also i dont think i have ever seen such an interesting and different world so my warmest recommendations I think you would love it.

Even if they are 100% correct i would rather wait a day aftet the official releases to see if there has been any major mistakes in the official else just consume the official...japanese as a language is very complex and has layers which translations can sometimes just ruin.

I think you're missing the point of Oshi no Ko. This isn't about the entertainment industry or the revenge plot, not really. This is about the experiences of all these characters that are put in different situations. It's about how they react to joy and sadness and how they figure things out for themselves in terms of what they wanna do in life (professionally, romantically etc) and what kinda people they wanna be. It's a very human story.
